I wish this place was still open … so I figured I should add a review in case they do open again … I started going to the Parker Pub when I first moved to Roxborough. For my first visit, I got a seat at the bar and witnessed Roy Halladay’s no-hitter in the playoffs, and the place went crazy. So it was off to a good start, to say the least. Once the Quizzo night returned, I regularly came for dinner on Wednesday nights. Jim the Quizzo host had great questions and included a round of either music clips, movie clips, or TV theme song clips, which was always fun. The service was good to the point that our beers were often arriving just as we sat down … so we couldn’t ask for more. The Parker fries were the signature item — but all of their sandwiches(meatball, chicken parm, etc) were really good as well.

temporarily closed:(back-stage owners are fighting with the managing-owner and decided the best way to resolve things was to shut thebar down. assholes. this is some bullshit. we want crab and wing nights back. (trying not to derail the good star-rating with the 1-star update that 2⁄3 of the owners deserve unless it’s absolutely unavoidable…)

okay i take it back, these wings aint above average they’re the best fuckin wings ive ever had. only two things at play here people: they actually use frank’s red hot, and they cook the shit outta the wings till they’re nice and crisp. it aint rocket surgery. oh, and the hot wings are actually hot. what a revelation.

This is our go to neighborhood bar. Staff is nice and attentive. Usually have a drink special/happy hour going on. Good bar food. Great mussels. Great parker fries, makes other crab fries seem pedestrian. Can’t miss anytime of the week location.

I haven’t been to Parker pub often, but I just went to watch the Flyers game and it was a very nice experience. It was a slow night there so we didn’t have any problems finding a seat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and told us the specials(.60 shrimp). The food was good and not too pricey. We got the Cajun shrimp, pork sandwich, parker fries, and clams casino. I wanted the crab imperial but they we out so I got the casino instead. I would not get the casino again, but my boyfriend loved the pork sandwich. I would defiantly go there again, especially because the bar stools are so freaking comfortable.

based upon the reviews I decided to come in and try the parkers fries — the fries arent anything special just basically seasoned fries but the melted cheese was very good so the cheese gets 5 stars and the fries get 3

I used to be a regular here at one time. I haven’t been lately as several regulars have left, and some of the old bartenders left as well. Good things: the crowd(I have met some people I am happy to call friends or acquaintences), Food, the Parker Fries with the cheese rule, and the mini tacos. You won’t find any fancy food here, but keep in a mind its a pub, not a fancy resturant. I agree with the some comments about service(both positive and negative). Some of the servers were great. One of them(Mike) I missed. But some of the servers, I just don’t understand. They don’t smile, don’t say hello or even look at you. They socialize with who some people or at least anyone they think is «cool.» But if you’re not part of their crowd, forget about it. They are slow in getting you in your food or drink They won’t be any more pleasant with you after you didn’t complain or give them a hard time but did give them a great tip. Someone needs to tells those servers this is work, not social hour. Overall, not a bad joint, if you get someone like Mike(or a certain server thinks you’re «cool» enough), the place is excellent and will make you a regular, but if you get a certain server and they decide they don’t like you, watch out!

Fiancé and I came here with his cousin a couple of weeks ago. We happened to hit the«kinky trivia», which was fun, though a bit awkward given that this was only my third time meeting his cousin. Fiancé and I both ordered burgers — they were cooked perfectly, and though they didn’t come with the usually tomato, lettuce, and onion toppings, they were very flavorful and delicious without the toppings. Prices were great, and I didn’t even notice that the burgers didn’t come with fries! We also ordered some wings, which were nice and spicy. Service was good — the guy who waited on us was friendly and gave good recommendations for food. He was attentive in refilling water and asking if we wanted more drinks, and when we wanted the check, it was very easy to find someone to help us get it. Overall, a good little place with a great local feel. I imagine it would be tons of fun during an Eagles game!

I went for wings the other night… Wings: B+: rather small wings, but good BBQ Sauce Service: B-: one waitress took our order, then delivered our food… then got a phone call and remembered she had shuffle board with friends so ran out taking a Twisted Tea… then another waitress took over, who was very nice. This is def a local Roxborough place

I really do enjoy myself when I go to Parker Pub. The bartenders are friendly(most of the time), the drinks are reasonably priced, and the crowd is usually civil. The best part about this bar… the bar stools! Parker Pub has the most comfortable bar stools ever. If I put my feet up I could fall asleep. Service: A, =) Food: B … What they serve is good(especially the Parker Fries), but they have had the same limited menu for a while. It might be time to revamp or add some new dishes. Don’t be mistaken by that suggestion, what they do serve is GOOD! Atmosphere: B+…Sometimes it is overcrowded(like on game nights, but get there early to get a seat and you’ll be fine) Overall: A– Extra note — Parking is rough sometimes, but there is always space at the end of the block next to the park.

This pub is close to my house so I am there a few times per month. A local crowd mixes well in age. Coors Light is cheap all day everyday and the food is about average for bar food. The Burgers and wings are solid, and the frys come with a good cheese sauce. The bartenders know how to make most all drinks and strength of alcohol is generous! They closed for a few days a week ago, we are not sure why. Service is not the best right now as I believe they just hired some new people. All in all, you can go there to eat okay, drink well, and listen to music(Electronic Jukebox) for pretty cheap.
