Description

Specialties

Honest, traditional, and personal approach to martial arts training for children and adults. We offer instruction in practical self defense (not cage fighting!), internal arts (tai chi, yoga, and meditation), and character development for all stages of life.

PAMA will help you find balance in your body, mind, and emotions. All are welcome to learn regardless of perceived limitations you may think you have. You are not too old, or too out of shape, or too inept to train. We offer a personalized, non-competitive environment that includes private lessons.

History

Established in 1979.

Petaluma Academy of Martial Arts (PAMA) was formerly Petaluma Kenpo Karate School. Though we are predominantly a Kenpo school, we changed to an academy of martial arts because our Tai Chi and Latosa Escrima programs are over 30 years old and growing as fast as Kenpo.

We are a part of this community and support many of the local schools, COTS, (local homeless shelter), Mentor Me, and many youth clubs. Because of our longevity in Petaluma, we are teaching many of the children of children that we taught. This teaching of the generations shall be PAMA’s legacy.
