Joe, Ronnie and all the techs at 1st Rate Auto take outstanding care of their customers equally as well as they do the cars they service. Every time I take my Ford Escort for service, they treat me with dignity as well as all their other customers I see there. After clearly explaining my car’s problems in terms I can understand, they also let me know which service is more immediate to address.
This is one of the few places I have been where everyone is treated as having value. This makes me feel good.

I was having some tire issues and they were able to take me the day of without an appointment. They were super quick and checked in with me frequently. They were very transparent with what they were actually doing and what the prices would be. They were super friendly and taught me what to look out for because I know nothing about cars. I will definitely be back here again!
Just a heads up, the waiting room is outdoor so dress warm if it’s cold!

I had my vehicle serviced at 1st Rate Auto & Truck Repair and their name says it all! I called and spoke to Joe and told him I was very concerned about finding a service center that met my expectations for customer service and quality work. Joe was very patient with me. He took the time to listen to what I had to say first, then he offered me the information I was looking for about my car. He was kind, courteous, patient, and professional.
1st Rate offered everything I was looking for with very competitive pricing. The staff was kind and courteous and the garage was clean and neat. The service was performed in a timely manner and they left my car clean. They were very caring about my car.

These guys rock! I have a 2006 Dodge Sprinter and I knew my water pump had gone out. They told me to come down and they diagnosed it for free and had it fixed that day! This was crucial as I HAD to be on the road to get to Memphis by the next day! They saved the day and were very honest and helpful. Their waiting room is very comfortable as well with coffee snacks and Cable TV.

Not only does my car get a zen-​like experience every time at 1st Rate Auto, but I do too. No matter what service she, my car, gets, she comes out fully repaired and significantly better than when I took her in. It’s like they have magic hands even making better the repairs of the slack jaw mechanics of our past. Here, I don’t need to constantly get up and check on my car as in my past experiences. I can just sit and watch TV. Even the staff are all mild mannered and courteous. I have been coming here for only a few years but, everyone I talk with in the waiting room, always say the same thing. They have been with Joe and the guys for over 10 sometimes 20 years and would never go anywhere else. I so wish I’d known about this shop in the beginning of my journey. Well, I know now!

You don’t need to bring your vehicle anywhere else for service, bottom line. Joe and his crew will perform an honest, comprehensive and efficient assessment of your vehicle. They are up front with the costs, accurate with the time the work will take; plus they keep excellent records of the tasks performed. With or without an appointment all work that I’ve had done has been too notch and reasonably priced. These guys go above and behind to provide great customer device. In the 3 or 4 years I’ve been taking my car here, I’ve never had to take my car back with complaints on the workmanship. You don’t find service like this everywhere.

I took my car in because my car was making loud/​strange noises on the road. They were able to diagnose and fix my car the same day, without a prior appointment. The owner, Joe, was very nice and took the time to explain everything to me clearly. The price was also reasonable. My car is running great and I will definitely go back for any future repairs.

Highly recommended. Upfront and honest. told me all the charges in advance and kept me in the loop the whole time. plus you can drive your car here the night before and pick it up the next day.
They did my brakes and inspected my car for around 700 which was 200 less than the dealer was going to charge me.

Take your vehicle to 1ST RATE AUTO and TRUCK! This is the only mechanic I’ll take my car too from now on. The customer service was unreal, Ron was awesome, helping me with all my questions. With 25 years experience each, Joey and Ron know exactly what they’re talking about when it comes to cars and their confidence and explanations prove it. It doesn’t matter what kind of vehicle you drive, they’ll be the ones to diagnosis and fix your problems the first time. They honestly are 1st Rate!

These guys are great. They go the extra mile and utilize technology well. For example, you can sign up for email reminders about when to get an oil change, and they keep your car records in your own account online so that when you go to sell it or do taxes, you’ve got the history right there. but best of all, they drove my little old mom home when she was getting work done. how sweet :)

Joe split with his business partner who got the business name (Class Act — see my review) and old phone number. Re-​opened as 1st Rate Auto & Truck Repair Joe is still reliably fixing vehicles — even AAA vehicles so you know he must be good.
