I have been taking my vehicles (’02 Pontiac Bonneville, ’10 Ford Edge) to Chi Auto for the past 6+ years now. And to date I have always received exceptional service. And to give me added value they would do minor repairs or adjustments for no charge. Chi (the owner) is always there to answer any of your questions or concerns and, his staff is very professional. The establishment is very clean and provides a pleasant atmosphere for what can be at times a stressful situation-​when it comes to car repairs. All of the positive reviews and the fact that he had to move to a bigger facility serves as a testament that his business is growing fast. Because Chi conducts his business with such honesty and integrity is why I believe his business will continue to grow. «Watch out Pep Boys!»

Quick same day service on my brand new Subaru… oil change + annual inspection. Chi also pointed out an issue that should be covered under warranty… really impressed with the customer service — Chi followed up after my service to thank me for my business. Will definitely be back.

Chi is the MAN!!! I went to him with an urgent situation with my car and he took care of it. What makes him really good is that he explains everything to you in detail. I’ve come in a few times for all sorts of repairs/​services on my 2007 Toyota Camry. It’s a bit of a drive from where I live — and now a bit farther now that they’ve relocated, but I will continue to make the drive out to this shop. I once made the mistake of getting an oil change closer to where I live due to laziness, and that shop charged me $ 80 frickin’ dollars for a synthetic oil change using cheap oil, whereas Chi’s shop quoted $ 60 for synthetic.
Maintenance: I’ve had my battery replaced, oil changed, transmission fluid changed, brake pads replaced, back rotors replaced, air filter changed… lots of maintenance because I got this car with 60k+ miles on it with minimal maintenance done before acquiring it. I’m also pretty sure they tightened my e-​brake (although it wasn’t billed) without me asking for it so that was nice. I use my e-​brake a lot and after picking up my car from the shop, I noticed my e-​brake was noticeably «tighter», or resisted much more than usual. Didn’t even realize e-​brakes can get loose! The only major thing I didn’t get serviced at this shop was an alignment, and that’s because they don’t offer that service at this shop.
Pricing: The price is fair and in the median. You’re not going to get the cheapest deal, but it’s far from the most expensive deal, either. I’d say the prices are in the median of what you’d be quoted from most mechanics.
Service: The shop is pretty laid back. Chi let me know that my Toyota Camry’s engine has a history of burning oil way too quickly, and that I should get in touch with my dealership to get it replaced because it’s a common problem amongst these Camrys. I couldn’t get it replaced, but it’s good to know why my oil light flicks on before I even hit 3000 miles since I drive roughly 70 miles a day for work. He may recommend additional maintenance/​servicing or not, and I am at the point now where I feel like they are not just trying to up-​sell anything if he does.
I’m a big stickler for customer service, but I’m still really nice. I’m that girl that will still tip a server 20% on a bill even if they sucked. Chi acts neither like a salesman or a customer service rep, so it’s not like you’re going to get swept off your feet, and that’s not a bad thing. I never felt the need to ask «Why is this price so high?» so I cannot comment on how that part of customer service is – as it’s important to me that an auto repair shop can answer those questions without attitudes or condescending remarks – , but I never felt like I wasn’t treated fairly.
Saturday hours are great for someone who has zero flexibility during the week, like me!

I had my car serviced at Chi’s for the first time a few weeks ago and wanted to give it some time before submitting a review. My car had been giving me problems for the past 2 years, mainly due to a shoddy alternator and battery. After having it replaced TWICE elsewhere, the problem persisted and it wouldn’t take long before reverting back to a dying heap of metal that needed a jump start much too often. I was able to put up with it for awhile but when my car finally died mid-​drive, I had to do something about it.
A quick search on Unilocal led me to Chi’s. Local with loads of positive reviews. I’m usually very skeptical but they definitely lived up to the reputation. I left my car with them and within the next 30 minutes, I received a phone call with an accurate diagnosis. They told me ONLY what I needed serviced and didn’t try to push any other services on me. I really appreciated that. And as a bonus, the price turned out to be cheaper than what I was expecting to pay. My car has been running with zero hiccups and after 2 years of daily maintenence, I can finally drive in peace.

I took my car here because of all the great reviews I read, and y’all don’t lie! I’ve been going to tires plus in the past, and I had a feeling they were raping my wallet. Chi is great, and I haven’t even picked my car up yet! They called me to tell me that none of the things I was told were wrong with my car are actually wrong. Thanks for being quick, and professional. I’ll be back, and I’ll be referring my friends.

Cost me alot of money. If you come here, check the receipt and ask questions because he will try to hustle you. He came off nice and it wasn’t until I went to another mechanic he helped me see that he was charging me for something he told me he doesn’t do in his shop becuz they don’t have the space for it. Not happy with the place. there’s no need to be dishonest in business. He tried to charge me $ 500 for something he couldn’t guarantee would fix the problem. pepboys recommended an auto body shop to examine the frame work. Always ask questions, you can’t trust everyone.

I’ve have had nothing but good experiences here. The guys here will help you weigh options on your repairs (using cheaper parts vs more expensive) and not pressure you into anything. Service for me has been quick and accommodating. No complaints so far will be back for any major services for sure.

If your sick and tired of being played by your typical mechanic. Chi is the man to see. The only person i trust to bring my car for an honest rundown without BS. He’s fair, real and his prices usually beat the rest. So if u want QUALITY at the right price. You’ve cant make a better choice.

I am very please with the auto service that Chi and his team have provided when they are working my car. They are honest and pricing is reasonable. Work is also fast and on point. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a good auto shop.

Still going to Chi, car’s still running beautifully. He now has an online system where he puts all jobs in and it helps keep track of your repairs.

Had to have my shifting wire changed on my car at the last minute on a Friday. As a new customer, Chi took care of my car and had it back to me by 430pm the same day. Unilocal didn’t steer me wrong. Chi is my new mechanic! Chi you’re AWESOME! Thx! See you next week for my brakes!

Great communication with the shop as I got my 2000 Ford Focus wiper linkage replaced. They were quick in completing the work, and came in at their estimate. Chi is very friendly, and knows his stuff.
I would do business with these guys again. I felt like I could trust them. That’s a very valuable feeling to have with your mechanic.

Came in last month for an oil change and Chi noticed that there was a huge bubble on one of my tires. (Thanks, winter potholes.) So glad he saw this, otherwise I may still be driving with a potential hazard just waiting to explode.
I had the tire replaced, as well as the ABS sensor since the light has been going off lately. Chi was very responsive from the estimate on time and pricing, and completed the work within the time frame that he quoted.
Very happy with the service that was performed! Great guy who does honest work.

Chi is a great down to earth guy. I got my inspection and emission done here. No hassle. Its convenient that the place is open on Saturdays. Came on a Saturday morning and didn’t have to wait for a line.

So far Unilocal hasn’t let me down when it comes to recommending awesome automobile-​related services (Floyd’s, Spring St. Car Wash, etc) and I think I found my car guy in Philly.
I live in NJ, and I drive a car which unfortunately has a rotary engine, which means changing my own oil without a garage is a little messy and unpractical. Back when I was in GA, my car dealership offered me discounted oil changes done in under thirty minutes, so I had no reason to stay away from dealerships; hoping to replicate similar results in NJ/​PA, I called up three different Mazda dealerships in the area and they all overquoted me (Dealership Lady #1−3: Your car has a different engine, so we need to charge you more) with scarce availability.
Then I gave Chi a call, and the fact that I had an RX-​8 didn’t phase Chi at all, because apparently his brother had one too and he had the oil change part down to an art form. Great thirty minute service for 30 dollars. (+10 if you want the high mileage oil) Can’t beat that.

I have been going to Chi any time I needed work done to my car and I have never been disappointed. I trust him with my Mercedes C300 and I rather take it to him than a Mercedes’ own maintenance shop. He does a great job, doesn’t do a half a$$ job, the price has always been below value, and he gives an honest assessment.
It’s hard to trust car dealer shops because I have been duped before into getting something fix that I didn’t need. All of my car repairs goes through this place first. Thanks for the excellent job!
