This place is fantastic! Actually the first dental office where my child hasn’t been screaming.
I used to be a patient and I remember how friendly the staff used to be when I was younger, and it hasn’t changed.
Benet, Ty, front office staff and Dr Bain are absolutely wonderful! Friendly, patient, and kind. I will not bring my child anywhere else!

The staff at Dr Bain’s office is wonderful, from the moment you walk in the door until you check out. I would say first class treatment all around. However, Dr Bain is a different story. Like a previous poster said, it seems he’s always rushed and is not very friendly. So if you are expecting for your kid’s dentist to greet you with a smile; that ain’t happening. The three stars are for his staff that probably have to put up with him. There are plenty of other options in the Pflugerville area.

Its unfortunate, but after 2 years of going to Dr. Bain regularly and receiving great care, my son and I will no longer be seeking services at their office. This is due completely to his office staff and management who addressed me this morning with rude, condescending remarks when we were late for his appointment.
My son has had about half a dozen appointments with Dr. Bain and we never have had a problem. This morning much to my family’s dismay we did not awake on time. We forgot to turn on our alarms after turning them off on Good Friday. Sadly, this made us 30 minutes late to my son’s appointment.
When I arrived I apologized profusely and asked if they could squeeze him in. The receptionist seemed very annoyed. She informed me that I was 30 minutes late and their office policy only allowed for a 10 minute tardiness. She told me we needed to book another appointment for tomorrow. I apologized again and gave her the reason for our tardiness. I then explained I had already taken time off work and my son was taking time out of school right before STAAR testing and that I was just unable to come in tomorrow and asked if there was anything we could do to fit him in. She became rude and condescending. She reminded me, again, that I was the one who was late and that they didn’t just fit people in. She asked that I sit down and maybe they could get me in about 45 minutes «IF» someone didn’t show for their appointment. I was dismayed but had no other option.
After about 20 minutes of waiting the receptionist called my son’s name. Considering she called his name and not mine I figured they had spoken with Dr. Bain and found some room. They didn’t. She meet me at the desk and told me they could fit me in the afternoon. I explained that I appreciated her help but that my job is in downtown Austin. It just wasn’t realistic for me to leave and come back. She seemed to be even more upset with me and again reminded me that I was the one who was late and they didn’t fit people in. I asked again if there was anything that could be done to see my son in the next hour. She said she would send a note to the back to see if they could. I felt a bit relieved thinking they might actually be reaching out to the dentist himself.
About 5 minutes later the office manager came to the front and called my son’s name, not mine. I brought my son around thinking they the issue had been resolved and they could see him. With my son next to me the office manager continued the same embarrassing and condescending tone the receptionist had started.
She explained that I was the one who was late and this was my fault. I apologized. She then noted that the next group of appointments belonged to a single family «Who never cancels and is ALWAYS on time». At that point I was really starting to get upset. They obviously wanted me to feel worse than I already did for being late. She explained that their time was just as important as mine and they do not fit people in who are late. She continued to berate me in front of my son and staff about my tardiness over and over again with complete disregard to my excuse or apology.
Then she offered again to reschedule us for tomorrow or another day and made a point to say, «This time we can schedule you for a more appropriate time, not so early in the morning, since you have a hard time making it». I couldn’t believe it. I said «No» to her offer to rescheduled and said I would like to reconsider using Dr. Bain as our family dentist. She did not to have a problem with that at all.
Let me make this clear. Dr. Bain is a good dentist and his hygienists are some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable I have ever encountered. But the office staff was rude, degrading and condescending. They did not hesitate to lecture me in front of my son and at times I felt I was being punished for a simple mistake. I was so embarrassed by them I do not want to even walk into that office again. I will be finding a dentist who is much more apt in keeping patients than berating them.

This place was great, very friendly staff who you can tell care for kids. They took time to make sure both my young boys were comfortable and happy. Take away all the cool gadgets like TVs in the ceiling and video games in the lobby and this is still a great place. We will e back, that is for sure.

We love Dr. Bain and his staff. They are always so friendly and kind to my children and me. Dr. Bain has done a lot of work on my six year old daughter and we’ve had no problems. He is especially great at making the whole process seem pain free for your littles. We’ll continue to visit Dr. Bain and staff for regular cleanings!

I have brought my daughter here for 2 cleanings and a sedation appointment. I wasn’t too sure about coming to dr. Bain but because it was closer to home and in network for our insurance I decided to give it a try. The ladies have always been nice. Since the first time I met Dr. Bain I wasn’t too sure about him. I figured he was rushed. He definitely lacks personable skills. Today will be the last time we go here. I am returning to Dr. Watts, even if I have to pay more. It’s definitely worth it. At my sedation appointment today dr. Bain walks in barely looks at me and says hello. When he was done he tells his assistant something about continuing the appointment or not because the situation with my daughter was that he felt her too tense. I was in the room why not explain to me what’s going on. He may be good with older kids but from someone who started out with a dentist who has a warm and friendly personality its just hard for me to continue taking my daughter here. The office is nice but they should switch up the movies. Every visit I have been the same movies have been playing.

Top of the line equipment, superb facility, outstanding customer service — it doesn’t get any better!

1^st of all I have been going here for years never… and I have never had an issue with dr. Bain I may have seen him snap at his staff before, but I have also seen him compliment them more. anyway my kids are always well taken care of .I agree its not cheap but teeth for children are like roots for trees it needs to be taken care of and they taken care of they are here. will be going here till they are adults.

This place is run like a factory. Minimal time spent actually cleaning a child’s teeth. Dr. Bain is really fake. I have seen him go from happy/​smiling to raising his voice and berating an employee. The employees walk around with fake smiles and shrill voices bordering on hysteria. There seems to be high turn over for patients and employees alike. High emphasis on recruiting new patients. Bain is a pretty slick business man, I’ll give him that. The Wal-​mart of dentistry.

We have been coming here since March 2010, all the of my children love, LOVE coming to the dentist.
Best service, especially when I brought my baby, then toddler now three year old here. No cavities, great service, kids love coming. It is the best. Never had a bad experience.

Brought both my girls here today and had a fantastic visit! Very friendly staff! Great office, lots of fun, and very informative. Good experience! Not sure why he’d get negative reviews. Seems odd. Looks and feels good for us:)

First class operation all the way around. We took our 1 year old to Dr. Bain for her first visit and they were awesome. The office was very clean, welcoming and everyone made us feel welcome. Dr. Bain was highly recommend by several physicians and parents we know. Dr. Bain was very nice, and has very good bedside manner! And the best part of the visit was that our baby girl came out with a smile.

I found the facility and the staff to be lovely. I’m sorry for the others who had negative experiences, but for our needs I found our services to be stellar!

Horrible Dentist!
First, I will be honest and let you all know that my son went to him several years ago (before I knew about Unilocal) so my review is a little late. I’m writing it now because Dr. Bain’s name came up when I was having lunch with a friend. And, by the way, her experience with him was just as bad.
My son was about 3 years old at the time. I found the dentist to be gruff and rude. I remember at one point he angrily told my son to quit crying. He had been given numbing medicine which did absolutely nothing. Another visit, he kept us waiting for about an hour while he was on a personal call. (His staff had informed me of this.) That was it for me. I remember telling his office people when they called to make another appointment that we were never coming back.
I have since had two coworkers who have also had bad experiences with him. I personally don’t understand how he is even in business still. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I don’t know where these one and two-​star reviews are coming from! My kids have been patients of Dr. Bain since my daughter was two and my son was only a year old and only had two teeth (2003). He and his staff have never been anything but fun and professional with us. My kids consistently get a B or B– on their brushing scores and not once has he made me feel like a bad mom. Now that they’re 11 and 12 years old, he holds them accountable for their brushing habits. Just last week, we saw him for a semi-​emergency; my son took a header on to the corner of our coffee table and we were concerned that he had cracked a tooth. They took x-​rays and found nothing, then Dr. Bain spent about 10 minutes examining him before he determined that there was no damage. On a personal note, we’ve seen Dr. Bain out in Pflugerville several times and he knows my kids by name and he never hesitates to shake my hand. He does a LOT of community service around Pflugerville and in the schools. Again, we’ve never had one single problem with him or his staff, and we’ll continue to see him until the kids are too old for a pediatric dentist!

After experiencing the torture that is Anthony Bain, (supposedly specializes in children), I reached out to Dr. Danny Watts and his group. PLEASE see Dr. Watts for all pediatric dentist needs… he treats all three of my children and they are extremely organized and a strong team!
My daughter was not given the gift of healthy teeth from the very beginning, she was not fed soda or candy nor unhealthy food, however she had 2 baby teeth (molars) that needed to be pulled due to decay.
Dr. Bain’s work area consists of 8 dentist chairs all aimed across from each other… my daughter was 5 and scared to death and had several other children there for procedures/​cleanings who were completely freaked when they heard my daughter scream bloody murder from the «attempted» extractions. He wouldn’t give more numbing medicine, was frustrated because my daughter was screaming out in pain and upset that she was frightening the other patients that were there awaiting his torture. He finally said the only way he could remove them was if she had surgery under anesthesia… to remove BABY teeth.
We left and never went back.
Dr. Watts saw her the next day, extracted the two teeth, placed a spacer for her new teeth to grow into, explained everything he was doing in a way that a child could understand and all was complete within 30 minutes.

Actually this guy doesn’t deserve any stars. He should not be a pediatric dentist. He made my daughter cry and he forgot to finish up something at the end of the procedure. We had to come back inside when we were about to pay upfront. Very disappointed. Office was nice and close to our home but the dentist is a jerk. My husband was upset about us going here.

I’m disappointed with Dr. Bain’s professionalism. I had been to 2 different dentists. 1 out of town whom i couldn’t return to b/​c we moved and another locally that was wonderful & performed a cleaning and eval on further work though didn’t do sedation so we had to go to another since. We got quotes from each for their recommendations on needed work. Bain quoted nearly twice as much as the other 2 dentists & when I asked re the great difference, he immediately became defensive & followed to insult me in front of my child. So if you like overpaying for the same service, yeah, I guess he’s your guy. Me, I decided to go elsewhere.

My experience has been superb. The staff is always efficient, helpful, and very friendly. The atmosphere is of course kid friendly and the only hard part is dragging my son away from the fort blocks provided in the children’s play area.
A bonus is that they grade your child on brushing technique. This is proactive and important in prompting your child to take responsibility in their oral hygiene. I’d rather be called out than have cavities.

Perfect dentist for kids. The staff, environment, and setup make this really easy for my kids to love. Even more difficult procedures that cause pain are well handled.
The office is very well lit, with a lot of natural light, clean, and modern looking. Staff looks professional. Dentist is nice and warm personality.
During the procedures the kids get choices on flavors of toothpaste. After they get a toothbrush, flavored floss, and a token to get a toy from a few choices from little vending machines when you check out.
I have never had long waits and always plenty of parking.
CONS: Their magazine selection is heavily leaned toward women. I cannot find a magazine here that sparks any of my interests. In addition, the seats parents sit in while waiting during the procedure are very uncomfortable for me.
