So perhaps my original review wasn’t fair since I rated a pizza joint based on their cheesestseaks. I was back in the area visiting family the other night and we ordered a couple pies. When you order extra cheese they don’t mess around — no skimping on cheese here — just ooey gooey deliciousness. Really great with tomato slices on top. The crust was nothing to write home about but I’m not much of a crust eater anyway. I will happily order from here again the next time I’m in the Northeast.

The service was so terrible that I downloaded the Unilocal app to make sure everyone knows before they waste their time and money. I called to place a delivery order. The woman hardly understood me. I requested a menu item that she had no idea what it was. Fast forward an HOURAND A HALF, I call back and kindly ask the status of my order, only to be treated as though I was inconsiderate for asking. They told me my food was ready and to «just wait it will be there.» Fast forward ANOTHERHOUR, and my food shows up. The driver said because of construction it took longer. The construction is NOT on the route to my house. My pizza was burnt, as I assume it was sitting under a heating lamp for the majority of the 2 hours. And my sandwich was wrong and slopped together. I would have been satisfied if the woman on the phone mentioned they were short staffed, or behind because of the construction. When I called back if they had addressed me nicely, I also wouldn’t have cared. I should have canceled my order but honestly I was curious just how long it was going to take. I live«5 minutes» driving according to Unilocal by the way…

We ordered two cheesesteaks, one order of fries and a two liter and it came to 31 bucks. The steaks wound up being 12 bucks a piece. That’s just crazy. It was a good steak but not 12 dollars good.

I really wish I would have read reviews of this place BEFORE ordering from here. The menu I have says Gaetano’s. That’s #1 with the confusion. So around my house, we eat white pizza with spinach and bacon.(Sounds weird, but seriously try it. You won’t be sorry.) My 10 year old and I decided on a medium white, and mega fries. We waited close to an hour for it to arrive, which was to be expected since it was snowing/sleeting outside. $ 25 later, the food gets here COLD. Not warm, not room temp, but COLD. I take a peek at the pizza, and it was cold and hard, like overcooked and then left to sit out. Barely any spinach and extremely bland. I know the ladies will understand that when you have a craving for something specific and you get it and it’s terrible, that’s probably the worst thing that could ever happen to you. Mega fries were«meh». I’ve had better, but I’ve had worse. This was probably one of the most disappointing meals of my life, and I’m so pissed I wasted $ 25 and 1 of my cheat days on this crap. And to top it off, I still had to end up cooking to feed my kid. Do yourself a favor and lose their menu.

So I’m not generally one to write reviews but I thought this one really deserved it. My family started ordering from here a few months ago and as far as quantity and quality goes I would give this place five stars. They always give you more than enough food and the prices are definitely fair. Everything has always been fresh and yummy. My only complaint is with the people who work here. The last three times we have ordered our order has taken 45+ minutes and has come VERY incorrect. Twice I actually thought they brought me someone else’s order. Usually I’m not one to get mad and complain but after the third consecutive time I called in a not so pleasant mood and let who, little did I know was the owner, have a piece of my mind… Here’s what got me… And kept my family regular customers… He sincerely apologized with ZERO attitude, came out to my house him self to refund my order and gave us a credit on our account for our next order. I’ve been in the food business myself so I totally understand mistakes are made, but when you have a great owner running the place it makes for a great business regardless :)

Disappointing. We ordered a Cheeseburger Deluxe and Chicken Finger special on a Sunday afternoon for delivery(we live a little under a mile from them). Was told 30 – 45 minutes(Eagles game going on so we anticipated a longer wait). After an hour wait the food is finally delivered and upon checking it we noticed all of the sides were missing(two orders of fries and coleslaw). We immediately call them back and explained what happened. Though polite they weren’t apologetic. Said they would get us the sides within a half hour. After another 65 minute wait the sides finally get delivered without apology(note we live less than a mile away). Fries were stale, Cole slaw was leaking, and the burger was nothing special. Their lack of effort to make things right means we won’t order from them again.

This review is for Gaetano’s Steaks, which is a part of Apollo Pizza, but is kind of separate in name. This is basically a take out/delivery kind of spot so don’t come here looking to dine in unless you’re in a hurry. There are a few tables to get a quick bite. I’ve had the cheesesteak before a while ago so I wanted another try. The first thing you notice about the steak is its size. Think Man v. Food size. They have a couple different sizes 8 and 12 inches. Your first instinct would be to get the 12 inch since that’s a typical sized roll, but trust me, the 8 inch is fine. It’s a wide roll that fits a huge amount of steak. As for the roll itself, it’s a seeded one that is on the softer side that was a little too soft for me. The good part is it didn’t break apart, but it barely passed that test. I can go either way with seeded rolls so it’s not a make or break for me if it is or is not seeded. The steak itself was finely chopped and other than the massive amount of it, wasn’t anything special. As for the cheese, because there was so much steak, it threw off the steak to cheese ratio making me yearn for more cheese. All in all, it’s a very average steak.

Is now Gaetano’s(?) Buffalo chicken cheesesteak had diced, not chipped/shaved chicken, had blue cheese dressing instead of actual blue cheese, as menu states.(Let us not even pretend it’d be «bleu».) The roll was too soft, and although it had sesame seeds and tasted OK, it couldn’t be picked up at all. The sausage stromboli had no peppers or onions, even though they were listed on the menu AND I was also asked over the phone(?!) The large was a medium. The rage was palpable. The mozzarella triangles are nothing special and the tomato sauce/marinara was a bit sweet — same on the stromboli. It’s the Northeast, and most of the above is standard, so this is just another disappointment and a reason to go to CC Philly, Bucks Co., or even eat in instead.

I recently went by Gaetano’s and saw the«Under New Management» sign, so we decided to try it. We got cheesesteaks delivered. The sesame bread, while tasty, was soggy, and cut through so far that it broke open at the bottom as soon as I picked it up. The steak was overcooked and dry, and the mushrooms were from a can, not fresh. The only redeeming factor was how overstuffed they were, and unfortunately, that’s just not enough for us to order from them again.

Trust, this is the WORST pizza I have ever eaten in my life. Do yourself a favor and go to the supermarket and get a frozen one, it will taste better. Menu advertises fresh dough but what’s delivered is a stiff, cardboard-like, pie covered in sweet sauce and greasy, cheap cheese. Really, eat your dollars, you’ll enjoy them more.

Just ordered from here on Sunday. I am not kidding when I say I have never had worse food from a pizza place in my 47 years in Philadelphia. There is no way the cook could possibly eat this crap and think it’s ok. They have apparently merged with Gaetanos. The cheesesteak had enough meat for 3 sandwiches piled on top of a flat greasy soaked roll. It was more like a meat pie. You could not possible pick this up and even try to eat it. I tasted the meat and it reminded me of ground dog food. I threw it out and moved on to the pizza. It was way overcooked and the sauce tasted like it had maple syrup in it. My wife, daughter and I agreed it was the worst pizza ever. AVOID at all costs!!!

I used to love this place. Their buffalo chicken wrap used to be the best anywhere, but when it’s cold and the chicken gets soggy, eww. The delivery always seems to be late, and they’re way over priced for my liking. Step your game up guys.

Pepparoni pizza had a very nice taste with a thin crust. Ordered a fish platter also for my grandson-it came with very tasty french fries. We will be ordering again from them.
