Been here once, to buy work boots. The guy who helped me was great, found what I needed, it was even on sale, woohoo! I’ll buy my next pair here, for sure!

Worst place to get work boots. The quality is nonexistent. It would be one thing if i purchased a cheap pair of boots and the quality was not very good, but i spent over $ 200 on boots that only lasted me 3 months. I am hard on my boots, but all of my boots last around a year. The soles on these boots are some kind of foam that has just split apart everywhere. The stitching on the leather has also came out in multiple places. These are definitely some knock-​off boots that they are charging crazy prices for. There is no brand name anywhere on the boots, and on the sole where there would usually be a brand in the center, a piece has been cut out on both boots. I STRONGLY suggest you go somewhere else for work boots. For $ 200 I could have gone to many other boot stores and had better service, a warranty, and free maintenance on my boots. This place is terrible.

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Besides the fact that the products there don’t seem to be that great, I’ve never been talked down to like that in a store before. It would take too long to explain the entire experience, but I highly recommend skipping this place for any other place there is.

I went to Workforce in Petaluma and walked out with a pair of new hiking boots. The fact is that I“m glad I did. I waited about 4 months to post this review to see if I liked them or not. I wear them about 2 days a week. Sometimes casually and sometimes hiking pretty hard trails. My feet LOVE them. They’re super high quality, super light and super comfortable. The owner and the front desk manager were very kind and super helpful. I would totally recommend this place. I had a great experience and I’m thinking of going back to get my wife a pair!

These place is horrible they sell low quality boots at expensive price. They push you so much until you buy a pair. I rather go car shopping less pressure.

This place sucks if your looking for good work clothes or boots for construction. I went in there for boots that i used to get there but the guy told me that they weren’t good and tried to sell me these cheap knockoffs. I’ve heard similar stories from the guys I work with. Go anywhere else

Wow. Quite possibly the worst experience I have ever had in any kind of clothing or shoe store. The sales guy was like a used car salesman, right on top of me as I walked the door, and he reeked of smoke from the cigarette he was smoking by the front door when I entered.
He asked me what I was looking for, and I told him I am an EMT who was looking for a new pair of black Tactical style boots. He immediately launched into a whole tirade about how their polyurethane soled boots are far better than any of the EVA midsole boots that were on the market, even bashing the boots that I currently own, and am very happy with.
I picked up one of their boots to inspect it, and it felt very cheap, had all the mould markings on the bottom from where the soles had been removed from the mould, and all the leather just felt very plasticky. No Velcro cover on the zippers, and the zippers were not YKK’s, or anything of that caliber. They were not water resistant, they were not antimicrobial, and they were not blood-​borne pathogen resistant either. They were $ 40 more than a similar pair of boots that I own which are all of those things, and have a far superior build quality.
Open the boot up, and on the inside of the Tongue tag, it said «made in China.» I told the sales guy, and the owner of the store was standing nearby, that I preferred to buy products that are made in the USA, Canada, Australia, or other industrialized nations where people are paid real wages, and the quality of the products is reflected in that. The owner of the store chimed in to tell me how poor the working conditions are here in the US, and how much cleaner the Chinese factories are. At one point, the salesperson and the owner of the store were both talking to me simultaneously over one another. I actually threw my hands up and said «whoa, slow down guys. You’re coming at me rapid fire here.»
I told them that they did not have what I was looking for, because the boots they had did not meet my requirements, (when in reality, at this point I wasn’t going to buy anything from these two, regardless of what try had) Then the salesperson goes running into the back and grab a pair of boots and comes out with them show me. He comes out with a pair of desert sand colored boots. I told him right upfront I am in emergency medical services. All boots have to be black. He might as well have showed me fuzzy pink bunny slippers, which would have been equally as useful as the boots he produced.
Bottom line: the high pressure sales tactics here are ridiculous. They feel they have to give you a full, albeit fallacious, education about the superiority of their no-​name products that they carry. I have had more relaxed experiences on used car lots. Read all the reviews here, everyone says the same thing. Poor product, high pressure sales tactics, and bad service. It’s a wonder this place still has it’s doors open.

All I can say about this place is WOW… I had a need for some new work shoes and what a waste of time this place is… Instead of going into it just read ALL the other reviews and decide for yourselves. I’ll never go back into this place and pity those who do

This is an update to my previous review. To be fair, Chris’s comment about the guarantee at
was correct in stating their return policy. The policy does state that the shoes must be unworn, but they also have an unwritten rule of customer satisfaction and do many «one time courtesies» for their customers. I can say to you that Nordstrom or Costco does offer a 100% guarantee on their shoes whether they are worn or not. I will never shop at Workforce Boot & Clothing again. I would rather walk barefoot over a pile of broken glass.

The work force boots are crap and the owner is arrogant and does’nt honor his 100% replacement guarantee of failure in one year. I have had 3 pairs that have all fallen apart within a few months. I will never do business there again.

This place absolutely sucks. They used to carry multiple brands of boots made in the U.S.A., but now they only carry one brand and it’s some cheap ass looking, Chinese manufactured garbage brand called Work Zone and it is of even poorer quality than the cheap ass knock off brands they used to carry. Aside from their dismal selection of boots, their workwear selection is also worthless. I asked the guy working there if they carried any quality brands like Carhartt or Ben Davis and his response was «No, those brands are too trendy, we carry strictly Work Wear.» Upon hearing this I shook my head in disbelief and left. I can’t fathom why a company would discontinue the sale of an item due to it selling too often or being too much of what somebody is actually looking for… But that’s their deal. So now, whenever I need anything work related I have to drive all the way to Santa Rosa because Work Force ignorently imploded and has dug themself a shallow grave.

I should have followed my instincts and left the first time I thought to. I’ve been buying work boots there for 15 years but the store has taken a dramatic turn for the worse. They used to carry several well known fairly expensive brands such as Danner and Ariat of which I’ve owned and still wear. I wear a pair of good boots for several years. This time when I walked in the store, the only clothing I saw was scrubs, chef uniforms and some racks of sweatshirts. They used to carry all the big name work clothing like Carhartt. I walked into the boot department and realized there was only one brand of boots. An off brand called Work Zone. They looked like the same cheaper off brand they carried along with the more expensive boots only now these were more expensive. I asked if these were the only brand they carried anymore and the salesman said yes. I said thank you and started to leave when the manager stopped me to ask why I didn’t like the boots. I said I’d never heard of them and to be honest they look cheap. I’ve had good results with name brand boots and your prices look name brand to me. I was looking for Wellingtons and they had two styles, Black and Brown. The manager spent the next 15 – 20 minutes going into great detail about how much better made these Work Zone boots were and how poorly Ariat and Danner were made. He told me with WZ boots he had a 6% return rate and with the «Big» names he had a 20−70% return rate and that’s why they stopped selling them. I told him the Wellingtons wouldn’t work for me because the insole didn’t come out. My feet sweat a lot so I have to remove the insoles at night so they dry out. He said I just needed the right socks and was willing to give me a pair to try out. So I found a pair that fit and they felt pretty good so I bought them for $ 130. I put them on when I got home that evening and wore them a bit around the house and all was fine. The next day I wore them to work and thats when they went downhill. The longer I wore them that day the more they relaxed and by the end of the day they were about as comfortable as a pair of rubber boots.
I just tried to return them after less than a day and a half wearing them and he wouldn’t take them back because I wore them outside. He said I should’ve worn them around the house for a day or two if I had any question about them. I said the boots were very uncomfortable and there was no way I could wear them for any long period of time and that I’d like my money back, especially after he spent so much time convincing me how great they were. He just looked at me and said there was nothing he could do for me but give me some insoles.
I had returned boots there before and have bought many pairs there in the past and not their cheap ones. I will no longer shop there and I will attempt to contact the owner, as he is an old friend of a co-​worker.
Update; Talked to the owner on the phone and his manager claimed there was no high pressure sale and that I was rude. I only got rude because the manager was being arrogant and cocky while I was calmly explaining why they weren’t working for me. I will never be back and I will definitely share my experience with all my co-​workers.
