I would give them 10 stars if I could…
Absolutely the best doctors office I have ever been to, which is saying a lot considering it is 99% residents. First off, the office staff is extremely sweet and accommodating… to everyone.
The Residents were very knowledgeable and easy-​going… and even when the attending was needed to come in and consult me, she took her time and was extremely helpful.
The part that floored me, was when I needed to get referred to a neuro-​ophthalmologist and considering I am professional medical student, not being able to read out of one of my eyes is a pretty «urgent» matter when I spend 99% of my time studying. Well, the receptionist could not get me in to the specialists office for a VERY long time… that was when the resident I had been working with (Dr. Patel) came out and spoke with the other office’s staff himself. When they tried to tell him to have me «come in and they would try and get me in,» he refused to accept having me miss class without a guaranteed appointment time.
Then when the other office couldn’t come up with anything, they offered to have their on-​call residents come in and help with overflow that day to help get me in quicker. I mean WOW! The is without a doubt the nicest thing any doctor has done for me… or that I have ever even heard of anyone doing. While I know that is not something that can ever be expected out of a doctors office, or may not even realistically be possible, the fact that they offered to do that, it just floored me (in a good way).
Summary: Best Patient Care I have ever heard of in my life!
***My referring Primary Care Dr. was also with Drexel (an office right next door– 231 n. broad I think), it was Dr. Nina Heung who I was also VERY happy with.
