Manager

Born David Matt in Richmond, California in 1954, Locksmith is a rapper and producer of Persian and African-​American descent who came to prominence in the early 2000s as a battle MC and as half of the Frontline. The rap duo formed in the late ‘90s when Locksmith and Left were junior-​high students, and began self-​releasing mixtapes in 2001. The Frontline took a more socially conscious stance than most of the rappers associated with the hyphy movement that was popular in the Bay Area at the time, choosing to promote positivity rather than glorifying drugs, alcohol, or violence. The duo released debut album Who R You on Infrared/​Landmark Entertainment in 2004, and the album was re-​released as Now U Know on Penalty Recordings the following year. Lock & Left followed on Infrared, and some of the album’s tracks received MTV airplay. Now we come and started the same biz in North Austin area bringing the experience and hard work with us, a good team was formed in Pflugerville.

1. Tech did not have hardware needed. We had to go out and buy it ourselves for him to install.
2. They did not give quote before job. I was told «it was policy to give quote before job so my husband was probably not paying attention.» Really?
3. Was completely shocked when they presented an invoice over $ 1000 for two homes that needed minor work. Some costs not even specified with a description.
4. Rude customer service over the phone when I compared them to the other locksmith we have used (who we were impressed with but was booked in the short time frame we needed). He put them down saying they used cheap hardware and then claimed not to have heard of them later in the conversation.
5. NEVER would I call on them again.

I decided to call Joshua after initially calling out to a designated AAA team that failed to open my car and made me wait an hour and a half to get serviced. Joshua gave me an upfront quote, and assured me that he had the experience to fix my problem (keys locked in trunk) in as quick as 20 mins. Gladly to say he was able to pull through, and I’m in my car! So thankful especially since I was dealing with a number of questionable locksmiths prior to talking with him. Great service, fast, knowledgable. His quote was fair and he had a great attitude. I highly recommend him and his company to anyone looking help, thank you!

I was really stressed out over how I couldn’t find my keys, but within 15min Joshua was at my door and within another 15min he gave me 3 news keys and a programmed remote so I could get back on the road. Highly recommended for anyone out there who’s misplaced their car keys.

Joshua was quick and responsive and a nice guy. He unlocked my house within 15 minutes after my airline lost my luggage. He also gave me recommendations on how to prevent thieves from breaking in. Was getting out of the HEB parking lot after grocery shopping when I perchanced passing by my 2nd mobile business today. This guy ia another locksmith. So… instead of hitting the highway, I literally made a turnaround meet him.
Joshua quoted me an unbeatable price to duplicate my car remote. I always want a 3rd one handy to place in my vehicle for urgencies especially when I leave my keys inside.
Joshua programmed an identical remote for me in less than 5 minutes.
Joshua’s van is amazingly set up and organized with all possuble keys and state-​of-​the-​art machinery and computers. He does vehicles, homes, and institutions.
Yet another kudos to passionate mobile working folks like me.

I had a house key stolen and contacted Joshua to get my house rekeyed. He came out and saw that most of the locks could be automatically rekeyed with a small tool, so he gave me one of them and showed me how to do it. He said he could rekey the other ones if I wanted but that it would save me money to get new locks that could be automatically rekeyed. He only charged me $ 15 for the visit and for some duplicates of the new key he made for me. In the end I was able to secure the house and give myself some time to get the new locks installed. I appreciated the advice he gave and his honestly.

My daughter realized her (only) car key was missing at 9:30 pm Sunday night. She needed her car to go to work in the morning. I texted the number for General Mobile Locksmith and they answered promptly. He was on another call, but texted me back when he was en route. Joshua arrived when he said he would, and was able to unlock the car and make us two keys at the price quoted. I would call him again for any locksmith needs.

After having an issue with a rude dispatcher, the owner contacted me and apologized and was polite and asked me to contact him again if I experienced poor customer service. I appreciate that and feel that perhaps the dispatcher was having a bad day and isn’t always unprofessional and abrasive. Thus, based on other reviews, I think this can be a good place to use if you have an issue with your keys or being locked out of your car!

Not only did this company come out with in an hour of calling, but my lock smith made sure I knew how to open my door before he charged me.
This company goes the extra mile by using your existing supplies and giving options on new locks with different prices. I needed two extra keys made and they did it right there on site.

Service was prompt and friendly– both on the phone and in person. He had some trouble getting my keyless entry remote programmed at first, but perseverance finally got everything to work. One Stop Shopping and Service with a Smile… is how I would describe my experience with Joshua’s from General Mobile Locksmith.
I needed a new key for our Dodge Truck, and two keys re-​programmed (one for our Lexus and Jag) as well as several house/​other keys. You can imagine my excitement in this task when my husband asked me to to take over our key issues. In my mind that meant at least 4 stops, one to each dealership and a key maker for general keys… and a ton of hours and $$$.
I called Joshua… because I always check Unilocal first and his reviews are fabulous. I must admit I was a bit skeptical since he would not even give me a ball park quote on the phone, however, when he came all fears were wiped away clean.
He showed up about an hour after i called (it wasn’t an emergency and I had said that was fine). He re-​programed my Lexus in about 15 minutes, made two dodge truck keys (gave us the option of the 10 year warrantied USA or other cheaper keys) and gave us a deal on two that worked perfectly, the house and other keys were taken care of. He spent considerable time working on the Jag but in the end he was concerned it would not reprogram successfully and leave with us without a working key. Again, he spent considerable time and didn’t charge us anything.
There was no «service» or «visit» fee, nothing extra for a mid-​day saturday call, and all the prices were very reasonable (less than a dealership for sure) and it took about an hour or so for everything. I HIGHLY recommend Joshua if you need to get into your car, house, or save yourself time and money when facing multiple key tasks!

I locked my keys in my car (with no spare) at 9:30pm and he was here by 9:55pm
His quote was crazy good! Like UNHEARD of good! Super nice guy too. If I am ever in a bind again, I am calling him. I also had him make me a spare key that would at least open the door if this ever happened again. Again, he gave me a great price on that too. Don’t waste your time calling a chain company.
