History
Established in 2003.
The Center for Architecture was founded by the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects to develop and produce public programming on architecture, urban planning, and design — and to act as a hub for Greater Philadelphia’s design + build communities. Architects, engineers, construction firms, and related industries often host educational programs for their members at the Center. Programs produced by the Center are aimed at making architecture accessible to the general public. Exhibitions at the Center are always free and available to visit during regular business hours, except during private rentals.
