Bachelor Boys Band

My husband and I were absolutely blown away by The Bachelor Boys Band. We both really wanted a high-​energy band that would keep guests on the dance floor all night long — and they did just that. Our guests are still talking about them!
When my husband and I first started the wedding planning process, we were a little behind, and decided to book The Bachelor Boys Band on a whim prior to seeing them play. They had impressive reviews online and had a versatile song list, so we just hoped for the best. This proved to be the best decision we made throughout the wedding process.
Leading up to the big day, The Bachelor Boys Band was very responsive and accommodating. At the last minute, we decided that we wanted to have them play music during our ceremony and cocktail hour as well, and they were more than willing to accommodate our request. In addition, they are very knowledgeable and helped us make decisions based on our vision for the big day.
On the actual wedding day, the band exceeded all expectations. From the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception, the band turned our vision into a reality. They tailored their set list to our personal tastes and preferences, and played some of our favorite songs which weren’t considered typical wedding songs, including Mr. Brightside, Scotty Doesn’t Know, and My Own Worst Enemy.
All in all, my husband and I had the best night of our lives thanks in big part to The Bachelor Boys Band! We highly recommend them!

Far and away the best decision we made for our wedding was hiring the Bachelor Boys Band! For weeks after the even we were hearing from guests about how amazing the band was! Apart from being phenomenal musicians (Katie was just an unbelievable singer) they were so good at reading the crowd and playing just what people wanted. They got everyone dancing and kept them on the dance floor until the end of the night!
Even moving past their amazing performance, logistics were great as well. They have a website with an info page specifically for your event where everything you need to think about for the band (and your general event timeline) is easy to fill out and update. They started it with a «default» schedule based on our event. and we honestly didn’t change it much! It was so helpful to have it there for reference and structure the event.
What else can I say about how great they were? They learned all of the songs we wanted, including a cool cello/​piano rendition of a song for our ceremony based on a youtube video we sent them. They backed up my wife and her sister when they each sang songs during the reception. They played awesome jazz during cocktail hour. And they did a great job MC’ing the night.
We will remember how amazing this band was at our reception for the rest of our lives!

The search for the best band for our mountain wedding in Lexington, VA was complete when we found the Bachelor Boys Band. 1) Their website is phenomenal. You can listen to different clips to get a feel for all of the styles they can create for you and they go through the process of booking a band and the expectations (price, needs of a band, etc) step-​by-​step right there on-​line. 2) You build your own band! You want a 10-​piece brass band, you got it. You want a three-​piece acoustic set for the ceremony, done. We wanted a folksy-​bluegrassy band that was also contemporary for our wedding reception and BBB delivered and then some. 3) The booking process is super easy and actually fun. We worked with Adam and he was incredibly responsive, but not overly pushy. He let us get creative with ideas and came back with excellent suggestions to make things even better. 4) They learned our first dance song and played it perfectly! That was huge and special and I will never forget that for as long as I live. 5) If you want a specific recording of a song, they can do that too via their DJing equipment. 6) They let my father-​in-​law and uncle play with them for a song that they wrote for my husband and me. That was so memorable and awesome of them to entrust their instruments to strangers. Side note: we did clear this with them beforehand. 7) They are freaking amazing musicians!!! Whoever you get, they will do an excellent job. We had a five-​piece band (guitar and vocals, keys, fiddle, drums, and bass with a last minute add on of a mandolin player (who is extra great!)) and they knew exactly how to play for the room to keep the party going right up to the end of the reception. They were having fun, we were having fun, they jammed, we jigged, it was phenomenal. I cannot recommend the Bachelor Boys Band enough.

DO HIRE THEM!!! The Bachelor Boy Band definitely hit it on all notes. They were engaging and sounded fantastic. Mike, the guitarist was a hit. Amber the lead singer has an amazing voice and she kept the night flowing along. Everyone kept asking, «who is this band and where did you find them!» It was nothing but positive feedback from all.

We went to see the Bachelor Boys at a showcase and were very impressed. They seemed fun, relaxed, and played a great mix of modern music. Before the wedding, they had us fill out this extensive form before the wedding detailing what specific songs we wanted, order of toasts/​events, etc. We spent a long time filling it out to ensure everything would be just right. Our planner confirmed everything with Tim, and we spoke to him a week before the event. On the phone he seemed distracted and kind of out of it, but we attributed it to him being very busy. On the day of the event, the band arrived, and clearly had not listened to us AT ALL. We requested a single guitar player play down at the dock for cocktail hour and he play Dave Matthews-​type song. When I arrived at cocktail hour, there were 3 musicians playing jazz and neil diamond. Definitely not what we asked for. We requested that again, chill Dave Matthews type music be played as people took their seats. Instead, recorded jazz was played. I had to take time out from talking to guests and have my planner fix the situation. The entrances and first dance song went fine, but we had VERY specifically requested that after the first dance, we go right into a song where all the other couples were invited into the dance floor. After our dance was over, the emcee grabbed the mic and said «let’s get ready for some toasts!» I was shocked and we just stood there awkwardly. I quietly asked her if they were going to play the song we wanted, and she ignored me and began calling our confused best man up to give a toast. I had no choice but to sit down and I was embarrassed. For the actual music during the reception, we requested top 40 type music. The band played 80s music only. I had to have my planner fix this too. The band is talented but very unprofessional and clearly does not listen AT ALL to the bride/​groom– they went on «wedding autopilot mode» and did not care about what we wanted. DO NOT HIRE.

The Bachelor Boys Band was definitely the ‘hit’ of our reception. I worked with Amber leading up to the big day and she was very professional and a pleasure to work with. Ira and Katie were our lead singers and Ira was our MC as well. He did an amazing job. In addition to the 8 piece reception band, they provided musicians for the ceremony and the cocktail hour. I highly recommend their services!

My husband and I both love music, so a band was a must for our wedding, and the Bachelor Boys Band was absolutely perfect! Everyone at the wedding couldn’t stop talking about how awesome they thought the band was. Adam was our main contact and he was extremely helpful and responsive through the whole process. Matt and Najwa were amazing singers, and the whole band did a wonderful job playing exactly what we wanted to hear! They got everyone (young and old) up and dancing and the whole place was rocking to the end of the night. We also had Matt do our MCing, and it was well worth the extra fee, as he kept everything on schedule so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We couldn’t have asked for a better soundtrack for our wedding day!
