Alper Automotive opened its doors in Northeast Philadelphia on October 13, 2000 to offer professional, high-​quality automotive repair to all of our customers at a reasonable rate. All of the technicians at Alper Automotive, including Steve Alper, the owner, are all ASE certified and also maintain training on the latest domestic and foreign vehicles.

Fast, courteous, honest, and excellent repair service. Had a coolant problem and was sure it would cost me at least $ 125 – 140 to fix, Not only did Alper explain the problem to me but repaired it for $ 17.00 dollars. I couldn’t believe their integrity, They could have charged me to flush the entire coolant system but they didn’t. I’d highly recommend this shop.

I want to start this off, saying that this is my first review, ever! I signed in to Unilocal,just because I was so taken by surprise by the letter I received in the mail today.
I had a great experience here! Now, grant it, I just came for an oil change, but it was a swift and pleasant oil change.
The waiting room environment was pleasant, clean, and smelled like Christmas cookies
The customer service was wonderful! Now, I’m only giving them 4 stars because I haven’t experienced their other services, but I look forward to it!
Oh, and they sent me a nice hand written note thanking me for my patronage, with a coupon and business card.
Great customer service goes a long way!

I will never go to another mechanic again. These people are the sweetest, super reliable, and super quick!
I needed all new breaks, rotors, a tie rod and possibly a new muffler. They decided that I didn’t need to replace the whole muffler, only a connector piece, and it saved me about 400 $. They recommended that I do my inspection as well, and BAM, my car was all fixed up WITH the inspection all for way less than what I would have paid anywhere else. They also put my insurance and registration papers in a cute little plastic sleeve. So cute! Love them. Never going anywhere else.

I have been a customer of Alper Automotive since they opened in October of 2000. I have two (2) cars that are regularly maintained at Alper Automotive and I would not go anywhere else. Steve explains every little detail of what my car needs and he only fixes what actually needs fixing. I trust Steve and his mechanics.

I needed to find an automotive shop to get an inspection, oil change, and check engine light diagnosed. A co-​worker recommended me to Alper to me after he had a good experience. I made a call and set up an appointment right away. The service was great and the repair work I needed for inspection was done quickly and at great price. At check out they explained everything with detail and they even offer a nationwide warranty with their work. This was also the only place I have received a written quote and scope of work via email before the repairs were made. The mechanics really take pride in their work and I am definitely going back.

I made my first visit to Alper after buying a Groupon for an oil change. It was easy to set up my appointment, and when I arrived, everyone in the office was very friendly. The waiting room is very nice, especially compared to the average auto shop waiting area. I didn’t spend a lot of time in the waiting room, however, because the service was super-​fast!
