Horrible! From the beginning of the phone call with 2 people not being able to understand English, I asked if this was Greenman’s and was told yeah. Asked same owner, reply: yeah.
So, I’m surprised that «Greenman’s» would be subjecting their longtime loyal customers to this type of phone service. I order anyway. Go in to a dirty store and 2 people sitting around– not like the Greenman’s I loved and was willing to travel to get to.
You can’t even compare this slop to a Greenman’s hoagie. Don’t waste your money.
My problem is why are they keeping this name and phone number and either lying that they are the same owner or unable to understand the question. Plus, charging top dollar. Never again! What a shame from what once was the best hoagie around. Spread the word, Northeast Philly friends– Greenman’s is just a memory :(

The Greenman family is long gone. The current version of this store is just plain awful. I would avoid at all costs. The family also got rid of the Grant store. One of the younger generation moved it a few blocks away & called it Heim’s, but this is also now closed, as apparently so is the Huntingdon Valley Greenman’s location. So sad.
Anyway, avoid this store at all costs, unless you like bad food that could possibly screw up your gastro system.

The Greenman family is long gone and the Korean owners there do not know a hoagie from a hairpin; save your cash and visit Jacks in Tacony & Chubbys in Fox Chase. Fresh and delicious Italian Hoagie.

It has been taken over by new ownership and it is flat out bad. All that history of great hoagie’s are long gone. The place is dirty and and to be honest I wasn’t crazy about eating it after I left. Sad to say. They’re a ton of better shop around go there.

Ive always got sick after eating their hoagies, last time I found why, after ordering one I looked and seen more than half of the mayo in the container had turned clear like, come on it’s NOT good to serve !!!

I found this deli on my map as I was driving towards 95… Even though one review stated that the hoagies here are amazing, I didn’t rule out throwing away more of my hard earned money.
Well, this is one very good deli. The hoagie I ordered was really good, and the service was friendly. The sign says that they’ve been here since 1948, and you can tell… I love stepping into stores that have been in business for years and has that old school look, service, and products… The hoagie was as good as it was propped up by other reviewers here on Unilocal,and I’ll be back for another when I’m in this part of town…

Three words describe this place, OH MY GOD! The original is probably the best hoagie I’ve ever had, the Italian, runs a close second. The breakfast sandwiches are fantastic, and can you go wrong with a side of scrapple? hell no! Definitely worth checking out if you’ve never been here.

This is the original Greenman’s. They opened another branch on Grant.
Greenman’s is an authentic round the way neighborhood store. No douche bag yuppies here, only corner boys and catholic school kids running home with their clip on ties in their hands. You can get fancier hoagies elsewhere like at Primo’s. But for true Philly authenticity Greenman’s is without a doubt the BEST hoagie in all of Philadelphia. NE Philly is a breeding ground for fat slobs, and no wonder why with a place of this caliber stuffing 2ft addictive sandwiches down your gullet.
Get the original with everything on it, pickles and hots if that’s your thing. Whatever kind of dressing they put on there is like crack.
