I don’t know how to feel about a place that gives me the distinct impression that I’m rifling through merchandise that ‘fell off the back of a truck.’ I doubt there is any validity to this sensation, but it has to do with the general lack of organization of the store. As Russ mentioned, the piles and piles of perfume boxes make it very difficult to find what you are looking for. However, if you are looking for a discontinued fragrance or a better deal than you would find at a department store, this might make for a good option.
Also, you won’t be able to get the stench of perfume out of your clothing for days.

I once stumbled into Perfumes of Venus during an arduous shopping trip. The walls are wallpapered with boxes of fragrances for both men and women which can make your search slightly difficult. The man and woman team behind the counter is very helpful though, and can pretty much find anything you’re after. I finally selected a small bottle and they wrapped it up for, complete with a bow. Upon giving the gift the receiver said, «I’m assuming you wrapped this yourself,» implying that because of the terrible wrap job, I must have done it myself.
