Specialties
Cat Veterinarian
History
Established in 1993.
We are committed to helping cats and their owners live better, happier, fuller lives.
We treat cats of all life stages, from kitten hood through geriatrics.
Our office practices integrative medicine, employing the best of both Western and Eastern veterinary medicine. While we primarily practice Western medicine, we use Chinese medicine to enhance treatment if the doctor and owner agree it is the right course of treatment.
Meet the Business Owner
Dr. Elizabeth M.
Business Owner
Elizabeth R. McKinstry VMD CVA
Dr. McKinstry received her dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Biology from Swarthmore College
and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine.
Elizabeth has always been an animal lover and she worked diligently to achieve her lifelong goal of becoming a
veterinarian and owning her own practice. While Elizabeth loves all animals, she has a special affinity toward cats.
Her love of felines is what drove her to open Cat Vet of South Street twenty years ago.
Dr. McKinstry chooses to take a holistic approach to veterinary medicine, which means she takes the diet, lifestyle
and quality of life of her patients into account when determining the best course of treatment. Never one to be idle,
Dr. McKinstry regularly attends continuing education seminars and conferences to stay abreast of the newest discoveries
in veterinary medicine.
