This place has recently been redone on the interior and is actually a respectable business. Kind of a staple for paper product and cleaning products as well as a specific ingredient if in a pinch and can’t get to acme. Good for soft drinks and impulse snacks as well as season decorations.

The Family Dollar store on Ridge reminds me of the Woolworth 5 & dime of my youth. You can save serious dough here on various soaps, that alone is wroth the trip. They also have automotive and household items, pet food/​litter …decorative stuff, I got curtain rods and panels, cheap and thier lamps are bargins .
Also the little items not easily found. I get the wire mesh drains, 4 for a 1.00. And cute brooms for a buck .They have nice cheap holiday items… where else would you get crazy Halloween and St Patty’s stuff on mass for a little? I got cute cookie tins for baked Xmas gifts for not alot. It was nice to give people new tins
They even have food that would help a young family stretch the cereal /​juice /​cookie budget.
You have to shop a bit, but that’s the fun.
The staff tries to keep up, but you don’t want to be there when its crowded. It can get crazy. But all in all, it’s a good place
