Blueprint LSAT Preparation

I found Blueprint incredibly, incredibly helpful. The instructor was wonderful, very knowledgable and friendly, the course materials were perfect, and the online access and videos were great. I have absolutely no complaints, nor can I think of anything that could have made it a better experience.
I went up by 14 points from my first cold take to one of my final takes with Blueprint, and they have plenty of data on their website (worth checking out if you have doubts) regarding average score increases.
If you’re shopping for a prep course, don’t bother looking further.

I took Blueprint’s online course (although geographically I’m closest to Philly), and my score improved 12 points — from low 60s to in the 70s. The classes are probably as enjoyable as studying obscure reading comp passages and logic games could be — they’re straightforward, the homework helps you progress and focus on problem areas once you identify them, and don’t worry about the online-​only format being inaccessible — help was always available when I needed it. I absolutely credit Blueprint with my current progress in law school applications.

If you’re serious about doing well on the LSAT, you have to take a prep course. The problem is: how the heck are you supposed to know what you’re looking for?
So, listen. Courses are expensive, you couldn’t possibly know how to choose one, and you’re beginning to see how much of a time-​suck this is really going to be. I got really lucky because I just happened to pick Blueprint, and I’d like to outline what makes this program special — because I’m not even kidding — I raised my score 14 points.
Don’t get me wrong, I studied like mad, and you best believe that I took advantage of every single resource Blueprint had to offer. There’s so many — you really get what you pay for.
Some prep companies will train any old so-​and-​so to teach their course. Trust me – I see the listings on Craigslist. At Blueprint, the instructors have all scored above a 170 on the LSAT, which means that they 1. are super smart, 2. are super knowledgeable about the test, and 3. personally know the agony you’re going through.
My instructor was awesome. He was a 3d year law student and a very funny and down-​to-​earth guy. When I emailed him with questions, he replied quickly with detailed responses. He took time in class until everyone felt like they understood. Class was of course informative and boring, but it was also goofy and easy-​going.
Yeah, there’s hours of homework for each class. Hey man, no pain, no gain. And yup — get on that website, there’s extra practice problems to print out.
Blueprint offers proctored practice exams almost every weekend of the course. Dragging myself to those was the most beneficial thing I did, because I became familiar with the testing conditions.
Then, if you’re feeling particularly masochistic, there’s plenty of extra exams on the website.
For every test question, there’s a video, audio file, or PDF with an explanation — you have access to those at any time. I learned a lot from studying the questions I got wrong or guessed on.
However, you can upgrade your account to get access to hundreds of video lessons. The videos are funny, easy-​to-​follow, and succinct. I referred to them when I zoned out in class and missed something (it happens), to practice the specific LR types I struggled with, and just to hear the lessons again in a different way.
There’s a lot more to the website — if you use it regularly to score your practice exams and homework, it’ll spit out all kind of statistics about your problem question types, and there’s a whole «score compass» thing that gives you an idea of what chances you have at different law schools.
The support team at Blueprint is a neat bunch of people. I communicated with my class manager throughout the course, and she had a lot of helpful advice. I always felt like there was somebody in my corner.
There’s just some intangible things that helped, too. This sounds stupid — but the instructor always let us know that he cared about how we did, and ya know, I thought about that when I didn’t want to do my homework. He was the first person I emailed when I got my score. I made friends in class, and we’d text each other encouraging things when we were riding the struggle bus. We’d meet up for coffee before a practice exam, and we’d kick each other’s butts if somebody skipped class. That really helped me get through.
So, TL;DR: Blueprint is an amazing resource and I’d definitely recommend it.

I was a student of Blue Print LSAT prep in-​class course for the October 2012 LSAT. It was my first exposure to LSAT prep and was exactly what I was looking for. There was personal attention, which is a huge must for my learning style, and a lively classroom atmosphere. My score raised a total of 8 points after the class. (I took the LSAT twice after the class, the first time my score rose six points, then the second time, two points above that totaling an 8 point increase post-​Blue Print prep).
I highly recommend this course to anyone who is looking for an interactive way to prepare for the LSAT without the dry and boring same old lecture. Now, I am deposited to my first choice law school which I would not have had a chance of getting into if my score had not improved with the help of Blue Print.

I had a great instructor, big ups on my LSAT score, and excellent admissions consulting which helped me into my top choice law school.
I chose Blueprint to study for my second LSAT for a few reasons. I liked that they are a young upstart – I thought that they would take the time to personalize the class experience as much as possible, to compete with the rest of the test prep market. And that was true… I didn’t feel like a customer, but instead like a student.
The course was unique, positive, sometimes real fun. The LSAT can be so very dry and Blueprint has a great approach. Instead of logic game after logic game, I loved the times when we’d write our own. Like, when six of our classmates – L, D, S, P, T, and B – participated in the Beerlympics. L & D don’t play flip cup together, there’s three people playing quarters, I play wifflebeer (always, as in real life), etc. Those kinds of activities brought the LSAT down to earth. The course gets more difficult as it progresses, but maintains the humor.
I know that their website has a bunch of interesting features but to be honest I rarely used it, other than for scoring my test and looking at question statistics. And studying the sucker answers (effffff those).
I did not quite reach my target score, but that is nobody’s fault but MY OWN. Blueprint gives you a ton of homework, and I completed only some assignments. I do feel that I successfully learned to read and understand the LSAT for the scheming whore that it is. But, to get the advertised «+11» you apparently must not overlook the homework.
I stuck with my Blueprint instructor for help with my applications. He took the time to get to know me and my interests in more detail and helped me to cultivate great ideas for my essays. He was constantly available even for minor questions. I did supplement his counsel with my college prelaw advisor’s, and I was glad to have multiple perspectives – on my resume, in particular. In the end, I had killer essays that I was happy to submit.
In the real end, I was admitted to my #1 choice with a fat scholarship.
Overall I had a great experience and would highly recommend Blueprint to anyone who’s serious about the LSAT and law school.
