Bonded BoutiqueCleaner has been faithfully serving the University City for 82 years and counting. Known for its expert tailoring and alteration, Bonded was one of the first to service its clients with what we now call, the «orginal hem,» a special way to hem jeans to make them appear as though they were never altered!

Amazing service, their 1 day turn around was great. Had a blazer, shirt and pant dry cleaned which turned out perfect for the occasion. Real quality and fast turn over and would totally recommend if you are down in Philadelphia area.

I can’t review this place as thoroughly or warmly as I could have if they had actually been open during business hours. The Unilocal listing says they open at 8am. The sign on their door says they open at 8am. Well I showed up at 8:30 on my way to work, to drop off some dry cleaning. This place seems to be the only dry cleaner in West Philly/​University City that can do same day turnaround. At 8:30 the lights were on but no one seemed to be inside, and the doors were locked. So I guess I’ll just have to take my cleaning somewhere in center city on my lunch break, and buy a cheap outfit somewhere after work to wear tomorrow. Thanks Bonded, for making me spend money on center city cleaners and cheap backup clothes because you can’t show up to work on time. I’ll be sure to never bother stopping by your shop again.

I have been here twice to get stains removed. I was hesitant to come here because I knew the prices were going to be more than other places. Fortunately, they removed my stains – both times, and my clothes were packaged professionally. There is nothing special about their work, but I do know they are the better cleaners in the University City area.
After my first time here, I did go to other places around the Penn campus to see their prices and services, and Bonded has the best overall package. They are professional and efficient, whereas other places made me feel really nervous as I walked out their doors.
I would recommend this place if you are in the area.

I love this place. It has the most adorable boutique with very cute clothing and accessories. I love the fact that the dresses and tops are beautiful and unique. The quality of the clothing is also great.
They also have cute lotions, and accessories, bags, and cosmetics. This is a great place to pick up a gift too.

I’ve never had such a poor experience at a dry cleaner. This place operates as both a dry cleaner and as a boutique. I dropped off my shirts for cleaning and purchased a dress that I was unsure about. I specifically asked when I was checking out what the return policy was and was told that I could return it within 7 days for store credit.
When I returned 4 days later to pick up my dry cleaning, I also brought back the dress and asked to return it (the same woman was working when I dropped off and picked up). I was told that it was final sale which was absolutely never advertised on the piece and was, in fact, advertised the opposite way when I asked about the return policy initially.
The woman that works there was entirely unsympathetic and unhelpful — she seemed to enjoy telling me that she had essentially tricked me when I purchased the dress and I couldn’t do anything about it.
I specifically created a Unilocal account to write this review because I am furious at the treatment I received. While they are conveniently located on campus for students, the experiences I’ve had here have all been incredibly negative so it is worth the walk to find a dry cleaner elsewhere.

I asked them to get some stains out of a white jacket. The stains were all still there and weren’t even faded when I got it back. I asked the lady working the desk what they did to try to get the stain out and she didn’t know anything. The dirt in my collar crease was still there. I basically spent $ 9 and got back my jacket in the exact same condition. I should’ve refused to pay. Don’t be fooled by their boutique exterior.

I’ve used Bonded’s tailoring services twice now. The fittings are quick, easy, and in a fun setting. Their work is fast and expertly finished. Price-​wise I find it reasonable, especially for the quality received. I’m quite likely to return!

In my experience, these people have been incredible. As a student at the University of Pennsylvania, I tried student services and Off the Cuff before I found this place. Student services was late with my clothes and charges 15 dollars a SHIRT!!! Then, the woman at Off the Cuff was an insufferable human being. She took way longer than promised with my shirt, and seemed pissed off at me about it. Nice.
Bonded was a godsend. Reasonable prices, clothes are always on time, and the women are incredibly nice (especially the teenaged one!).

What a beautiful boutique shop! I got a number of gifts (which my friends loved) from this place and a cardigan that I wear very often for casual, work and going out occasions. The owner is really nice and knows what she is talking about. It’s unique because it’s paired with the dry cleaners as well. For a boutique shop, the prices are extremely reasonable.

Excellent fashionable choices for the fashionistas! The owner has an incredible eye for clothes, jewelry, accessories, and taking risks. Everything from jewelry to essentials to hot items, this quaint, cute boutique is a surprise gem in the university city area! Ask for fashion advice and you’ll get an honest response. I’ve seen several girlfriends stop by to try on something that they wouldn’t normally buy, only to see them coming out with a HUGE smile on their face because they LOVE how the clothes make them feel.

Great service! I had received a dress as a gift that I really liked but was too big for me. The cleaner did an excellent job altering the dress and it doesn’t even look like it has been changed! I will definitely be returning since it’s hard to find someone who can alter clothes properly.

This cleaner did a great job with my dress shirts and slacks. The shirts came out very clean (especially around the collars) and crisp (starched it perfectly to my request.) Multiple times I have had poor results from this business: shirts coming back with new stains that hadn’t been there before, the inability to remove simple discolorations, and so on. The employees are basically nice enough, but after giving them so many chances (due to its very convenient location for me), I will be trying out something more distant in the hopes that I won’t have to make return trips.

Sure, they can get your shirts clean. But don’t expect them to do it with a smile. The first dress shirt I sent there, they managed to break a button (I’ve been getting shirts dry cleaned for years now, and this was a first in my book). The second dress shirt I sent, they managed to iron the «collar stays» into the collar. Quality. Needless to say, I’m looking for another neighborhood dry cleaner to fulfill my fabric needs.
