Ulia’s Delicatessen

so excited to find the Ulia’s Petaluma location after being a longtime customer of the Santa Rosa Stony Point locale! The breakfasts are my fave and after having to cut out grains in my diet, i can still enjoy their breakfast egg bowls – but i definitely recommend trying the breakfast sandwiches or burritos too! Lunch has so many amazing options, that you might as well come back for that, not to mention the friendly, accommodating and helpful staff! Oh and don’t forget a cookie before you leave… trust me, you have never had a better, fresher, tastier cookie in your life! (no exaggeration, ask anyone there!)

I’ve only been here twice, but I swear I’ll be a regular soon. Their chili is amazing, their kail and sausage soup is amazing. My husband swears by their Rubens and I just had a summer sandwich that has made my day. Super happy pregnant woman right here! Everyone is so kind, there’s not a long wait, the places is very clean and I’ll be back to try everything on the menu!

I love Ulia’s a lot and I’m surprised I hadn’t reviewed them already (my bad).
The breakfast burritos are the bomb. Full of goodies and all the stuff you love about a BB!
My work orders cookies platters from them on a regular basis. They are fresh every day. Crispy sound the edges and soft in the middle just the way a cookie should be. If people come to a meeting and there are no cookies, they get mad!
I’ve also ordered the half panini and soup. It’s a great value because the half sandwich is more like a full sandwich and a great portion of homemade soup. I love, love, love the soups.
Good good, great value and a comfortable dine in spot.

Delicious! I had a team of 20 – 25 people, I attempted to make the order a day in advance and Julie was very accommodating and nailed it.
We ordered breakfast and lunch for the same day, it was delivered on time, hot and ready to eat!

It is no secret that sandwiches are one of my favorite things to eat for lunch. Glad I checked this place out. The service was helpful and friendly. I tried the Sausalito without the avacodo and changed the pesto to the Chipotle spread. The sandwich was fresh. I loved the cilantro and the spice of the turkey. The Chipotle spread was a bit of a disappointment — I wish it had a bit more pazzaz to it. All in all though a neat place. Will definately be back to explore more on their menu.

I have to say this hidden treasure is worth the hunt. I was blessed to have been introduced to this delight by a friend of mine who I met for lunch a few weeks back. Hidden back in the Business Center, One morning I was in the area again and wanted some breakfast. Not thinking that they would be open, I drove by at 8 am to find the OPEN light in the window. As I walked in I was greeted by the most friendly staff, Steve asked me how are you this morning, and having one of those days answered, «not sure yet». By the time I even sat down to eat, these incredible people made it certain for me that no matter what I was dealing with, it was assuredly going to be a great day! Ullia’s café has a very extensive menu with organic and healthy options, from a delicious egg scramble with sauteed vegetables and organic sausage, to lettuce wraps filled with whatever you are delighted to put in it. Not only can you fill your tummy with the most delicious creation you can put together in your head, but the staff is incredible friendly, enjoyable and determined to make sure you are taken care of. I highly recommend that any and all of you experience the Ulia’s experience… you will not be disappointed. Andrea, the manager… kudos on putting together an incredible staff and taking pride in caring for your most valuable asset of yours, the customers. See you guys soon!

Delicious sandwiches from a welcoming, helpful, professional, and well-​run deli. Ulia’s is a perfect daily lunch spot. Why waste time with places like Subway serving you nuclear «phude» with test tube vegetables that are wilted then dyed green? Twenty years from now, everything that place serves will be a known carcinogen. So get a real fresh fix with real vegetables and satisfying bread at Ulia’s instead.
I am impressed by solid, classic places like this. They aren’t putting Pop Rocks or other tchochke ingredients on their sandwiches in an act of desperation for differentiation. It’s similar to how I’d want to run a business. Just do it good, do it right, and go home! Lol.
I really enjoyed the custom grilled chicken sandwich on dutch crunch with mayo, mustard, horseradish, lettuce, tomato, provolone, and avocado. It was simple, had great texture, and tasted excellent – all I’m looking for. I ended up with a bag of chips, a Yerba Mate, and a next-​level, fresh-​baked peanut butter cookie for about $ 13. If you’re on a lunch budget and just wanted the sandwich, I imagine you could escape there at around $ 8, which is more than fair.
I’m not entirely sure who Ulia is, but he/​she/​it/​they are doing a fine job at their craft. Go for the peanut butter cookie up-​sell; you won’t be disappointed! I hope to be back soon.

Nice deli if you are at the health center or the gym nearby. Good selection of sandwiches and bread to choose from. I was in the mood for a healthy, vegi-​loaded sandwich (hence the order of avocado, micro-​green sprouts, tomato, etc on my Turkey and Gouda sandwich.) The sandwich was huge, with an ample amount of turkey, cheese, mayo (too much of all these for me). Unfortunately, I have never seen avocado slices so thin or sprouts so sparse on a sandwich, and so it didn’t feel like the healthy lunch I was going for.

Eat there regularly. Usually a salad and can’t go wrong ordering the Cobb. Fresh food

Was at Ulia’s on Wednesday for lunch. Ordered a Roma sandwich on a Dutch Crunch Roll. Service was slow. Only after I ordered, paid and sat down for 10 minutes did someone from Ulia’s approach our table to inform me that they were out of Dutch Crunch rolls. This is a mainstream bread offering.
What kind of a deli/​sandwich place runs out of a popular bread choice at lunchtime? They couldn’t even suggest an option, just saying there were other bread choices possible. I had to ask which ones and was told sliced or soft roll. Reluctantly I chose the soft roll since I felt that I would offend the server if I asked what types of sliced bread were available.
The soft roll was terrible. Pasty, gummy with no flavor — with a white wonder bread like consistency. The ingredients for the Roma sandwich were underwhelming, both in taste and quantity.
Stay away from this place if you can. There are better choice nearby.

I come to this place every once and a while and really have never been disappointed. They have an extensive selection of gourmet sandwiches or you can pick alacarte to your particular likings. They also have gluten free bread which I have been told is good tasting. You can phone in orders to save time.
If they are busy it can take a little longer to get your food especially if you are eating there. But the nice thing is they will bring it out to you.
The wait time is the only reason I did not give 4 stars.
I love the atmosphere and the music playing in the «background».
Every now and then they run out of an item, which can mean that business is good or they don’t plan well…

I figured it’s about time I review this gem. I have been here about 5 times and each time I am more than pleased. The ingredients are fresh, the sammiches (yes I said sammich) are imaginative and their soups are to die for. Their soups are made from scratch as is everything at the deli. I recommend the clam chowder. I actually call ahead to make sure they have it and upgrade my size so I can take it home. They have a half sammich soup combo which allows you to get any sammich you want or a panini (
) and they make a tendency to remember your name. They also bring your food out to you. This place has stolen my heart as well as my stomach.

This place is near my office, so it is great to go to when I am craving a sandwich/​soup/​salad. Overall, the salads our delish. The sandwiches are okay, definitely try the veggie panini, it’s my office favorite out of all of them. As for the soups, I got it once, and it was okay, but could have been more eventful and flavorful.
The service decent, the place is clean and quaint.
If you are in the area and need a some good food that fits the sandwich/​salad/​soup bill this is a good option, but not mindblowing:)

I work in the area and have been to Ulia’s every single day since they opened. And for good reason…
They have a great menu, it’s not too much to look at, but it’s enough to try something different every day! I have loved every single soup they’ve ever made and every side dish they make is fresh and tasty as well! I like the fact that they don’t have the same sides every day. It keeps things new and vibrant. Some days they’ll have a delicious kale and lentil salad and other days they’ll have a cornucopia of roasted veggies called «Sonoma Bounty» and boy is it! Sonoma Bounty is hands down one of my favorite things to get. And funny as it is, I’m glad they don’t offer it every day, I might over load on it! But on days they don’t offer it, they still have a fantastic array of things to choose from. One of my other favorite things is their Sandwich of the month! Each month it’s something fun and delicious. A type of sandwich you wouldn’t think to put together.
I also can’t say enough about the way they’ve remodeled the place! It’s beautiful compared to what it’s been in the past. I have visited every single deli that has occupied that space and no one has warmed it up and made it look as nice as they have. You can tell that presentation is important to them. The place always looks tidy and clean and I love the new furniture, new paint, new floors, walls, new energy. It’s just a great looking place to walk into now.
The real reason I keep coming back, aside from the food and décor, is the people. Andrea and her mom Julie are just amazing. They are smiling and fun every time I see them. They treat everyone with love like real family businesses do and they strive to make your experience a good one. The staff they have is stellar as well. Krysta, what a gem. Her laugh is the best thing you’ve ever heard and she’s great at what she does. Get as complicated as you want with her, she can handle it! (She does with me every time I’m in a picky mood, haha). Xander is sweet and kind, always wanting to help you. His calm energy is necessary behind the counter and he’s really fun to joke around with. And Denise! Denise! You will never have a better coffee. She can single-​handedly turn your day around with a latte. They are a great team. And when it picks up, they are moving quickly and efficiently, which is what hungry people like to see!
OMG I almost forgot about the COOKIES. They absolutely, 100% make the BEST cookies you’ll ever have. It’s a problem. But it’s the BEST problem to have! When it’s time for your afternoon coffee, be sure to pair one of their cookies with it. That combination is a game-​changer… I’m tellin you.
In short, I love this place. And you will too. Support your local family businesses and visit Ulia’s deli! You won’t be disappointed. :)

This review is not based on their food or their prices, it is based solely on how the owner (ulia) and her daughter (Andrea) treat their employees. I have witnessed these events myself in person on numerous occasions I’ve gone in.
Today I went in and saw Andrea yell and literally push one of her workers out of the way, I wasn’t the only one who saw this happen other customers who were there also saw this happen and were shocked to see this, it’s bad enough being one of the owners you’re acting like this, but is this really the image you want to set for yourself and your business?
I’ve seen things like this happen on more than one occasion, I’ve seen both ulia and Andrea yell very rudely at her kitchen staff, both the cook and the assistant in who work in the back as well. I’ve heard them slam doors in an angry manner and Ulia and Andrea both argue with each other while working, really? This is not the time nor place to have arguments, it’s your business, learn how to be professional.
Both these women need anger management, this is not how you treat people especially the people that ‘re helping you run your business, these owners are ridiculous! Andrea and Ulia you’ve set a great image for yourself and your business.
I’m no longer going for food here, yeah losing one person’s business doesn’t affect them much, but I hope others who see this review agree that this is not ok. Ridiculous attitude, rude to their employees, it’s too much.

My girlfriend and I decided to take a day trip to Petaluma to check out the Lagunitas brewery. Our tour wasn’t until 3:00 p.m. and we were starving. We decided we wanted to eat like Petalumans and dine at a hole in the wall.
Ulia’s really hit the spot, the other Unilocal reviews and pictures really helped. Upon walking in we were welcomed by a friendly staff and a well put together menu. Very appetizing.
Love how they had breakfast «real» breakfast. They have an actual kitchen and deli where they make their food fresh.
I was very satisfied with my Sausalito sub. Also they are vegetarian friendly! My girlfriend was very satisfied with their options. She chose the only vegan sandwich they had since she recently went vegan. Very happy!

Finally! A true Greek deli in Petaluma! When I left Chicagoland 11 years ago there was 3 things I missed and none were the weather. They were however, a «good» hot dog, Italian Beef and Gyros. Six years ago I took care of my longing for good hot dogs and Italian Beef by opening Roys Chicago Dogs. While I sold it to a customer to simplify my life but continue to have access to my favorite food, I was still missing Gyros and dolmas and true hummus… until yesterday.
While driving home from work yesterday, I spotted a sign that displayed a gyro. I slammed on my breaks and took a quick right onto Clegg Street. Right there, in the middle of a business park was my Eutopia. A Greek Deli serving everything I was still missing from Chicagoland. I pulled in and quickly ordered a Gyro. To my dismay, the lamb had already sold out (3:30 in the afternoon) so I got the beef. After the first bite I was in heaven. The taziki was thick and clearly homemade. All the correct fixings were in perfect accord. I was in Greek heaven for the first time in 11 years! So happy Ulia’s opened that I announced to the staff I no longer need the grocery store. I am a permanent fixture there now!
