Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers has developed its South Philadelphia studio, CHI Movement Arts Center (CHI MAC), into a home for diverse movement artists and the community, becoming what former Governor Ed Rendell described as «a place where the entire Philadelphia community can experience the art of multicultural creative dance expression.» Our programming includes a schedule of movement classes in practices as diverse as Tai Chi, Flamenco, Tango, Dao Yin Yoga, Ballet, Modern Dance, Ballroom, and Zumba, chanting and meditation workshops.
CHI MAC is also a popular venue for performances and workshops.

History
Established in 2008.
Chi Movement Arts Center, the home of Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers, is a place of learning, exploration, and growth for diverse people representing diverse perspectives. The center creates experiences of dance as art and of other body-mind modalities (including yoga, tai chi, pilates, and martial arts). Through its artistic, educational, and outreach programs, the center enhances the diversity and vitality of the Italian Market District of South Philadelphia and is committed to contributing to the rich cultural life of broader Philadelphia.
Chi, Mandarin for «breath» or «vital life source», is at the core of our artistry and our educational activities. Through the sharing of our critically-acclaimed artistry and educational vision, we invite and challenge the community to experience this essence and discover the power of art to transform ourselves, our schools, our workplaces, and our world.
