Best deep dish I’ve ever had. Their double crust is another animal altogether. An amazing gastro-beast that can only be explained when you order it. The crust is flavorful and the sauce is delicious. There is a generous amount of mozzarella on their pizzas. The good kind. If you are lactose intolerant… well you should know to avoid this place. Great old time atmosphere. My mom always told me that their restaurant was built in an old whore house. Not sure if that is true, but they have lagunitas IPA on tap and their pizza is awesome. Enough said.

My boyfriend and I are from the Chicago area so we know Chicago style pizza. This isn’t exact, but it’s pretty damn close. This place is always packed when we go, which is probably the only drawback from this place. Friendly service and good food :)

Service was only a little slow for the boyfriend and I on a holiday weekend. But the pizza definitely does make up for that! It was so deliciously cheesy and satisfying. We ordered a small and split the toppings and MAN! It was worth all $ 19.00 of it. We were so full. The pies are jam packed. You’re definitely getting quality pizza for your dollar here. I recommend coming here! :) Will return next time we’re in Petaluma.

I used to go to Old Chicago when I was a teen and early 20’s for group dates and friendly dinners. The pizza was totally awesome, still is! you have to wait a bit on weekend nights to be seated but it’s worth the wait. The owner hustles around and tends to customers, they have really good and inexpensive wine… I hope it continues to be this great! Kudo’s to the staff!

How can you beat huge deep dish pizza?! This is as good as it gets, a local tradition as well. Service is always helpful and there is plenty to choose from on the menu. I was with a group of 12 and it was no problem making reservations. Pizzas actually came out faster than normal, they usually take 40 minutes to cook! The place has a cozy atmosphere that hasn’t changed over the years. They still serve the pans on top of a candle. :) Must visit if you are in town.

Incredible service. Kelsey was out waitress and she’s amazing. We never ran out of water and she kept us updated on our pizza. It’s loud in here but I could hear my friend just fine. The pizza is phenomenal. Seriously. I currently live 2hrs away for work and I try to come here as often as possible. It’s worth it hands down.

Chicago style pizza is terrible. That said, these guys do a great job making a mess of my grandkids faces. The sauces and toppings spill off your slice so much so that using utensils is mandatory. I’m not totally complaining here, the ingredients are fresh and well seasoned but the deep dish style pie is next to inedible on the fly. The restaurant is clean and inviting, the staff is helpful and not overbearing. My daughter used to love this place and my grandchildren beg to go whenever we pass it but being from the land of fabulous pizza(Brooklyn, NY) I cannot and will not endorse the Chicago style. I wish you all the luck in the world and will continue to come in with the family until DiFarra’s will ship me pies across the country.

The best deep dish pizza I have ever had. The building is historical. The ambiance is rustic and joyful. The staff is super friendly. And the pizza is superb.

Not being able to split a check between even two cards is pathetic, let’s start with that. Get with the damn times and stop ruining friendships. During my last three visits here, over the span of a few months, the service has been comically awful. First visit, the server forgot to put our pizza order in and made sure we were aware that it was the kitchen’s fault. Cool — real comforting factoid, thanks. After a wait of 1.5 hours, I couldn’t tell you how delicious the pizza was, because I was so hungry that I inhaled it. During my second visit there, the same server forgot to put in an order for someone at the table again. She apologized, shit happens, I understand. Yes, I am more forgiving when it is not my pizza. Still, not a good track record for this particular server. And it’s not like we could split checks by anything other than cash, so the fact that her specific order was omitted was strange. My most recent visit a few days ago included a salad taking 45 minutes to be served, our server defensively informing us «we are busy» when asking about the tardy salad’s whereabouts(the restaurant was at 20% capacity, max), one of my dining companions being poked by a rusty nail sticking out of the bench, and me having to choose between not getting drink refills or walking up and asking for one, because, hey, «they’re busy» serving more important tables than mine. Hey! Your drinks are expensive and I got a headache from reading your unnecessarily-redundant, confusing-as-frick menu, so don’t glare at me when I’m taking advantage of my free soda re-fills! *** Pro-tip: my studies show that the further away you sit from the front, the more you will be neglected. The pizza is alright. I enjoyed that the olives are minced, mostly because I hate olives. The composition/ingredients of the pizza aren’t too amazing. The deep-dish aspect seems to refer more to the crust rather than the amount of filling. Picture a thicker-than-usual pie crust only filled halfway with… pie stuff. Is that considered deep dish? I honestly don’t know. I would assume it was full though. I bet the pizza would taste better if I wasn’t so disappointed by the rest of my experience by the time it got to me. And, look, it’s cool that the building’s got history, and character, from being a brothel in its past life. So edgy, so neat. Would brushing away spiderwebs that are within arms reach, and checking the benches for nails take away too much from the ambiance? I don’t think so. The pizza is not good enough for me to sit in this gross, poorly kept place full of angry beings. If someone suggests coming here again, I’d definitely suggest take-out or a less-hostile restaurant.

There’s pizza, and then there’s Old Chicago Pizza. If you haven’t tried it, you must. When choosing your toppings trust me when I say less is more. Every time I promise to take a photo to share, but as soon as the pizza comes, my selfishness overtakes me and I forget about you, all I can think about is how delicious that meal is going to be. I drive from another county just to get this pie! Yum! Everyone loves pizza, but the people working there seemed to be «pizza-ed out». Great location, which we had them in Marin. Delicious food, every time. Service, I hope they have a better 2016!

It’s okay. The people were dull. The pizza was okay. I hated the minced olives. The sliced canned ones are better, wish they used them. The pizza is a little pricey but the overall bill was fair. Ranch was good.

The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because of the limited menu options. The only thing they have for appetizers is a couple French bread options and a couple salad options. It’s like a build your own pizza but with very limited sauces and toppings. The quality of all the food is hands down amazing but I would like to have more options.

We decided to go down to Petaluma to see a show and to try a new place for dinner. After asking the people in Facebook land. We finally decided on Old Chicago. Everyone kept hyping up their famous DEEPDISH. We arrived on a Friday night. The place is a tad tricky to find. But we finally managed to get in. After about 10 minutes, we were seated in a nice cozy corner. I liked their menu of being able to build your own pizza. I went for a 5 topping pizza. I also ordered a Little Sumptin Extra. They brought me the wrong beer, which was a regular Lagunitas IPA. Which was fine because I got the wrong beer on the house. They were pretty busy. And our 2 little pizzas came out in one hour. It probably takes a long time for all of that dough to cook on the deep dish. That just gave us more time to gaze at the cobwebs and burnt out bulbs in the chandeliers. When the pizza arrived, there was this oooey gooey puddle of cheese. And it was loaded with toppings. Tasty and very filling!!! Our waitress and I shared the same name. and she was FANTASTIC!!! She was attentive, fast, speedy an checked on us on a regular basis. We would come back to Old Chicago one day. but we would also like to check out other pizza places as well.

On a day trip home from Bodega Bay my husband and I found this place listed on Unilocal. We wanted just a random fossil spot and we were not disappointed! Their pizza is off the hook! We got a medium and left with some to take home. The crust is crunchy and chewy and the sauce is amazing! The mozzarella has a delicious butteriness to it that is delicious! They have these groovy candle holders on the table that keep your pizza warm while you eat! Genius! Haven’t had pizza this good since I ate at The Pie in Salt Lake. This tops that, and it’s closer to home.

I used to come here as a kid all the time. I also used to come here with my best friend on the regular, so this place holds a special place in my heart. Their house salad is very simple but I’m a fan. The ranch is so tasty. I also LOVE their pizza. The crust is so fluffy, has great flavor, and the pizza is not greasy. I usually can’t eat pizza out because it gives me such bad stomach aches, but not here. One piece tends to fill me up but that just means more leftovers! Service is a mix between good and bad. It really depends on when you go. The atmosphere is super cute old school Petaluma to me. Overall this is a place I’ll continue to support.

God I love this one. Since moving back to Ptown, I started coming here more and more. Their staff is always fun and friendly. The service is great. They have a reasonable wine list that has some really good options on it. The large salad is always over flowing, and the homemade dressing are to die for. Now to the pizza. I love love love the pepperoni, or the sausage, maybe with a few black olives and that’s it. I don’t need actual veggies on it — because the sauce and the cheese is so tasty that your mouth is singing when you eat it. Ask for extra dressing to dip your crust in, you will be glad you did.

As you are reading this, you might wonder why there are no pictures of the food attached to this review? Well that’s because, our group devoured our pizza in a minute’s time lol. But really though, this pizza product from Old Chicago Pizza was too good to waste time on taking pictures of. Our group got the medium size pizza, half pepperoni/half combo. This pizza is extremely cheesy, don’t say I didn’t warn yah!

This is a great hidden little pizza place! The building is old and the pizza place is located on the second floor. You can see the sign from the street but it’s a maze of stairs and hallways when you enter the building. We grabbed a table by the window where you could see downtown. We were greeted promptly and ordered an italian salad and a combination pizza. The salad had fresh ingredients and a large portion. We ordered a small pizza and had a hard time finishing it! The crust is nice and fluffy and they pile the ingredients up high! I ate one piece and I was full! We will be back to Old Chicago Pizza!

BESTPIZZA I HAVEEVERHAD! the crust is crispy on the outside but soft and perfectly warm on the inside. Although it is a deep dish thick crust, it is perfect. First of all, a small is plenty for 2 for people. The Hawaiian was amazing. Also, try the sangria! Huge glass for only 5 dollars.
