I am a credentialed teacher and tutor and hold a CLAD Multiple Subject Credential. I tutor students from grades K-8 as well as adults. I have built a reputation for being calm, patient, creative, and multi-faceted in my teaching style. I understand and respect the concept of multiple intelligences and am adept at teaching students with a wide range of learning styles.
I work with students who crave enrichment, as well as those who need remedial help. I enjoy working with high school students and adults in writing and literature as well. I teach ESL and Spanish (levels 1 & 2) to adults. In addition, my reference librarian background equips me to teach research methods and organizational skills.

Business Owner
I am a teacher, private tutor, and poet who relocated to Petaluma in 2012. After a twenty-five-year career as a reference librarian, I went back to school to obtain my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 1998. After teaching in the upper elementary grades for fourteen years, I started my tutoring business in the mid-coast town of Half Moon Bay.
I am skilled at helping students internalize effective organizational strategies for research, time management, and lifelong mastery. I love helping students overcome math phobia and enjoy math. I specialize in creating customized learning programs for each student, based on their learning challenges and needs.
I am also a prolific poet and painter/collage artist. I enjoy sharing my work at local venues. I host Rivertown Poets, a monthly poetry salon in Petaluma.
