I can’t say enough good things about our experience at Andrew T. Rakowski Funeral Home. My father passed away unexpectedly 2 weeks ago, leaving us at a loss for how to plan his funeral arrangements. We chose Rakowski’s because of the close ties to the community, and from the minute we walked in Andrew was professional and comforting.
He led us through the decision-​making process without any pressure and he made helpful suggestions when we didn’t know what to do. His funeral home is lovely; a mixture of classic warmth and modern conveniences. Several of our guests commented that there were thoughtful touches that you wouldn’t think of until you needed them. For example, there is a coffee bar area in the back, there is a comfortable chair tucked away if you need a moment alone, and there is a bluetooth speaker for playing your own music choices.
Andrew stayed in close contact for when we had questions, and he competently handled every detail, even guiding our 25 car procession to through a huge traffic jam on I-​95 to get us to the cemetery in Newtown on time.
We are so grateful to Andrew for making such a difficult and emotional time go as smoothly as possible. My dad would definitely have been impressed.
