Asthma Allergy & Pulmonary Associates PC

I’ve had nothing but the worst experience with this office. I’ve had appointments (which take months to make) where Dr. Cohn doesn’t even show despite hours of waiting in different rooms and seeing nurse after nurse.
I was discussing getting allergy shots in college and was initially very excited when the front desk and nurses checked my insurance to tell me that I wouldn’t have a copay — just the initial specialists fee of mixing the shots. As a college student, this made it easy for me to come in twice a week for the initial shots to build up a tolerance. But, after the first several weeks, the front desk told me that SURPRISE! I have to pay a specialists copay for every time I went in and was handed a bill for several hundred dollars. As a college student, this was pretty devastating. I (barely) paid the bill and stopped going for allergy shots.
I continued to go to this office for my asthma, but began to grow tired of being put on every new drug offered. I’ve dealt with asthma my entire life — I know how to deal whether it be obsessively cleaning, buying HEPA air filters, dust mite bed covers, the whole nine yards. Even when I would explain that I really just need an emergency inhaler for the few times where my asthma crops up, Dr. Cohn wouldn’t listen and I’d be put on something else — most of the time he wouldn’t even remember everything he’d prescribed me in the past! Singulair, Advair, Pulmicort, Asmanex, Flovent, the list goes on.
It got to the point where I was sitting in the office, waiting for another hour and a half before I could even see the doctor where I realized that I had been prescribed literally every inhaler on the stupid poster on the back of the door and they hadn’t made any difference.
I’m glad to say that my primary doctor is now able to refill my emergency inhaler so I never have to go back to that office again.

Dr. Cohn is rude. Staff is inappropriate. Would definitely not recommend.
