Academia del Caffe

I really want to like this place as I work in the building. However, their coffee is very bitter and way too expensive. My last latte there was very bitter and featured rancid Soy Milk, which is pretty hard to do considering that it keeps for a very long time. I like their sandwiches but they are pretty expensive for what you get.

I am very sad to write this review. Academia used to be a fantastic coffee shop with awesome baristas. Possibly the BEST latte I have ever had.
Alas, too much staff turn-​over and poor training led to what is now a very, very sad latte and even sadder customers. The sandwiches never were quite right — odd ingredients for American pallets and not much help with custom orders.
But who cared? The coffee was the reason we came. And now? No more reasons. I hope they pull themselves together, but for now — blech.
