Place is a real dive holy crap I didn’t think there where any bars around like this anymore lol

This post is in response to Mr. Real Truth R., and I am posting because I was the bartender in question.
First, you say that the Heineken was warm and old, I apologize that you didn’t like it, but I assure you that our stock is rotated when stocked, so I don’t know how to fix that. As far as being warm, I pulled it out of the refrigerator where we keep almost all of our beers. From time to time people ask me to put a beer on ice for them because they’re not cold enough, but that’s more the exception than the rule. Sorry that your Heineken wasn’t cold enough, I would’ve gladly iced your next one for you.
Now, as far as the vodka, I assure you that we don’t practice watering liquor bottles. I will admit that the girls next to you agreed that it was water. I don’t know. The whole thing seemed extremely weird to me. Like you said, I’ve been working here 15 or so years and never had a customer make such a claim, and when you consider that and couple it with the fact that I had never met you, then maybe you can understand my reaction. I certainly didn’t mean to be off-​putting. If I was, I apologize.
From there I have to say that you and I will disagree with what happened. You say that I was acting weird, I say that I gave you and your friend a shot on the house and apologized. I don’t know what I did weird exactly other than not drink a shot from the bottle. I don’t drink while I’m working, so I didn’t. I didn’t refuse to do it to be rude, and again, I tried correcting the mixup by letting the house cover the ensuing drinks. I don’t think that’s weird, or unprofessional.
From that spot, I would say that your story takes a bit of a vicious turn. I definitely don’t remember a girl starting fights, and since I have to write an incident report every time a fight happens, I can assure you that there were indeed no fights. I do remember a girl being a little obnoxious toward you because she was insistent that we don’t serve water out of liquor glasses. Other than that, I’d say that everyone was well behaved.
I also remember spending a couple minutes talking to you and you told me that you used to bartend. You then told me that you were now working in marketing and that your company ‘changes the world one pixel at a time’. So I have to admit that I thought that you left on good terms. You gave me a business card, and if I can find it I’ll call you to handle this personally.
Listen, stop down any night Tuesday thru Saturday, which is when I work, and I’ll buy you a cold Heineken and a shot of Cherry Vodka. I’ll demonstrate that our products are what we say they are. If you choose a different drink (s), then I’ll buy you your first ones and we can talk about what happened.
If you don’t take me up on my offer, then all I can do is apologize for your experience.

I had a not so good experience, Me and my buddy decided to get a beer I live a few blocks away, well we went in he got a bud I got a heineken, the heineken seem to be old so instead of complaining I decided let me get us a shot and just drink the warmish old heineken, So I ordered two shot of three olive cherry vodka, the bartender was a guy that said he been there for 15 plus years maybe in his thirties with brownish hair, anyways the cherry vodka was water, not watered down but literally water he didn’t believe me I said taste he made a big deal over it and said I will get you something else but whatever we don’t water down any liquor, So I had the guy sitting next to me that I did not know taste, He also stated yes this is pure water no booze, the bartender still acted weird and turned it into me complaining like ok dude whatever get another shot etc, so I did and the Jack Daniels tasted real thank god … Oh and also there was some girl starting fights with people while all this was going on and the bartender said nothing… place is strange and unprofessional drinks are not cold really and booze is watered down some of it anyway, I would not recommend to no one, was not a good experience at all really… and I am a good judge of places and characters and this is definitely thumbs down from me!!! !

Good beer and shot bar. Never had a problem there. The bartenders are great, especially Matt. One of the last places in the city that allows you to smoke inside.
