Business Owner

Sarah Lewis has had a passion for jewelry since she was a small child. Born and raised in upstate New York, her artistic journey began with glasswork. Sarah’s passion for working with metals and stones ignited while living in Arizona for a few years, before returning to the east coast to pursue her BFA in metals and jewelry from the Savannah College of Art and Design. In 2008 she began work as an accessories designer for other retail chains, before turning her focus to Adorn.

Now residing in Philadelphia, Sarah splits her time between designing and creating Adorn Jewelry, her website, Adorn​BySarahLewis​.com, and running Adorn Boutique & Showroom. It is here that she surrounds the jewelry collection with all the other things she loves: beautiful handicrafts from her fair trade partners, crystals & minerals, stylish clothing & accessories, and handpicked treasures brought back from her travels.

I spy with my little eye,… EVERYTHING MY HEART DESIRES!!! Holy smokes, this place has got EUUUUUURAAAAYTHING! I wish it was acceptable to camp out inside stores, because that’s what I wanted to do when I stepped through their magical doors. This is a MUST for me & anyone with any bit of sense that wants to walk out with something beautiful & unique that nobody else will rock. They know what they’re doing here, it’s extremely obvious. Can’t wait for my next Philly road trip to stock up on products!!!

Sarah is awesome. She really made my day with her accomodating customer service. Her store is welcoming, warm, and full of colorful accessories and beautiful jewelry. I highly recommend this gem of a boutique for unique crystal jewelry and india inspired clothing. I’ll definitely be back for the grateful dead jewelry ;-)

This is by far my favorite store in Philadelphia. Last Sunday I bought the crescent moons ring in sterling. I wish I could have purchased everything in the store. Sarah is so nice. I love her style and her designs. I can’t wait to go back.
This store is perfect if you love jewelry, need to buy a unique gift, have a free spirit, and appreciate small businesses. It makes me want to take up yoga so I can buy the yoga mat bag… I’m so in love with this store. I will be a forever customer and encourage everyone to shop here. The store just makes you feel happy by just being inside of it. The set up is truly unique and beautiful and everywhere you turn there are just more things that you will want to buy. Thanks sarah for opening your gem of a store, its truly a unique piece of art in itself.

Adorn has beautiful items. I am a big fan of her jewelry and clothing and very much like to support local artists and small businesses. I do always feel a little crappy after buying stuff here though. The owner is not very friendly and is never really grateful. My friend and I spend a lot of money here, and I guess I would expect that she would be a bit more thankful when we do. I guess my last visit was the most telling, so I may be shopping here less frequently for a while :(

Everything in this boutique screams good taste. It’s well crafted and fairly priced. I’m in love and want to buy something new everyday. The gals who work here are all very sweet, and helpful. It may be my new favorite boutique in the area!

Living in the neighborhood, I figured I would try some local stores. I went into Adorn and was greeted by Sarah who was really friendly. She offered customers wine and knew quite a few people who came in the store. It is a small store but filled with many gems! Sarah makes a lot of the jewelry and has a sharp taste for trendy, unique items with lots of flare.
I purchased two soaps that smell amazing. One looked like amethyst and one was teal and gray. I also got a flowy dress with teal fading to white at the top, and got a few compliments that day! I also got a necklace with charms which was fun to pick out. You can find anything from handmade cards, jewelry, clothing, and keepsakes.
The items were neatly wrapped in tissue paper and boxes for jewelry with nice stuffing to display the jewelry. I would recommend Adorn to anyone looking for a gift or a unique item made with care.

My wife bought 3 rings from Sarah and constantly gets compliments on them everywhere we go. Sarah makes truly one of a kind jewelry. On top of creating really beautiful jewelry, Sarah was literally the first person to welcome me to the neighborhood when my business opened. Super talented and equally nice person. This place is a hidden gem! Everyone needs to know about this boutique! Sarah is such a delight, always super sweet and kind and did I mention out-​of– this world talented! The jewelry you will find in this store is absolutely one of a kind, every time I wear her pieces I get countless compliments! It’s hard not to spend every penny I have when I go into this store. my husband has been speaking of keeping on an Adorn budget. (kidding.)
The décor, clothing, accessories, gems, and fun little items are all perfectly in tune with the bohemian vibe this store exudes.

i have been in the neighborhood for two years, and i can not belive i just found this gem of a store today ! beautiful beautiful gems and jewelry and clothing and decorative items !!! the owner has great inviting energy !!! i purchased two items today, a beautiful crystal and a piece of black tourmaline, i will be back again, i was already eyeing items for my christmas list, this place is full of tasteful gifts !!! you must check out adorn !!!

I was initially drawn to Adorn in my quest from clothing made of natural fibers such as bamboo or hemp. I found that they do carry the ‘Nomad’ brand of hemp blend clothing and I love it. I purchased a pair of black, bamboo fiber pants that have brass colored studs on them, kind of a toned down ‘Mad max’ look, which I love. I also purchased a hemp fiber halter top in a lovely burgundy, which is also made by Nomad. I would love to purchase more, but the store is filled with earth tones, which I do not wear. I would really love some more black, purple, fuschia, navy or cobalt blue bamboo fiber clothing. (I have enough burgundy)
The store also sells lots of unique, hand-​made jewelry, lots of gift type of things and a few candles. What I would also love for this shop to carry, would be beeswax candles and saponified soaps that are made locally.
All in all, very cute boutique, and if you love earth tones, this is your place. Head on over to Bottle Bar afterwards for some delicious food and drink.

A good friend since childhood told me about her older sister’s store when I moved to the area in 2011, and I’d been meaning to stop by ever since. Finally did today — wow! Gorgeous, one-​of-​a-​kind jewelry. I indulged in one of her rings, but could easily have bought a lot more, had my bank account allowed.
Sarah is awesome too, I can tell she’s a really good business owner, and super nice, honest, and down to earth. I will definitely be coming back to shop for gifts, and have told all my local friends about this gem. Great place Sarah!

This place is amazing! I was walking down Frankford Ave and before I knew it this gorgeous glowing shop sucked me right in. The décor and ambiance is so pleasing, you just never want to leave (Sarah the owner is equally delightful)! It doesn’t help that every item in the store is unique and gorgeous. Sarah’s specialty is jewelry-​making, with heavy bohemian and eastern influences. She uses and sells a lot of crystals and gems, which I love. There are also candles, home goodies, and women’s clothing — many of it sourced from Tibet, Ecuador, and independent designers and artisans. Really a one-​of-​a-​kind shop with true authenticity you’ll be hard-​pressed to find anywhere in US cities. Sarah delivers impeccable craftsmanship and quality throughout all her items. I tell all my friends that they HAVE to come to this store when they are in Philly.

Adorn Boutique is awesome! The store owner, Sarah is great and I love her jewelry designs! So far I have 2 rings (the feather ring, and a ram ring) and my next purchase will be a turquoise necklace. Both I and my illustrious fiancé were in the market for simple, well-​made wedding bands but kept either getting sidetracked by diamonds (me) or meteorite (him). Finally when we came to our senses, we both decided on classic bands and my fiancé found Sarah online and enlisted her to make his. He opted for a hammered finish in white gold and it came out so well I abandoned my fruitless Etsy search to have Sarah make mine too. Both came out beautifully and were more reasonable than anything you could find on Jeweler’s Row or online.
Her shop is only open 3 days a week, so appointment scheduling was occasionally difficult, but not so much so as to deter our purchases. Excellent service, excellent craftmanship and yay I have a wedding ring!

Adorn is a really great place to shop for a gift, or spend almost $ 100 on yourself during a first friday when you didn’t think you were going to spend any money at all. Oops. I stumbled upon the little Frankford Ave. shop while exploring the galleries and heading to Barcade. Two of my other girlfriends joined me and we single handedly helped boost the economy with our spending. I purchased a very affordable pair of Big Buddha (vegan leather yo!) boots and a lovely pair of feather earrings, a friend got a gorgeous statement necklace and another a «charm» necklace wherein you purchase the chain and then any additional charms you’d like on it. One of her choices was a switchblade, awesome! They’re not open everyday… I think something like Thursday through Sunday, so call or check the hours before you go. Adorn is a great addition to Frankford Ave.

Sarah, owner of Adron, is a friend but that has nothing to do with me giving her 5 starts. She made me my most treasured piece of jewelry, and it was a complete surprise. My boyfriend and Sarah worked to design a Christmas gift for me a few years ago, and it now proudly sits on my wrist everyday. She really was able to create exactly what I wanted, even though I had no idea it was what I wanted (or was getting).
I have also purchased a few gifts and other jewelry from the store, and have been quite pleased with the quality.
Sarah is a great resource if you are looking for something custom or just want to pick up a few gifts (even some for yourself). Her First Friday events are always fun as well.

If you have even the slightest interest in unique jewelry, I vehemently urge you to stop in to see the pieces at Adorn. These things made me feel bland and mediocre and in definite need of a coolness-​improving new necklace or ring. Plus, the shop itself is teeny-​tiny, but perfectly laid out and styled. AND the owners/​shopkeeps were cutie pies. If I were less insecure, I would probably go in every day and just stare at things… but people start to wonder and then I start to worry and fidget… you know the drill.
