Never in my life, have I had a doctor treat me this way. I’ve been wearing contacts for the past 12 years and have 2 different eye doctors before Dr. Sando Jr, so color me surprised when he said that my contacts were too tight and I need to switch not only sizes but brands apparently. To shorten the story a bit, he sent me multiple trial pairs(the only redeemable quality about his professionalism) all uncomfortable and too big, until he finally decided to send me a pair kind of close to my old size and from my old brand. There were stints where he yelled at me on the phone and told me to get a new doctor(yeah right, I already paid you $ 150). Finally I ordered contacts from 1800 in the new prescription. The next day I had a call from Dr Sandos office asking how many boxes of contacts I wanted(I called back and said none, I am ordering them elsewhere). One week later I got another call saying my contacts had arrived and asking when I would be picking them up. Oh and I still don’t have a written copy of my prescription, I asked for it three times. Never arrived. Thanks.

I really like these eye doctors. Maybe it’s because Dr. Sando Jr. reminds me of David Hasselhoff.

The office itself isn’t like brand new modern. It’s definitely in an older building, and I joked with the doctor that I must be his youngest patient. But the staff is extremely nice and friendly and they go out of their way for you. I saw Dr. Roger Tsai who is also so very nice, professional and really great! I have bad astigmatism and it’s pretty much a doctor’s hell to try and fit me for contacts. But he was super patient, saw me a zillion times to make sure we got it right, and he does things right away and very quickly. And they were more accommodating than the Scheie Eye Institute at University of Pennsylvania(my usual doctor). When I told Penn I ripped my last pair of contacts in August and please could they see me soon because I had a wedding and a reunion to go to said«Ok, well we can get you on Oct 29.» … And then made me call everyday to see if there were any cancellations. Accuvision put me in in one week and then they took my name so that if there were cancellations they would provide CUSTOMERSERVICE and call me. How nice. My only problem is that they don’t have an eyeglass shop there. But that’s okay. I like my frames funky and there are only a handful of places that satisfy that! I wish I could review on the father and son team that own Accuvision– Drs Sando– but I didn’t see them. But I heard them with their patients and they were also super nice and apparently funny. A lot of laughter from the older clientele. That makes me happy.
