Oral Surgery Consultants of Pennsylvania

Doctors and most staffs are Nice and Professional over there, But only one disgusted me is the one who handles insurance Pre-​authorization, Rude, impatient and unprofessional. NOT RECOMMEND IT!!!

I was Just the driver of a friend that was getting ALL his teeth pulled today and after what I experienced today in this GHETTO office, I would NEVER recommend this place! First we called because the Pope is coming to town soon and wanted to make sure of any changes prior to driving there. He called and was told his appointment was on the 14^th, it was really today! After a LONG hold on the phone, they confirmed his 9:30 a.m. appointment but told him to be there by 9:15 a.m. We got there 9:05 a.m., upon arriving there, it was ONLY stand room, NO more chairs to sit! People were waiting outside on the steps!
My friend FINALLY got called back to get his teeth pulled at 11:00 a.m.the dental assistant who was clearly overworked and underpaid, was having a power trip. One that I did not wish to take with her! She informed me that as his ride I could NOT leaving to go outside. I told her since it is ONLY standing room, in their SMALL waiting room, and I have sciatica nerve problems, .that after I feed the meter for my car, I will be sitting on the steps outside. She tells me with a nasty attitude that I CAN NOT go outside. I asked her was she going to pay my parking ticket if I get one? She states that there is free parking on the side street. I informed her that there are NO more spots to park. AND I will BE outside!
I left to feed my meter. 2 minutes later my friend who was getting his teeth pulled comes outside upset because she told the front desk I was rude and they were talking about rescheduling his appointment! O’ really?! I went back inside and told the front desk my side of what happened. They didn’t reschedule him but made him wait ANOTHER 45 minutes PLUS to be seen!
I took a trip to the restroom, it was SO NASTY! Tissues in an over flowing trashcan, sink dirty and toilet too! Two/​Three places in your house or business that should ALWAYS be CLEAN. waiting room, kitchen and bathroom! Germs, germs, germs! I KNOW this office is making hand over fist money just by how busy it was! But clearly the office manager doesn’t think MORE chairs or a tv would help, just 80’s music from a crappy radio system! After this visit to the dentist office from HELL, or as I quoted on FaceBook, the 7^th circle of Hell, I think I might need therapy before going to get my teeth taken care of next month!

my friend has been having major pain with her wisdom teeth for awhile now and she finally made an appointment to take care of it. let me tell you… she is DEATHLY afraid of dentists… even the thought of going for a consultation will make her cry.
well, that being said… we drove out here on early friday morning for her appt at 830am. we arrived about 20 min early so we checked in and waited. the women at the front desk were SO friendly and kind. they were very sympathetic with my friend.
at 830am, she was called in and i walked back there with her. the dental technicians were SO INCREDBLY nice and patient with my friend. i’m a customer service snob and these ladies exceeded my expectations!
my friend had two of her upper impacted wisdom teeth pulled. i knew the procedure was standard but damn! it only took them around 15 minutes to complete!!! my friend was in no pain. when we got her home, i made sure to check in with her from time to time. she said that she felt really good and that she was very happy. AND it was so damn affordable (it made my friend skeptical at first).
i have been having some issues with one of my wisdom teeth and when/​if it comes the time to get it yanked out, i will DEFINITELY be making my appt here!

Today I went to my 2^nd appointment to get my wisdom teeth removed. (South Philly Location) The first visit was a consultation for Dr. Richman to see what was needed to be done. I can honestly say he was very, very professional and has staff was as well. They covered everything on the first visit as far as what was needed and had to be done including what insurance covered. As for today I had a 9:00 appointment, arrived at 08:45 they took me straight back after signing off and immediately began the procedure. I did get nervous once I seen all of the equipment on the table, but if I can deal with regular dental pain all the time, why worry about this? Just think by the end of the day the pain is out of here! Dr Richman came in and asked how was I doing and if I had any questions. Put the IV in, I felt it run through my body and then I was sleep, lol. No pain at all, his staff woke me up and I was in a wheel chair in the recovery room. I was disoriented, because I had no clue how I got from the exam chair and room to the recovery room in a wheel chair. The only thing is I didn’t get a chance to say thanks to Dr. Richman, I wish I would’ve. Just know a lot of places don’t accept specific dental insurance and give you the run around, so it’s hard to find a good reliable expert that can do their job and are good at it. I would recommend Dr. Richman to anyone! By the way I waited 3 years to get these teeth taken out, because I could not find the right oral surgeon that I was comfortable with. If you have to go to a oral surgeon, make sure you go see Dr. Richman, you won’t be disappointed!!!

One of the worst experience. my wife had an appointment to get her wisdom tooth pulled, all 4. When we arrived the staff did not have the correct information. They said it was only one tooth, and was not scheduled to get put to sleep while the wisdom tooth will be pulled out. At the same time the co-​pay was different what was initially stated and when we ask to double check, the staff rudely said you will still be responsible for the co pay.
I am an army guy and barely have time to spend time with my wife. My job is not the best but think about customer service. This could of been handled more professionally.
If you want bad customer service, a headach trying to call in for an appointment, and experience staffs that do not know what they are doing then this is for you.
If not DO Not come here. Do not waste your time or money here. there are way better places. I rather get my own tooth pulled without any sleep in the army then do go through this again.

Dr. Bowser is awesome. He is personable, thorough & knows his dentistry ! My family dentist sent me to him, two years ago. He is the kind of a doctor you see on TV– He alleviated my fears, explained everything & performs with ease & confidence.
I highly recommend him. He is really that 1 in a 1,000 – !

My experience with Dr. Richman and his staff is the polar opposite of Tee R.‘s experience.
I have unfortunately had a lot of oral surgery in the past few years. Paying for years of neglect.
My personal experiences with Dr. Richman and his staff have been very positive. I have had a sinus lift, dental implant, and a bone graft performed by him. I have had treatment at his South Philadelphia and have also recently gone to his brand new office in Center City.
All the work has been excellent and very affordable.
As I am nervous about dental work I have been given general anesthesia for each surgery and they have always made sure I was comfortable as I was going under the medications.
Dr. Richman and his assistants have always explained the procedures and answered my many questions (I have a lot of questions).
I would highly recommend Dr. Richman.
