I loved my first ring so much I got two more custom pieces made. They used the stones from an existing ring to make me a matched set. As before, Margie and John were so wonderful to work with and show such obvious love and care in their craft.

I needed to get a ring resized and reset a loose diamond. Not knowing many jewelers in the area, Unilocal came to the rescue!
Small place, but big on friendly and professional service. My repair took a little over an hour, which was fine for me since I was running errands all afternoon. When I got to try on my ring, I was really impressed with how beautiful it looked! They worked some magic in polishing the ring to a perfect brilliance. They also gave me the smidgen of metal that was taken out of the band just in case I needed it.
I highly recommend, and would come here again for any jewelry repair!

Great jeweler! The woman who helped me was very friendly. I went in to have some speed bumps added to my engagement ring. They were very helpful in figuring out how to properly size it. When one of my tiny diamonds came off during the cleaning process, they called me to let me know that they could reattach it and also did the ring appraisal for free. Great place. Highly recommended.

I was referred to John Sr. at D&K in a very roundabout way. I don’t know a thing about jewelry and when I emailed John Sr. about purchasing an engagement ring, his last line in his response was «I promise I will make this fun for you!». I was highly doubtful about that, but guess what? He did! John Sr. was able to help me find a great stone and created a custom one-​of-​a-​kind diamond engagement ring that my fiancé LOVES. He took such great care in listening to what I wanted and helping me come to my own decision about what was the best piece for my price range. The entire staff was not-​at-​all pushy and I felt like I got the family treatment.
It is so nice to see that businesses like this thrive in Philadelphia. I would give them a ¹⁰⁄₁₀ rating if I could. It was such a wonderful experience and I ended up having a ton of fun during the entire process. Cannot recommend D&K enough.

Amazing experience here; I bought a custom-​made band for an engagement ring. We worked with Lisa, who is not only a talented artist, but extremely down to earth and friendly! She was great at visualizing our spoken ideas and began with sketches of the ring, which then became a 3D CAD computer rendering, and after some design adjustments, the ring was 3D printed to get an even better idea of what the final product would look like. Let’s just say that the final product was simply jaw dropping in craftsmanship, design/​artistry, and quality. Many thanks to Lisa as well as the master engraver and others behind the scenes who made the ring.
Further, this was all at a price point that was very reasonable. I recommend everyone come here; we went to all the other highly rated shops to talk/​check things out and as an informed customer (from reading a TON of detailed independent info online), this was without a doubt the best place I could have chosen.

This establishment is quality! I went to D’Antonio & Klein for cleaning my diamond engagement ring and was PARANOID about everything they tell you online about not leaving your diamonds with anyone. They took the time to show me my inclusions on the microscope before and after the cleaning, they talked to me about my diamond, they were professional, trustworthy, honest and extremely knowledgeable about diamonds! My diamond was absolutely gorgeous and the most sparkly I’ve ever seen! I will do all of my jewelry business there from now on! About a year ago, I bought my wife a sapphire and yellow gold ring online. Website had great reviews but the product ended up being of poor quality, resulting in the sapphire stone falling out. After sending the setting back to the online jeweler, they went MIA.
About a year later, I decided to have the setting remade and the original stone placed in, at Antonio & Klein. Glad I did! Dennis helped me pick the perfect setting and band, was able to order and show me the setting in TWO DAYS, and gave me a great deal in the process. No more online jewelers for me, I have a go-​to jeweler from now on.

We worked with Jonathan to design my engagement ring. My fiancé and I were so impressed with his expertise and his personable nature. It felt like we were working with an old family friend. We have been working with Jonathan to straighten out some of the difficulties described in my original review. I am happy to report that he worked very hard at no cost to remedy things, and that, after many visits, the issues with the ring seem taken care of.

I had a great experience at D&K. I recently got engaged and needed to get the ring resized. It’s a family antique and I was very pleased with both the customer service and the amount of professionalism and care. My ring fit perfectly and it looked beautiful after it was cleaned.
My fiancé also purchased a necklace to go along with the ring and one of the clasps on the chain broke. It was fixed with no questions asked or charge and ready for pick up the next day with my ring.

Let me start off by saying I am not a big jewelry girl, and never wear rings (uncomfortable), so I was pretty adamant about finding a UNIQUE engagement ring that I really loved. I looked and most rings were OK, some too plain, some too gaudy. Customer service at various stores (Zales, Jareds, KAO, to name a few) was lackluster, and many just pulled out the most popular ring or the one they liked, not considering what I WANTED. I decided I may need a custom ring. I came to my fav site, Unilocal, and found D’Antonio & Klein Jewelers!
The next Saturday we went to the store and was greeted with a smile by David Adamson. I told him I didn’t wear rings, wanted something unique, and seemed to be into vintage style rings. He immediately pulled out gorgeous options that encompassed everything I wanted. They have traditional rings, can create custom rings, alter already made rings, and also have a collection of vintage estate jewelry. I fell in love with an estate ring from the 1930s with an old European cut diamond. I kind of wanted a two-​tone look, and David assured me they could make the customizations I needed. It was a bit out of my fiancé’s budget, but apparently David worked with him enough to make it happen. He proposed March 7, 2015 (2 weeks later), and I couldn’t be happier!
What happened next is WHY I’m taking the time to share my story on Unilocal!Fast forward to May when my fiancé and I took a little engagement trip to celebrate. During our trip, I LOST MY RING! Yes the whole thing. Ladies, you can imagine the devastation I felt. I adored my ring but what was killing me was that my man worked so hard to get that ring. It was the biggest purchase of his life outside of a car! I felt careless, horrible and embarrassed. Plus, my ring was one-​of-​a-​kind. Irreplaceable. And no, I didn’t have insurance. The pamphlet was sitting in my purse, and I was supposed to call but never got around to it. After a few days of depression, I called David to tell him what happened. I wanted to replace the ring MYSELF, but didn’t have the budget my fiancé did. David went ABOVE and BEYOND to help me. I sent him pics of the ring at every angle I had (that was a life saver). He then worked on finding an old European diamond, which are rare, but he found one in about 24 hours on consignment. He confirmed that the lil magic elves they have upstairs could recreate my ring from the pictures (they have PRIMO jewelry artists in-​house that can make ANYTHING). He gave me a quote, and it was over my budget. I was only working with about ½ of what my fiancé paid. He then called the lady who had the diamond on consignment, and asked her to lower her price so that I could afford the ring! Talk about above and beyond! She agreed, so the project began. About a week later, he asked me to come see the wax model. WOW WAS I BLOWN AWAY!!! The amount of detail that was captured in wax was amazing! He even dropped in my vintage diamond so I could get a feel for how it would look on my finger. I approved the design immediately. It looked so much like my first ring. One week after that, David called me to say he found two smaller vintage diamonds on consignment and was going to use them for the detail around the main diamond. We had planned to just use regular diamonds, but he thought it would be so much better to have true vintage diamonds through and through. What a good call that was, and so considerate to continue looking for vintage diamonds that I didn’t even request! The next day (one week after I tried on the wax model) my real ring was ready, and I hate to say it, but I LOVED it MORE than my first one! David guided the artist through the process, and added even more detail, beading, and did a gold band to give me the two-​tone effect I wanted originally. I am in LOVE with my new ring! (not more than my fiancé…I promise. LOL!)
So in summary, I got a custom vintage-​style ring within my budget at a very reasonable price. My appraisal (and new insurance policy) shows a value of DOUBLE what I paid. David is by far the BEST jeweler I’ve come across EVER! He’s nice, knowledgeable and WANTS to help you find a perfect piece. He says that often, and he’s proven to me he means it. Also, forgot to mention, he’s a certified and licensed gemologist and appraiser, NOT a salesman! We never felt pressured or uncomfortable like we did at many other places. Save your time and money. Get a high quality piece you LOVE. Go to D’Antonio & Klein… They all were very nice any time we called or came in the store. But of course, I highly recommend David!

This is my first time using Unilocal and I felt very inclined to do so because this place is the absolute best in Philadelphia! Perhaps even the East Coast… The services is BEYOND excellent and the amazing quality of their work and craftsmanship is beyond compare. My fiancé and I were helped by David and he never steered us wrong. David is incredibly nice, not pushy, and he is incredibly knowledgeable. We felt so comfortable dealing with him …

I almost forgot — I wanted my wedding band to match a very intricate design that was hand engraved on a great grandmother’s gold bangle, a family heirloom. A jeweler in Michigan told my mother that hand engravers with that skill just do not exist anymore … well he didn’t know about D&K, their engravers matched it perfectly! it means so much to my family that they were able to do that — it brought tears to my mother.

Although I did not end up purchasing a piece of jewelry here I can highly recommend them. We were working with Jonathan who was an absolute gem! He was really helpful, polite, informative and not pushy at all. I will certainly consider them for my jewelry needs going forward.

Dennis stayed true to his guarantee that my very tight deadline was met (or rather, exceeded, ahead of schedule-​).
And John worked very carefully and attentively with me to take my complex idea for a custom necklace pendant (which other jewelers had flat-​out said was «impossible») and made it a reality. He guided me, offered suggestions at my request, but always stayed true to my vision. As he updated me throughout its production, it was obvious that he very much personally cared — and the final product is perfect: something my fiancé and I will cherish forever.
We can’t wait to go back to work with him for our wedding soon.

Excellent craftsmanship, service and pricing. Repaired the broken shank on my diamond engagement ring and even made a small cross pendant from the gold that had to removed from the ring. Also rebuilt my husband’s Tag Heuer watch. They are well worth the trip!

I purchased my wife’s engagement ring at a different location, but we needed a local jeweler to re-​size the band. Using another friend’s suggestion, we stopped by D’Antonio and Klein and were very happy we did so. They spent so much time raving about the ring (it’s a deep blue Ceylon sapphire) that we felt a connection and wanted to shop for our wedding rings there (great salesmanship, huh?). Additionally, my wife damaged her engagement ring while wearing it to the gym, and D’Antonio and Klein fixed the ring free of charge.
Very happy with our experience so far, we returned to D’Antonio and Klein to shop for a wedding band. My wife wanted a ring to complement her sapphire engagement stone. So, D’Antonio and Klein took her ring for a week so that they could make a custom size imprint and also find a selection of much smaller blue sapphires that matched the color and intensity as perfectly as could be. We were very happy with the final product and definitely recommend them for all jewelry needs.

John and Dennis have been my jewelers for over 30 years now. Prior to that I was actually their employee for some 6 years and especially after working for them would never consider using another jeweler. The honesty I saw in those men as their employee, assures me but they are steering me in the right direction when it comes to a purchase or any repairs.
Not to mention that John is an exceptional designer. He has created for me some magnificent peices and takes great pride in what he creates. Anyone looking for above average, unique, or even over the top, he is by far the guy to see.
Truly there isn’t enough I can say about the honesty, integrity and skills of these great guys. And remember, this is coming from an ex employee. How many people can say those kinds of things about people they used to work for. …

These guys are great. Really, truly great. They did a fantastic job creating my wedding band. It fits perfectly and it was done quickly. They were willing to negotiate price with us, too. They even helped us get our rings cleaned the week of the wedding and they tightened the stone on my engagement ring (it was lose apparently). Oh! And did I mention they do appraisals? Shout out to D’Antonio & Klein for the amazing customer service. You rock (pun intended)!

When trying to add my recently purchased engagement ring to my homeowner’s policy, I found out that I needed a written appraisal to give to the insurance company. My Unilocal search for appraisal turned up a number of results and after consulting reviews, I turned to D’Antonio & Klein. After a brief phone call, I set up an appointment and was quoted a very fair price for the appraisal document.
I was greeted by the very kind staff upon entering and I showed them the ring. They were very helpful in letting me know that the main stone was loose and that they would tighten the setting for me as part of the process. They also offered to clean and polish the ring while I waited. I learned a great deal about the ring I bought and I was happy to see that the appraisal price they arrived at exceeded my expectations. The whole process took me about 25 minutes and the staff could not have been more helpful.
I know that I will need other jewelry made in the future and D’Antonio & Klein is at the top of my list. In the mess of places that is Jeweler’s Row, I found at least one spot that makes sense for me and I’m sticking with them.
