Lux-​Living is comprised of a team of Real Estate & Design specialists with varying backgrounds in the real estate market, home staging, and interior design. The firm is based out of Philadelphia but has offices in Langhorne, Montgomery County, and South Jersey. Their interior designers travel for more their more extensive design projects.

Their boutique-​style business allows clients to receive hands-​on attention. The clients are assigned 1 or 2 project coordinators who are selected based on the scope of the project and the coordinators area of expertise. This unique business concept has allowed Lux-​Living to become the fastest growing Design firm in Philadelphia.

History

Established in 2010.

Founder, Kelly Straka, recognized a void in the real estate and home staging industry. As the market became tougher to sell homes, it became equally as difficult for those buying & selling to afford design and staging services.

Kelly used her background in real estate, her creative abilities, and feedback from other Realtors to create a company that offered competitive pricing and guaranteed results. Within the first year, Lux-​Living had sold over 30 properties in less 45 days which was unheard of at the time. Their homes were recognized as some of the best in the area with projects being completed in some of the most iconic buildings in Philadelphia.

The Lux Team now has designers and home stagers that specialize in residential and commercial space and have completed projects in Philadelphia, NY, Miami, and California. They are now working on a Design Center based out of Philadelphia expected to be completed by December 2012.

Business Owner

Kelly was introduced to Real Estate at a young age and has played a crucial role in the growth of her family’s investment property portfolio. She provides rich, insightful, and in-​depth knowledge to Lux-​Living because of her well-​rounded and diverse involvement in acquisitions, development, and creative marketing techniques.

Kelly bought her first property 6 months after graduating college in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia. She found a property in the hot neighborhood where she knew that with a few finishing touches she could quickly add value and gain equity. Kelly’s interest in up-​and-​coming neighborhoods, rehab, and new construction continues to grow and has become an integral part of her business.

Since beginning Lux-​Living, Kelly has worked with top Realtors, Designers, and Builders. She says that her business is based off of understanding each clients needs and budget while keeping it a fun and easy process for them.
