Man With a Van

We had some very heavy and awkward furniture that we needed to move among four locations and we didn’t know how we were going to manage it. I was lucky to find Man With a Van online. The two movers, Isaac and Ryan, showed up right on time and were very cooperative and courteous. They went above and beyond, as I had some office furniture that I couldn’t use or otherwise get rid of and they offered to remove it drop it off at Habitat for Humanity on their way back to Philly, and they also offered to put together a bed that was not in the moving plan. I thought the whole mixed up moving job would take all day but Isaac and Ryan got it all done in four hours, with everything intact. I would definitely use them again!

Can’t say enough about our experience. Flawless everything from beginning to end. Staff and movers couldn’t have been nicer or worked harder. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone in Philadelphia!

I’m not inclined to leave too many reviews on here, but after the awesome experience I had with this company I felt compelled to!
My move was very simple (moving storage lockers within the same facility), but I have no doubts that this company would handle any move you might have to undertake with as much finesse and professionalism as they did mine. They were friendly on the phone, beat out four other companies I’d called for quotes first, and followed up instantly with an email confirmation. Furthermore, they were easily reachable over email during the week, they confirmed with me the day before, and the drivers were in direct contact with me during the day to provide updates on their progress. They showed up 15 minutes after the start of the two hour window that they provided – and that was after having completed a move in NYC and having traveled back to Philly to do mine.
Once they arrived, they got right to work. They helped us downsize storage lockers and skillfully arranged all of our furniture and items so everything would fit. We had a lot of antiques and they took great care of everything. Through it all, they were very professional and friendly. Can not recommend enough!

I called them late on Monday because I needed help moving my stuff from storage to a new apartment the next day. They were able to accommodate me and everything was done much quicker than I had expected.

Everyone from the office workers to the moving guys were amazing. They were able to squeeze in a small move of donation furniture on very short notice. The booking employees were so responsive and helpful and the moving guys that showed up were on time, friendly and did a wonderful job.

These Guys were Awesome!!! They were early and kept the lines of communication open. They were very Friendly, Kind, Professional and Fast! They handle all of your Belongings, Furniture, Items & etc. with Care. They made Little Sis & I Move much easier. I hope that I don’t have to Move again any time soon due to it being quite exhausting but when I do, I will call MAN WITH A VAN. Guys showed up on time and were great to work with. Worked hard and got everything done much faster than expected.
It was a small but back breaking job, moving about 100 stones from one house to another… plus some odd jobs like helping lift furniture to get rugs under a bed and under a dining table. So their «no job is too small» claim deemed true.
They were awesome… highly recommended.

I called them on a Saturday evening after 8. I needed a couch moved on Monday afternoon. They accommodated me and did a very professional job. The price was reasonable, too. I wasn’t home when they delivered, but my wife said they were courteous and very professional. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

I used Man With a Van to have a few pieces of furniture moved from the NYC area to Philadelphia and I was very happy with them. Paul and the office team were great in terms of setting up the appointment. I changed dates and there were no problems — they were very accommodating. The movers were polite and efficient. The cost was exactly as quoted — no surprises. I had one small issue with a scratch on a piece of furniture, but I was pleased with how Paul resolved the issue. I hear so many horror stories about moving companies, that I feel compelled to share this review. I highly recommend this company!

The I needed to move a couch from a vintage store to my house. I had a 2 hour window in which the men were to arrive (from 2 to 4 pm). I got a call at 1:45 that they would meet me at the store at 2:15…which was great because I didn’t have to wait around. The 2 guys were polite, friendly and efficient.

We used these guys to move items from a house we’re selling to a storage locker. The three guys on the truck were on time (actually early) and didn’t waste any time. They were able to fit an almost impossible amount of stuff into an 8×12 storage locker, when it looked like it couldn’t be done. They didn’t waste time and never slowed down until the job was done. They were worth the price, since there is no way we could have moved that items and stored it all in the amount of time that they did it.

I used the affiliate (NYcityVAN) a fews ago when I relocated to Manhattan from Philadelphia for work. I selected NYcityVan based upon all the rave reviews I saw on Unilocal and they were absolutely correct. Paul and his team made my move so easy.
For reference here’s how my move went…
When I contacted Paul about the possibility of using NYcityVan he was very helpful, asking some basic questions about the items (type and amount) the guys would be moving and provided me a quick and REASONABLE quote. He also was nice enough to offer to add an additional stop to the trip (as long as it was close) with no extra fee! He was also quick to respond and act when my management company wasn’t responsive to his request for information so that he could obtain the insurance certificate.
On the day of the of the move the Mike and Nelson showed up when they said they were going to (despite Monday morning rush hour traffic between NYC and Philly), even calling to let me know their ETA so I was prepared. They were awesome! They were extremely efficient, professional and friendly. They had my entire apartment unloaded in about an hour and I had ALOT of stuff. And when we got to NY they realized that getting the stuff to my apartment wasn’t going to be as easy as they had thought based upon the way the building was built. But they never complained once and again were done in about an hour. After unpacking I can confirm that nothing was lost, broken, or even slightly damaged.
If they had been in Philly when I lived down there I would have used them for all my other moves too.
