Philly Music Lessons specializes in connecting students of all ages and skill levels with great teachers in the Philadlephia and Main Line area. We recognize there are endless reasons for learning music, and our teachers are encouraged to cultivate unique lessons based on the interests, needs, and learning styles of each individual. We offer in-​home lessons throughout the Greater Philadelphia Area, and also offer lessons at our Fishtown location. Technique, theory, composition and improvisation are all taught within the context of student goals. We have instructors for guitar, bass, piano, drums, cello, violin, voice, ukulele, banjo, clarinet, saxophone, flute, trumpet, trombone, upright bass, and more. Their expertise ranges from classical to jazz, to modern and other niche styles. Beginners and advanced students of all ages welcome!

History

Established in 2010.

We’ve been teaching students of all ages in the Greater Philadelphia area for over 4 years now. We’ve continued to grow because of our staff of gifted and dedicated teachers. Philly Music Lessons started out as just one guitar teacher with a passion for sharing his love of music with others. It quickly grew into a multi-​faceted music education hub, providing the space, resources, and community for local teachers to construct unique and relevant cirricula to share with a diverse and growing body of students. We now offer lessons in guitar, piano, drums, bass, violin, cello, ukulele, flute, clarinet, sax, voice, banjo, trumpet, and more. We also offer guidance with songwriting, improvisation, theory, composition, and music technology (recording, engineering, production) in addition to traditional, classical approaches. We look forward to continuing our service to the Greater Philadelphia area!

Business Owner

I am a music educator, performer, composer and producer with over 15 years of experience. Since obtaining my Bachelor’s of Music in Performance from Temple University in 2007, I have been teaching private music lessons in the greater Philadelphia area to students of all ages. I began Philly Music Lessons as a guitar teacher who enjoyed sharing his love of music with others. When I realized how many amazingly talented musicians and teachers I knew in the area, I began expanding into other instruments. I truly believe we have the best teaching staff in the area, and we’re always striving to make our lessons more engaging and personalized!
