Specialties
The 400 Greatest Beers You’ve Never Had ! Matched with award winning fries, mussels, hamburgers, fish and chips and full dinner menu.
Like a museum entrusted with preserving priceless works of art, serving great beers requires diligence. This includes glycol coolers, nitrogen generators and blenders, dedicated glass washers, weekly line cleaning, proper glassware, glass rinsers and well trained staff to serve perfection. Eulogy is a state of the art presentation of beers.
History
Established in 2002.
My family is from Brugge, Belgium, I am passionate about Belgian beer, food and heritage, this adds an authenticity to the business. I got the building in 2002 and built the restaurant myself using antique stain glass behind the bar from an old Philadelphia church and a chandelier from an old church as well. The bar was constructed in Fishtown in Philadelphia by a local carpenter using Honduras Mahogany I imported and the design of the bar was based on a blueprint I drew.
We take our beer very very very serious, our beer starts in a beer cooler and is then delivered via dual gas blenders using co2 and nitrogen blends for the proper carbonation technique. Most of our draft beer never travels more than six feet but along that journey there are glycol filled lines keeping the beer at 40 ish degrees until it hits your glass. We have about 200 different glasses we keep in stock because most of the taste for beer is accomplished through your smelling it, yes your nose!
