I ordered delivery on a Saturday night. The man was incredibly rude on the phone – he did not double check our address nor did he give me a total price despite my asking him several times. He told us our pizza would arrive in a half hour. After forty five minutes, I called to see if our pizza was still on it’s way and he told me, in an aggressive tone, that his delivery guy was out. After another 30+minutes of waiting, the delivery guy calls us to say he’s outside. I went to retrieve my pizzas and he wasn’t there. Instead, he was clear across town despite me having spelled out the address on the phone and providing the correct zip code. I proceeded to walk the delivery guy through how to get to where I was. I’m not from town so it was a bit difficult to do that. I told the driver this but I also gave him the correct address repeatedly. It took him another fifteen minutes to find us and his demeanor was incredibly rude considering that our food was, at this point, almost an hour late. I ended up paying 38 dollars for two, large, mediocre pies. I wish I’d just picked up a digiorno pizza or something. They’re a lot better and not 38 dollars. This is some of the worst service I’ve ever had in my life.

I ordered through GrubHub, and waited over an hour and a half before I attempted to call the store and see what was going on with the order. Nobody answered the phone the multiple times I tried to call so I gave up and called GrubHub and just had them cancel the order. I should have listened to the other reviewers instead of giving the store a chance. Oh well, I now know better.

Called and ordered a pizza for delivery. Called back an hour later to check on it. They said the delivery man was on his way. Called back again another 45 mins later and he told us the same thing. Eventually we gave up and never heard anything back. Thank god we were going to pay when it arrived.

If i could give this place 0 stars I would. Came here around 12:30pm to order a large mushroom sausage pizza and they gave me instead a mostly mushroom pizza with barely a sprinkling of ground beef, not even the meat I ordered. When I complained, the lady at the register was extremely rude and basically told me it was my problem. If i had not opened the pizza box to take a look at it before I left, I wouldn’t have even known till it was too late. Pretty sure they take advantage of people who they think have been out drinking and don’t have their wits about them. My bf tried to order a slice here too and when he asked one of the workers how much a slice was, kept telling him a different price. This place is wack. Don’t bother wasting your money here

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Seriously the worst pizza joint I’ve ever been to. I ordered an extra large mushroom and sausage pizza a little after midnight in the store. I checked it before leaving by lifting up the pizza box lid and it actually was a straight up mushroom pizza with barely a sprinkling of ground beef, not even the meat we ordered. When i complained to the lady at the register she was extremely rude and nasty, basically told me it was my problem. I only got them to remake the pizza after speaking with the manager. My bf tried to order a slice here as well and when he asked a worker how much it was, he kept telling him different prices… This place is wack, dont waste your money here. Never going back again.

PLEASENEVERORDERFROMHERE. I wouldn’t even give this place one star but there was no option for complete shithole. PWe ordered our food at 2:08am via grubhub expected delivery time was between 2:58am — 3:07am they never showed up, so I called grubhub multiple times to see what was going on they were so very friendly and accommodating and not only gave us free money for the next time we order with them they also refunded our entire order in full. However, I then took it upon myself to call this place and they had no response as to where the food was at 3:15, 3:30 or even 4am. They said one person went out 20 mins and the other 10 mins so my food should be arriving within the next 25 – 30 mins. At 3:50am I called for the final time extremely pissed and annoyed and the man said he would find out where they were and call me back. 4am rolled around and l never got a call and they closed and didn’t picked up the phone. I will NEVER order from here again and hope anyone reading these reviews doesn’t either because it is apparent this isn’t the first time they have done this. Do yourself a favor and don’t bother wasting your time. Each time I called someone else lied to me about where the order was, if you have zero interest in serving paying customers then why are you open until 4am or in fact open at all. Apparently the manager was the one delivering the food to us, but last time I checked managers and owners are concerned about a customer calling wondering where the hell the food is after an hour, obviously they don’t care. This is my first Unilocal post and felt so compelled and extremely pissed off and annoyed that I needed to share in hopes of this not happening to the next starving person down the road. Long story short they never showed up and never picked up again when I called and they never even called apologize. I reported this place to grubhub and advised they should reconsider even working with them. After reading everyone’s posts I should have expected this. Lesson learned and I hope if you’re reading this you will choose another location as this place should be shut down.

I order from here pretty frequently on my own, so I recommended it for a big lunch order from my office. They’re good with small orders residentially, but don’t order from there for anything large scale. We got our food and were missing food for about 5 or 6 people, I called back and they said they’d send it and when they returned they were missing food again for 2 and only sent half of what I ordered myself(I ordered a platter and only got a burger). I may continue to order for myself, but we decided we can’t order from them ever again in our office. :(

This place is the worst. I ordered from them at 2am. They confirmed the order, then when I called back at 2:45 they told me it was out for delivery, at 3:15am they said they had no order for me. At 3:30 they said my order was out for delivery. Basically this went on until I could get my money back.

1. Don’t order delivery. They send the delivery guy with only $ 100(one bill) so he can’t make change. 2. Don’t expect any condiments you may have asked for. 3. If you’re new to an apartment and don’t have utensils don’t order anything where common sense might say you need it. 4. Don’t ignore grubhubs star system.

Not much of an atmosphere but MAN do they make a great cheesesteak! It’s always the random hole-in-the-wall spots in Philly that do it best. What a pleasant surprise.

What a fucking shithole. I’ve been going here for a year because I live down the block, I’m often drunk, and it’s the only place open, but I’m always disappointed. At one point, this place closed for a week, reopened under a different name, but served the same crap pizza while complaining about the previous ownership. And then sometime during this awful winter, changed the name back, for some reason? As if the switcheroo changed the pizza quality. I’ve had a few problems with my credit card here too; been triple charged before to name one. And I walk in one night to find there’s a credit card minimum, as well as a charge on top! I should add, the wings here are even worse than the pie. Glad to be moving.

Love that these guys are open until 4AM. The recent change in management seems to have improved the quality. Good pizza and cheese steaks. Usually not too busy, quick turnaround time on the food. A solid spot, especially if you’re a night owl

I order from New Tower occasionally, as it has better delivery hours than some other pizza places/steak shops. The food is okay, but overpriced compared to other similar places in the area. They often run out of food and offer you a substitute instead(but did not adjust my price when this happened to me). I order online from an online food delivery service and they often do not confirm the order until right before they deliver it, so you are left to wonder if you are getting food at all. The chicken cheesesteak is fine, they use chopped chicken, which I prefer. The bread is too soft and seems low quality. Why no Amoroso rolls? It’s a cheap upgrade that could improve the sandwich immensely. Another downside to ordering here is that they charge $ 1 for delivery and have a high minimum($ 15). Altogether, this place is fine late-night or otherwise in a pinch.

Expensive for a long wait and terrible tasting pizza. Even the so-called ‘Mega Fries’ were underwhelming. Called in, they said 40 minutes, called after 40 minutes, they said he was on his way, took another half hour, and pizza was cold when it got to us. Delivery guy insisted we gave him the wrong address, and after telling him directions to our house, he proceeded to back up the street from the furthest end(almost into another car). The only bit of satisfaction I got from ordering from here was writing this review.

Being able to order late night pizza after the bar is pretty bleak in this city for some reason so this spot generally wins by default. The pizza is what it is… the 3 star review is basically for the delivery guy Richie. He’s much, much friendlier than the other grumpy dude that delivers for them.

I’m conflicted here. 1 star for taste of pizza. but 3 stars for convenience at 3am to eat after the bars close. No lines. Always empty in there, not sure how they stay in business. They are friendly, but the pizza prices are a rip-off for the blah-taste. My friend ordered 2 slices, was about 4.5−5 bucks. They gave him one slice, forgot about his other slice, and then re-charged him again for the other slice they forgot! Order ahead of time if you can, you’ll get fresh-made food instead of pizza sitting around for the drunk people to order. They use Eat 24 and Grub Hub, so that’s easy to order online.

This pizza spot seems to exist almost only to serve high school kids and some others in the area. But more seriously, they’ve upgraded the space with nice stone-top tables, a cleaner look, and a sizable TV. The chicken salad sandwich is a disappointment(mostly mayo and garlic over chicken… some lettuce and tomato). The cheese steak is darn good though. Pizza is typical Philly pizza. The prices were reasonable, though the store owner was somewhat misleading. When we asked about having a soda or bottled water, he told us, «Please take whatever you’d like.» Since were hadn’t been there in awhile, we thought he was spotting us something to drink… make it a meal. FALSE. Expensive soda and water. It’s a pizza joint with better hot sandwiches than pizza. Go figure.

Don’t bother. You would rather starve. I promise. Imagine a bunch of microwaveable food. That has been cooked. Then it has been placed in the fridge for three days. Then it is reheated and delivered to you. That is New Tower Pizza.

Local sports game was fast approaching on TV, so I decided to get pizza and wings delivered. It’s only natural, almost expected. Sounds hard to screw up, right? Wrong. New Tower Pizza does it wrong. It started with the actual delivery itself. It took over an hour to arrive and when it did, I received a phone call from the delivery man saying he was outside. Fair enough. I opened my door to see him sitting in his car in front of the house, waiting for me to come out. Is this how it’s done now? Maybe I’m weird, but I order delivery so I don’t have to be bothered to put on shoes. For about 90 seconds we had a staredown, a game of chicken(wings) before he finally gave in and got out of his car with my order. When he approached with my food, he didn’t actually have the food, but a black bag. I guess it was supposed to be one of those insulated food delivery bags, but it kind of looked like a duffle bag. I could have been wrong, at that point my hunger was transforming me into something Liam Neeson would punch in the face in the movie the Grey. He opened the bag and urged me to reach in myself to get the food. I felt like this was the final test of the Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam and if I didn’t withdraw my food in time I would be pricked by the Gom jabbar. It was harrowing. Freshly out of obscure movie references, I brought my food inside only to be sorely disappointed. I ordered an upside down pie. For those who are pizza-disabled, it’s a regular pizza but with the cheese on the bottom, underneath the sauce. When done properly, it’s a mouth orgy for sauce-lovers. This was no orgy, but gonzo porn with toothless crackheads with c-section scars. The crust was ok, but what was sitting on top of it was a soupy mess of unmelted mozzarella cheese and… ***Station break*** (Upside down pizza SHOULD have a base of provolone, or at least sliced mozzarella, creating a layer of chewy cheese underneath. Never the shredded kind.) ***Back to our program*** …ketchupy, overly sweet, unspiced«sauce» that tasted downright Elio’s in scope. It was also room-temperature. Did they forget to cook it? Who knows? I got through half a slice. The other half of my order consisted of wing-dings. Those are buffalo wings with sauce on the side. They were edible, if unremarkable. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place, especially if you live in or around South Philly. There are too many good places to waste a dime on a pizza place that can’t get the basic item on their menu right– the pizza.
