This took way too long, I don’t even think they check their online orders, was not pleased and did nothing to make up for the lack of service!

This is a better than average Chinese take out in the ‘hood. Of course the store front is sketchy, but they all are in this part of town. But the food I ordered here was the best tasting Chinese food I’ve had around here. The lo mein was cooked perfectly for me. The prices are cheaper than average too. A large shrimp lo mein was under $ 7. I also had the hot and sour soup which was quite good, and pork dumplings which were delish. All this with fast delivery and available on grubhub!

Be aware. I think this place is under new management. I used to love the food from here, but I recently had a terrible experience. When I order Chinese, my 5 year old will usually request a burger instead. Never had a problem with their burgers. All of a sudden, the food comes and I give my son his burger. He opens it to add ketchup and notices that there are two small patties thrown together(like the size of a meatball smashed down) on a large bun. I thought it was unusual, but he was okay with it. My son then bit into the burger, chewed, and then told me the burger tasted weird and asked why it was pink on the inside. I looked at the burger and it had BLOOD dripping from the inside even though the outside of the burger was extremely dark. Okay, maybe some people eat their burgers like this, but not my child. I decided to call and let them know the burger wasn’t cooked all the way and that it was kind of sloppy too(cheese poured on top of it instead of a slice of cheese so the whole roll was a cheesy wet disaster). The response I received was, «Heat it in microwave.» Um no. If I wanted a micro burger I would have went to the dollar store and got one. I asked to speak to someone else, so the person gave me the number to the manager. I called the manager and kindly explained that the burger was pink on the inside with blood dripping when you press down on it. He told me, «Oh it’s only $ 1.95 so it’s not that bad.» I don’t care how much it cost me, my child was hungry and their customer service clearly lacks. I then told him it’s not about the money and even explained how there were two tiny patties on one large bun and asked about that. The manager then told me, «We are not professionals. It’s only $ 1.95 you come pick a new one up then.» First, if you’re not a professional WTF are you doing cooking food? I told him no thanks, keep your crap burgers, and let him know I’d be posting a review on Unilocal to let everyone know about my experience. After I said that, he tried apologizing, but it was too late for me. I won’t order here ever again and I don’t think the same people own it anymore because I NEVER had a problem with this place before this.

I was craving general tso chicken and on a rainy nasty cold day I was not up to driving to my favorite Chinese spot in China town(Four Rivers). I decided to take the chance with this place based on other Unilocal reviews. This was the only place with positive reviews in the area. Wait, It was the only place with reviews! I placed an order for delivery and the wait time was pretty short. The food was piping hot and delicious. I wasn’t expecting the food to taste as good as it did! I ordered general tso chicken and 2 pizza rolls. The pizza rolls were good but with a little more sauce they would have been perfect. Great portion sizes! I will definitely order from this place again! I gave it 4 stars because for the area that it is in it’s definitely worth the money and the calories! Enjoy, I did!

I’m torn about this place. The food is really delicious and well priced. My roommates and I have tried lots of things from this place and its always tasty. My issue is that delivery can take forever. Forever. I’ve ended up eating another dinner and keeping my Chinese as leftovers because its taken so long. The other side of that is that going to pick up the food from the restaurant always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It’s not in a nice building by any means and twice I have been harassed in the waiting area by other… patrons. The food is delicious and the people are nice, but getting the food means picking the lesser of two evils. I would say don’t call when you’re already really hungry and craving Chinese food and know what you’re getting in to if you decide to go pick it up yourself.

My boyfriends mom always orders from this place. Their food is always steaming hot when it gets to your front door, and they remember your order fairly well if you are a regular. Their wonton soup is the perfect balance of salt and broth. I only give them four stars because the place could use a face lift.

This is 100% NOT an eat in spot, but if you want yummy, cheap take out or delivery, you can not do better than this! I have been ordering from them for years now and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend their House Special Mai Fun :)

Even though there are three Chinese restaurants closer to me, I keep coming back to Fu Li Yuan. Most soy sauce has gluten in it — most American Chinese dishes have soy sauce in them. Take the soy sauce out — I have to because I’m gluten-free — and Chinese food can become pretty bland. So I usually get Singapore Mai Fun wherever I go — it is a rice noodle dish with pieces of fried egg, chicken, pork, and shrimp, with a curry seasoning. Fu Li Yuan’s Singapore Mai Fun does not disappoint! It has just the right amount of spice — not really painful, but keeping a slight sting in my mouth in between bites. I also love the vegetables they throw in — most places you will find onions and leeks in this dish — but here they’ll also add carrot, green pepper, mushroom, sugar snap peas — whatever they’re in the mood for that day. Basically, it’s delicious. They’re also really friendly. I studied Chinese for four years, and they are happy to converse with me in Chinese, and practice their English some too. The restaurant is right off of Aramingo and Westmoreland — near Petco, Kmart, Pathmark, etc. You wouldn’t want to stay there to eat — I guess there’s a folding table in the corner if you were really desperate — but it makes for good take-out. And I guess there’s a Water Ice Factory right there if you want dessert.
