History

Established in 2002.

Pam and Eric Lorimer acquired the business in 2002. Prior owners Dan and Fran O’Rourke with her sister Jean and husband Jack Bullock operated the business since 1975 and are responsible for the name.

Business Owner

Pam and Eric have a passion for helping guests explore the cultural and recreational opportunities in Peterborough and throughout New Hampshire’s Monadnock Region. They both have leadership roles in the Monadnock Travel Council and are active in other community organizations. They enjoy hiking, kayaking, skiing, and snowshoeing as well as plays, concerts, and dining out. Ask Eric about fly-fishing local lakes and rivers or ask Pam about the Monadnock Sprint Triathlon!

This is a no frills place, but great just the same. Here for a wedding. Huge cluster with the room, which was booked through a 3^rd party vendor. Hotel staff was beyond helpful getting it all straightened out, and even told us to book the 2^nd night direct on line…20% off for AARP! 23 hour coffee/tea; complimentary razors, shaving cream, toothbrushes and paste… even combs are available on request. Microwave and fridge. Next door to strip mall with NH wine and liquor, several stores and a grocery. Welcome basket with bottled water and some snacks. Very nice. Would stay here again. Outstanding customer service!!! Took an hour to straighten out the room situation… they let us check in at noon!!!

I have stayed at many country inns, as i trave in the summers quite frequently to Vermont and New Hampshire. I tried this inn for the first time. Overall, from the food to the stay, it was outstanding. Staff was helpful, and the rooms were all first class. This is a first class inn, period, Nothing that I know of touches it in the area. They recently put in charging stations for
us EV car people. How wonderful. You can take your Tesla or plug in hybrid, and be sure to get a charge overnight. We will be returning when we are in the area again.

This is a solid place for business travelers in the Peterborough vicinity. The rooms are cozier, roomier, and more thoughtful than most comparable chain hotels in larger towns. The shower/water closet was very nice.
BONUS — a nice selection of cookies in the office in the evening.
BONUS — spacious rooms with plenty of choices for work space.
BONUS — access to a good, full-size gym, Performance Fitness, was included in the room rate. The gym is about 10 minutes away to the south.
TIP — there is no closet or enclosed vanity. This was obviously a budget hotel that was lovingly renovated. The open vanity and clothing rack were retained.
TIP — the breakfast at the office consists of cereals and baked goods that you can eat in comfortable chairs and watch TV. For some, it’ll be fine, but for others, you’ll want to plan on getting breakfast at one of the recommended places in the community, of which there are plenty close by.

Comfortable, spacious rooms with super friendly staff. All-day coffee and homemade snacks were lovely too. The shower was a special treat, although the rest of the furniture was a little dated. We would definitely stay again!

Really clean nice motel.
Free breakfast, which included cereal, yogurt, v8, breads and oatmeal. Coffee and juice too
Free wifi, cable TV and free guest passes to Performance Fitness which is a fully equipped gym about 6 miles away.
Would stay here again if in the area.
Only reason for not giving 5 stars, I thought $ 139 a night was a little steep, but not totally unreasonable

Great place to stay. They have outstanding lemon squares as snacks when you check in, and home made cookies. You get a free breakfast, coffee, juice etc … Clean spaceous rooms. Big showers. Quite stay. When I stayed there it snowed and the inn keeper came out and helped me clean off my car. Just an outstanding, friendly, quite place to stay.
The hospitality was outstanding and I will definitely stay again.
