Paula Hian is an internationally-​recognized designer whose edgy, yet distinctively sophisticated creations have been worn by stars such as Jennifer Aniston, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Momsen and Brooke Shields. After having built a name for herself in New York, Paula Hian is currently in the midst of taking France by storm. Hian’s elegant day and evening attire, always inspired by contemporary elegance, can be found at her showroom in Manayunk, as well as in numerous specialty boutiques around the country.

Paula Hian majored in art history at Northwestern University and upon graduation, she enrolled in New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. There she was selected to go to Paris where she was awarded first prize for the USA in the coveted competition, «Concours International des Jeunes Créateurs de Mode.» The winning dress is in the permanent collection in the Louvre.

I absolutely love Paula Hian Designs. Her showroom is definitely worth going to if you are looking for one of a kind pieces. They are extremely helpful at the showroom and not at all intimidating like some couture showrooms can be. I highly recommend Paula Hian for her fabulous designs and she also has amazing sale prices as well!

Paula Hian is nestled on Gay Street in Manayunk and has great one-​of-​a-​kind, classic pieces. These originally designed pieces are manufactured in France and have a European chic flare. Paula’s designs are always ahead of the current trends but are still timeless– I still wear designs from last year and years before! I love the materials and the unique designs that the boutique has to offer. Service is great. One of the highest quality boutiques in the Philadelphia region! I would highly recommend ‘Paula’s Closet’ to anyone who appreciates high-​fashion and classic looks.
