Mediterranean Banquet Hall

My parents threw my surprise 30^th birthday at this venue this past Saturday and I couldn’t have been more pleased! The food was delicious and the staff was very nice and accomodating. The owner personally came up to me to wish me a happy birthday which I thought was very nice! Everyone that attended commented on how amazing the food was! I would highly recommend it for your next party!!! Thanks to everyone at MBH!!! :)

This banquet hall is tucked into a little pocket of South Philly but once you step inside you are in a charming space that is so unlike the concrete jungle of the surrounding neighborhood. The food was very good and perfectly fresh. The event I attended had some passed appetizers and buffet for the main meal. The buffet was set up very nicely and had good flow. The staff served the hot items and cold items were self serve. A minor misstep was the staff did not remove the appetizer plates off the chargers until about half-​way into dinner service. My table mates and I piled them into the middle of the table. I don’t know if the desserts were made on site but were fantastic. My favorite being the sfogliatelle being perfectly crisp and nicely flavored. Consider this place for your next event!

Thanks to the staff of the Mediterranean for putting together my husband’s surprise birthday party. The guests had a great time, and best of all the food was exceptional.
The homemade fresh bread… Wow. The seafood risotto… Wow. Best Italian cooking in town. Loved it. Will be back. Thanks again.

I had my business party here a few months ago. I normally do not write reviews, but I felt compelled to since my co workers and I had a wonderful experience. The manager helped us on deciding what type of food and bar would be proper for this type of occasion and her tips were greatly appreciated as everyone enjoyed themselves. The food was fresh and delicious! My favorite was the chicken Marsala and the penne vodka! To go along with the food, the banquet hall itself was beautiful and very clean with a spacious dance floor. Ps, the price was fair as well!
