Second time using Goodman. They said they would be here between 9 – 12 and they were here at 930. Both times they were on time and both times they came on Sunday which was a life saver because it was an emergency both times. Will definitely use and recommend Goodman again.

Once again, GOODMAN PLUMBING SAVED THE DAY! When our shower wouldn’t turn off this morning, Goodman was there in 2 hours, repaired and crises averted. No kidding — don’t use anyone else.

How hard is it to find a reliable, honest, and punctual plumber?! I’m glad I came across Goodman Plumbing and wish I had found them sooner. Usually when I call for plumbing services no one answers the phone, they never call you back or ask for a ridiculous amount of money. When I called Goodman Plumbing (Friday November 13, 2015) someone immediately answered the phone. I explained to the women on the phone the issue I was having and she quoted me a price to come out the next day (Saturday). I told her it wasn’t an emergency situation and I was able to hold off until Monday which made my quote about $ 80 cheaper. They tag on an emergency fee for weekend service so if it’s not an emergency have them schedule service during the week. This was a tip from another Unilocaler!
My appointment was scheduled for Monday anywhere from 10am-​2pm and the plumber would call when he was on his way. I was expecting to wait around all day. I received a call around 9:19am from the plumber stating he was on his way. They were early and started working before 10am which was awesome. Ed and Ed (the plumbers), explained what the real issues was and how they took care of it and also explained what to do to prevent it from happening again. Both Ed and Ed were extremely knowledgably, and friendly! I was originally quoted $ 165.00 and received a coupon for $ 20 off from Ed and ended up paying $ 145.00. I was also given a 30 warranty which was nice. I gladly tip them for such great service!
If you are in need of a plumber don’t hesitate to call Goodman Plumbing, they will answer the phone and come out on time!

We’ve used these guys twice now, and I have nothing but good things to say. First visit was to diagnose a leak in our garage — fixed quick, and for a very reasonable cost. Then came back to give us an estimate on replacement of our three leaky toilets — performed the work today and again for a very reasonable cost. Didn’t try and sell us the toilets either — actually recommended we buy them ourselves to save some $$.
We had been using a very well known plumbing service in the area up until now — but I always felt like they were trying to upsell me. Goodman did the same work today for less than the other plumber quoted us last year.
No frills, just great, reliable service. Bill was great each time we met him. We will definitely use Goodman again.

Very, very happy! Worked around our schedule, got in, got done and earned my future business. Fixed another company’s previous mistake and did it correctly. Our pipes and drains are flowing perfectly now, thanks so much!

What can I say about this company. They came out to correct work on two different jobs that two different WELL KNOWN plumbers did at my elderly mother’s home.
Their fast and courteous and STAR QUALITY SERVICE is A1 in her book. Bill is very knowledgeable in his craft. We will DEFINITELY be using them again. GOD BLESS GOODMAN PLUMBING!!! A WORK OF ART!!!

They aren’t really available for «emergency services» they do answer the phones but then you have to wait 4 days for them to show up. Don’t say you provide «emergency service» if you don’t really do it.

I called at least 7 other plumbers and Goodman was the cheapest — cheaper than HomeDepot — and they were very up front about the cost. $ 865 to put in a new one and take the old one away. I scheduled an 8 – 10 window and they arrived at 9 after calling me an hour before. I like this. Due to certain situation, I needed my water heater installed backwards. This required additional labor but they didn’t charge me a dime more. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would use again and I recommend these guys to everyone.

The best… can’t say enough! Came out right away & fixed/​corrected Roto-Rooter’s incompetent work from the day before which left me w no water for a day. Goodmen had the water running within 5 mins & advised me on future work to have done. No pressure & reasonable. Bill from Goodmen was great & knew what he was doing! My go to plumber for now on!

Had the joy of waking up to a broken water heater and 2 inches of water in my (thankfully unfinished) basement. I called Goodman at 8:15 a.m., and they had two guys here by around 10 a.m. They quoted me a fair price for replacing the water heater (with a good quality one and warranty, etc.), taking out the old one, adding necessary connections, etc. They were done with everything before noon. They did a fair job of getting out the worst of the pooled water too. Although these kinds of emergency repairs are no fun, at least I was able to get it fixed and have hot water back on the same day. Will definitely use Goodman again for plumbing needs.

I had a pipe break at 7 PM and they were *quick*. They were over in 5 minutes and the problem was resolved in no time.
Definitely will be using them again.

Yesterday the front portion of my basement flooded. I tried cleaning it up but got nowhere. My brother used Goodman in the past and gave me their name & number. I called this morning (a Sunday) at 9am and the issue was repaired by 11:15am. It was a sewage line back-​up. The cost was $ 100 plus an $ 85 weekend service call fee. I felt it was reasonable, especially to have all that sewage out of my basement (ew). I definitely will use Goodman in the future. Quick, professional, friendly, reasonable rates.

I had two plumbing issues, a leaky toilet and a water heater that started throwing rust water and staining my laundry. I got the telephone number for Goodman Plumbing from my next-​door neighbors. I called an made an appointment, and Maurice was here the next day to asses the issues and give me a price. He returned on Monday, replaced the water heater, but because of another problem with the toilet, was unable to complete that job that day. He came back with the necessary parts the following day, and the toilet issue was resolved. The price was a couple of hundred dollars more due to the problem with the toilet, but it was definitely worth it to not have a leak into my kitchen.
After the job was completed, Maurice cleaned up the area and made sure everything was back in place.
Goodman Plumbing also handles heating issues, and I will be contacting them again to check my heater and repair a couple of radiators that haven’t worked in a couple of years. Again, the price is very reasonable.

Goodman was a lucky random pick out of the phone book. We had a leak that needed to be fixed so I crossed my fingers and gave them a call. I was pleasantly surprised to hear someone answer the office phone on a Sunday.
We were able to have someone come out to our house the very next day. They assessed the damage and gave us a quote within 30 minutes. What I appreciated about Goodman is that they gave us options. Instead of charging the highest price possible, the gentleman sat down with us and explained what work he could do at the three quotes. He was also honest in the work that needed to be done right away and what could probably wait a little longer. Feeling our hesitation about the price for the work needed, he then offered a slight discount, which was greatly appreciated.
They came a couple days later and did the work they promised. The workers were efficient and explained what they were doing along the way. They even cleaned up after themselves once they were done, which I was not expecting.
My experience with Goodman was great. They were honest, reliable, and fair.

I was very impressed all-​around with this company. They answered their phone in half a ring. The guy was personable and nice on the phone, said someone would be by in an hour or so. Little over an hour later I got a call from Jason who said he’d be here (Girlfriend’s house in Fox Chase) in about 15 minutes. He told us the prices after they diagnosed the problem. Very fair price. Problem fixed just hours after it started and it was totally a non-​emergency.
If I had to give one con I would say that the clean-​up could’ve been a little better but that is not their job. They came in and fixed the problem. They couldn’t get at the clog from outside so they had to take the toilet out. And the toilet got a little dirty so I cleaned it up. No big deal. Not like they got the rug dirty or anything.
So, thanks to Jason and Matt and the guy on the phone. It couldn’t have been any easier!

I call goodman Pluming this past weekend with water leaking in my basement. Dwayne called me back within 10 minutes, sent over Stan within ½ hour. He told me that the water heater needed to be replace and gave me great price to install new replacement He had one on his truck and install a new one. He was professional, and very clean. I would highly recommend them

I could go on and on about how great these guys were.
We discovered a flooded basement in the afternoon on a Sunday. I googled «emergency plumber philadelphia» and these were the only guys without negative reviews. When I called, I got a receptionist who told me a plumber would call me. 5 minutes later I got a call from the plumber, who listened to my problem, said what he thought the issue might be, told me the cost to fix, and the difference to come out Sunday as opposed to during the week ($ 85). I asked him if he thought I could wait, and he asked me a couple questions and then told me I could wait if I didn’t want to spend the money, but just to try to not use my water.
He scheduled me an appointment for the next morning between 8 and 10. I got a phone call at 7:55 saying he would be here in 45 minutes. When he got here 45 min later, it turned out the issue was much more serious than was originally thought. But he gave me a quote that I thought was reasonable (we had a 4″ rusted hole in the back of our cast iron drain pipe that he said would cost $ 1400 because he needed to replace 3 feet of pipe), and when he was done the price was what he said.
The plumbers (Mo, and his son, Junior) had an incredible amoount of respect for our house. They brought in a whole trail of work cloths to run from the front door to the basement, so they wouldn’t mess up my carpet. And they constantly kept me informed with what was going on. While they were here, Goodman also sent some drain cleaners to take care of the pipe between the fix and the street.
After they were finished and I had already paid I mentioned another issue I had been having with my shower. Even though they had been working for hours and were talking about getting lunch, they looked at my shower and told me exactly what the issue was. They went to the plumbing supply store and worked through lunch to fix it for me and charged me a reasonable price (they had to go to the store, lengthen a pipe on the tub spout, replace the spout, and seal all the fixtures – $ 165).
Even through all the stress of this, I feel like we at least found a plumber we can trust and that we can call if we have trouble in the future.

These guys just saved my New Years Eve from total disaster. I had water leaking through the ceiling from a toilet upstairs, and these guys were here, identified the issue, and fixed it all in a few hours… on a weekend, and on a holiday! Thanks guys!

Maybe I am biased, but I was very happy with Goodman Plumbing. My husband called them in an emergency after we woke up Tuesday morning to a flooded basement and what we suspected was a broken water heater. We Googled «emergency plumbers Philadelphia» and Goodman answered their phone first. Our usual plumber was not answering his phone and Goodman came out in under an hour. Not only did they identify the problem (yup, cracked water heater), they cleared out the old one and also let us know our clothes dryer was hooked up incorrectly and dangerously.
