I got by far the best experience ever when purchasing a motorcycle.
Since when only inquiring about prices, Brandon was always very quick to provide responses. Also, any questions that I would have about the bikes, he would promptly reply with a lot of detailed information, not only technicality of the bike but also about comfort, etc. He gave me extremely useful tips on how to upgrade from my old bike and I never felt he was pushing hard to sell the motorcycle.
As a buyer, of course I made my own market research before coming to a decision and despite there are a few other dealers closer to me than K&B Motorsports, it totally worths making the deal with them. I not only got a great pre-​sale service, but also the price was very competitive and I’m satisfied. For the entire process I felt like Brandon was more like a friend trying to make sure I would get the right bike than someone trying to sell me anything that I could be interested in.
On top of everything, once I got there to finally do the paperwork, everything was incredibly fast. I already bought and leased bikes and cars before, but nothing got so close to being as fast as it was.
For sure, in the future, K&B will be my first option whenever I need or whenever suggesting to friends.

K&B Motorsports is an elite motorsports sales and service facility. They have every product from KTM, Yamaha, and Kawasaki on the showroom floor, yet it is not cluttered or over packed.
I brought my Yamaha TW200 in for some new tires and brakes, and they had it done a couple days later, even though I did not need to pick it up until the following week.
Every employee strives to make you feel welcome while you are there, and it was a pleasurable experience through and through. I will only let K&B touch my bikes from here on out.
They are that good.

I bought my first bike two months ago and Brandon was helpful throughout the process, explaining every step of the process and never tried to up-​sell me stuff that I did not want or need. Other dealers should read Brandon’s book on integrity. Buying the bike was great and it only got better after that. There was no need to negotiate since all fees were reasonable and I already got a big discount on the price.
Brandon was always prompt in replying to my newbie emails even after a couple of months.
K&B also took care of ordering a new relay since the one that came with the bike wasn’t working. K&B guys looked into it immediately and dealing with Brandon over email was a pleasant experience again.
Just awesome, nuff said!

Looked everywhere for a KTM RC390 and only a few dealers had them but wanted too much for those extra fees. When I inquired about the KTM with this dealer, his email response was fast and informative. He worked with me through the whole process and made it super simple and easy. Your first service is 15% off and the service team is great too. Your baby will be in good hands. I will go back for a second bike if they can get me a daytona 675r. Def recommend this place. Did I mention the drive through is nice as well, it’s Petaluma!

First time experience was great. They had what I needed and I was in and out in no time. Brandon stayed after hours to accommodate my schedule and was super friendly and easy to work with. Great transaction

What’s really fishy in Petaluma? Either 1 star (alot of customer complaints — eg MOTIVATED)… Or flowery compliments? Wierd. Brandon supposed to be awesome to some and the core problem in other’s.
Bottom line. IF your wiling to take the HUGE risk and everything goes the dealership’s way buy a bike at your risk.
They offer no warranty on used bikes. They do not stand by their assesment of the bike (wouldnt allow another mechanic to inspect to verify, nor provide a list of what they do inspect/​service before resale)…I really wanted that bike, and when the customer jumps through all the hoops to make a sale happen they respond with nastiness, curtness, and appolgies that it’s everyone’s fault but their’s (ps.the same lady that backed up Brandon’s awful service in other negative transactions did the same here)…nice words but clearly no clue on doing what it takes to make a. customer feel secure riding thier products; physically, finacially, and the good warm feelings.
Having driven to purchase a bike, a ton of CASH in hand, was completely looking forward to it… highly motivated… I tried desperately to give him my cash… he wouldn’t fix a safety bike issue which a halfway decent wrench turner could do (sorry, guys in shop are leaving now, can’t). Won’t stay open late to do paperwork. On the phone, the price was negotiable, in person tried to stick it for the max, refusing to negoriate for undisclosed damage, and fix a potentially hazardous braking problem.
So great wasn’t my experience at all, they wouldn’t stay open or even allow us to have the bike we were prepared to purchase CASH in hand looked at by my mechanic. The bike has been there 3 months and was assured to be in great shape… and a few minor issues were clearly never attended in that time.
Maybe it was the bike, maybe it was personal, but not a way to do business in my case.
Parting note, we (another person I was riding with) were clearly warned about this establishment by a group of local riders, in the week that followed. Another dealership offered a 90 warranty on everything and ¹⁄₃ the miles (they claimed that no one offers warranties on used bikes). Clearly, a bunch of other review note many of same problems backing up what my experience was.

I would not recommend buying a used bike from this establishment. I found Brandon slight rude, and unwilling to work with me. I test rode a used Yamaha FZ1, and the back break was completely out. The bike had obvious damage from going down on both sides and no mention of this was made prior to the test ride. This establishment also does not offer any kind of warranty. Do not waste your time coming here.
I do have to say that the guy in charge of parts was pretty friendly, and more willing to help than Brandon was.

Ive purchased multiple motorcycles via dealerships and private parties and I don’t think I’ve ever had more of a pleasurable experience than I did with Brandon at K&B Motorsports. I found the motorcycle on-​line and I had never heard of K&B or even been to Petaluma. Brandon and I exchanged e-​mails and phone calls for a few days prior to me coming out to the dealership. Once there the motorcycle was exactly as advertised, kicked over on the first time and the financing paperwork was quick and easy. Everyone I dealt with was incredibly nice. I highly recommend and will definitely go back to K&B Motorsports. Brandon is a top shelf employee. Definitely satisfied.

When i was in high school they worked on my bike, now i bought a pre-​owned bike from Brandon, it is great under kbb and ive been taking it in for service to them, their mechanics are awesome as well as the prices, they are on point when they tell you that the work will be done by certain time and they stand by their work.

Great experience! Glad we drove and hour and got exactly what we were told over the phone. My son is very happy with his new dirtbike.

These guys are great! Called inquiring about a bike I’ve been looking for and the second I heard they had it I headed there. The trip ended up taking close to 4 hours because of traffic and Brandon was nice enough to stay substantially later than closing to make the deal and had everything ready to go. Highly recommend them and a great selection. Just note they’re down the street at a different address than yahoo maps says. I’ve purchased many vehicles but I have to say this was the best experience

I bought a 2015 KTM 350sxf from Brandon two months back and I’m very happy with the way everything went. Good professional and honest shop.

I have added two more stars to my rating based on HER prompt and excellent customer service. Wendy I appreciate you reaching out to me in such a timely manner. I do not plan on taking advantage of any discount, I will happily pay full price. I just want to feel like the people getting my business are happy to have it, and will work hard to get it again.

Not happy with my recent experience at K&B.
I really to support my local bike shops over buying online, even though it can cost a few more bucks in the long run. Why? Because it’s your local bike shop that can help you out when you need a part in a hurry, or you just need 1 simple bolt in order to go riding this weekend. Unless it’s K&B that is. In that case you’re shit out of luck…
Here’s the scoop. I needed a single part, a rear sprocket bolt and nut. One of mine made it’s way AWOL on my last ride. I noticed this the afternoon before I was planning on going riding. I have a KTM, K&B is a KTM dealer. Perfect! So I cruised on down to grab the part.
Here’s where the BS begins. I waited nearly 10 minutes to speak with the parts guy, as he was busy typing away on his computer, not bothering to acknowledge me. Finally he looks up and realized that I’m standing right in front of him, and have been for 10 minutes. He’s an older guy, gray hair, I figure he knows bikes, looks like he’s been around them a while. Well apparently a sprocket bolt is a goddamn mystery to him, as It takes nearly 10 more minutes for him to even figure out what it is I’m looking for! Finally I walk over to one of the KTM 450SXF’s they have in stock and point at the part I need. «This! I need one of these!» He goes back to the computer and types away for another 5 minutes, rummages around in the back of the shop for 5 more, then says «nope. Don’t have em.»
Great. So this is that point where I’m asking myself, why do I bother with supporting local shops. I couldn’t ordered the bolt 15 times already in the half hour it took for them to tell me they don’t have it. GRRRR!
So whatever, I strike out, they are a KTM dealer, they don’t have the part, oh well. So against my better judgement I have them order it for me, thinking maybe It’ll be in sooner than I could get it online.
Nope. Took a week. Got the call that it was in, so I cruised over to pick it up. Here’s where I really lost my patience with K&B. I go to pick up the bolt, and it’s there, but it doesn’t have the nut to go with it! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I pointed to exactly what I needed on the bike in the shop. It blows me away. If you’re the guy clicking on the part on the computer, and you notice it doesn’t come with a nut, maybe you would ask «hey do you need the nut too!»
Argh. So yes bolt, no nut. I ask very nicely if they happen to have a nut laying around (not likely I know.) guy (younger guy this time, older guy is there but on the computer again) rummages around in the back for a while and comes back proudly displaying my bolt with a nut on it! «Sweet! I think, they’ve redeemed themselves!» Until I take the part in my hand and realize he’s screwed on some chintzy jam nut that just happens to fit the threads. Not a sprocket nut at all.
I say «this is not a sprocket nut.» «Here’s a sprocket nut.» And point again to the rear sprocket set on the nearby KTM 450sxf. Guy just looks at me like I’m speaking German.
I leave, muttering lots of grouchy swear words under my breath. Or maybe not under my breath. Not quite sure.
I know, big deal right? They didn’t have a part in stock. Boohoo. That’s not the point though. The point for me is, wake up! Try a little customer service. Stop acting like me coming in there and asking for a basic part off a bike you sell is like asking for weapons grade plutonium. And don’t try to pass off a cheap nut for a sprocket nut unless you truly don’t know the difference, in which case, learn about motorcycles.

Brandon is Awesome! I worked with him for about a week on a new 2016 KTM 150sx that my son was purchasing. He gave me a great price over email and was patient while we sold my son’s current bike so he could make the purchase. My local dealer (whom I had purchased from before) matched Brandon’s price and was 3 hours closer. I thanked Brandon for his time, explained the situation and told him we would be purchasing locally early the next week (this was Saturday night). Brandon immediately emailed be back with an offer that paid for my gas and OPENED THE SHOP ON SUNDAY just for us! That’s FANTASTIC customer service and I’m telling all my District 36 friends.

Don’t buy a demo bike from these guys. I bought a bike August 8 and didn’t ride it until end of September. I rode about 10 laps at a track and noticed a week later that one of the fork seals was leaking. It was clearly a pre existing condition. They wouldn’t warranty the repair and wanted $ 150 to fix it.

Have to say we (wife and I) had a great experience when purchasing our 2015 FJR1300. I had been looking around to see about trading in our 2013 FJR for the new ES model and found a great deal in LA. I was planning on riding the 2013 to LA, trading it in and then riding the new one home. As I was looking to confirm a couple days before I left I stumbled upon K and B. I purchased the 2013 from a shop in Santa Rosa in which I was not happy with the service department at all so was a little skeptical at first as I live about an hour away.
My wife and I were out and about in the area so we stopped by and spoke with Brandon. Great customer service, timely acknowledgement (which is a pet peeve of mine) and we spoke about what we wanted, how much I wanted for the 2013 (in fairness he gave me a ball park until he saw it) and what the deal was for the LA bike. TALK ABOUT NO HASSLE! We chatted, basically agreed in concept and he asked me if he should prep the bike. We said yes, came back the next day and did the deal. He gave us the price we were looking for not only the 2015 but the 2013 also. Would recommend this shop to anyone. I am not sure about the service staff as of yet, but parts folks (Mike I think) was a great help. My only improvement critique is have a full tank of gas when purchasing (another pet peeve of mine :)

What a great buying experience at K&B Motorsports! Well worth the 2 hour drive!
I had been seeing their advertisements for KTM dirt bikes on Craigslist and after checking out some of the great reviews here on Unilocal I finally contacted them. I spoke with Brandon and he was very professional and helpful. He knew exactly what bikes he had and which ones were coming in. He worked out a great deal for me on a 2015 KTM that was on its way. We quickly came to an agreement over the phone and I put a deposit down. A few days later my bike comes in and I made the drive out there. Everyone was very friendly and Brandon was great to work with. This place is a perfect example of what a motorsports dealership should be and how a salesmen should interact with a customer.
I highly recommend K&B and they will likely see more business from me in the future.

Brandon is great is sales but Alex in service is not helpful at all. He shouldn’t be the manager. I called Brandon to file a warranty claim for my new bike that is having starter issues and Alex called me to try to convince me not to file the claim. He sounded lazy and disrespectful like he did not care or even have any desire to help me file my claim. I emailed Brandon twice and finally Alex called back to say he needed pictures. I sent the pictures and he acknowledged getting them but never responded. I contacted Brandon again and he made Alex call me back and again he was not helpful and acted like I was inconveniencing him by making him work. Then he said he needed to see the bike; well it is a 2 hour drive. Brandon had to keep asking Alex to do his job and help me with my warranty claim.
I’m going to my local KTM dealer who appreciates my business. I wouldn’t trust that lazy Alex with anything; he sounds like a moron. I don’t know how someone could be a service manager and not want to service anyone’s motorcycle. Alex will delay your warranty claim until the warranty expires because he is too lazy and not helpful.

After calling dozens of dealers and researching dozens of bikes, I bought two 2014 Kawasaki Ninja’s from Brandon at this store. This guy is great, made sure I understood the entire process, offered as much help as he could, and was super chill even to this day when I call with Newbie questions.
Also, I didn’t have a license or any experience in riding, so I was concerned with bringing it home. He arranged delivery and made sure both bikes got here in great condition!
You can get motorcycles anywhere, but few places offer the experience and service This place did!
