My favorite go to phở joint when I drive into Philly! It’s as authentic as it gets, no Chinese or Koreans making it here. It’s the real deal, that deep slow and low cooked broth with all the variations of beef as it was meant to be! Best part… they open at 9am for that hangover cure!

By far the most flavorful Phở in Philadelphia and surrounding are. If you’re looking for a bowl of deliciousness that will not break the bank this is your place. We dine-in because fresh is best but we always get an order to go as well(uncooked noodles). Yummm!

One of the best Phở places in NOVA. Although it is a chain, their quality is still at an all time high. The best thing, other than they’re really really good is that they are fast. By the time you sit down you’ll be getting your meal in a matter of seconds. They are a cash only place, which can be an inconvenience but that should not deter you from this place. They’re really authentic and what I like about them is that they never ask me how to food is. They know their food is great so why bother the customer with that question?

My hands were still cold from the winter air when my beautiful bowl of Phở arrived. And that’s in part to two factors: The menu is extremely short with only variations of Phở and the service is extremely fast. The Phở was very good, so good that I actually referred to it as Phở, a distinction that I have not given out lightly since my trip to Vietnam in 2014(I usually refer to sub par bowls of Phở as just Vietnamese Soup). The broth was packed with beefy flavor, not the least bit watered down, and served at mouth blistering temperatures just the way I like it. The broth was silky smooth and left a fantastic waxy coating on your lips. The noodles could have been a bit more el dente for my taste but that’s just being picky. Décor is at a bare minimum but you won’t notice if your face is buried in the bowl the way it should be.

This is a very popular phở place and if phở is all you want. Because all they serve is phở the food will come very quickly. I like choice number 1. The large bowl is about 8 while the regular is about 7. This is a great place for cheap eat in philly.

Because it was so plain inside, I wondered if it wouldn’t be overrated because of Anthony Bourdain, but it turned out great. Man, the Phở was easily the best I’ve had. And the server was incredibly attentive when taking our order and making sure we understood what we were buying. Very reasonably priced, too Give it a try.

Went there 3 weeks a go on weekends and lucky to get parking spot easily in the front of restaurant. My husband always loves their phở among the similar restaurant. The portion was big and flavorful. You can order raw steak meat on the side. The price also cheaper than the other one in the front. Try their Vietnamese coffee too, never failed to wake u up

Had to stray from my usual and find a new spot. I must say, I’m impressed. Phở bowls are smaller than other places I’ve been but the broth is very flavorful. I ordered the phở dac Viet(it’s not called that on the menu btw). It’s basically phở with everything in it. I ordered it in large since I was splitting it with my son, but when it came out, I thought they made a mistake and gave me small, until I looked at the table next to me and the bowl was even smaller than mine. I guess it’s a good thing I wasn’t very hungry. Vietnamese iced coffee was delicious. They actually served it how it should be served… in its drip brew. I hate when it’s all premade and not fresh. Skip the fresh coconut drink. It’s not even worth the price. Tiny cup, a few measly pieces of coconut, and it wasn’t cold.

Phở 75 has some pretty good phở! I am a fan of their #2. It has my favorite combination of meats, brisket, fatty flank, and tripe! My other favorite phở place is Phở Ha in the shopping center at 6th and Washington. Compared to Phở Ha, the broth at Phở 75 is «cleaner»(not as greasy) and saltier. I actually like a greasier/fattier broth and prefer the broth and Phở Ha. Phở 75 does seem to use fresher and more quality ingredients though. Their sprouts are always so crispy, not brown or wilted, and their basil doesn’t come with bruised leaves either. The cuts of meat are also very distinct at Phở 75(e.g. when they say fatty flank, you are going to get flank with some distinct fat on it! Elsewhere, the flank might just be flank with stringy tendon, which is not a good cut.) The«large» at Phở 75 isn’t all that large either, it’s the same size as a small at Phở Ha. I don’t think it’s worth it to upgrade. Phở 75 is also a dollar or two more expensive. Perhaps you are paying for the fresher and leaner ingredients. I’ve also tried their iced coffee with condensed milk. It’s okay. It’s served with the Vietnamese drip coffee filter and a cup of ice. You have to ice it yourself but there’s not enough liquid or condensed milk. I have to add in water every time or it’s super bitter. So overall, if you want«healthy» Whole Foods quality phở, head to Phở 75. If you want some cheaper comfort food phở, head to Phở Ha!

They do one thing, but they do it well. Great phở — good broth! Although that particular day, I did wish I could have gotten other sides or apps to complement the phở. No frills dining. I kind of felt like I was eating in a food court. Fast service though.

I’m riding the phở train around Washington Ave. The phở at Phở 75 is pretty good. I dont really have any complaints. The interior was obviously not very impressive. I got a 90s school cafeteria feel from it. However, the service was super quick. I got two bowls of medium phở within 5 minutes after ordering. Their phở was good. No complaints on the broth or noodles. It fulfilled my craving of warm noodle soup on a rainy day. If anything, comparatively, I felt like Phở 75 gives the most generous portion of meat. I really couldn’t even finish it all. Phở 75 is just another restaurant on Washington Ave where they have the best phở.

Had a heck of a time trying to find the place because my GPS kept bringing me to a vacant spot across a cemetery. When I called to get directions, olé Mr. Thanyh Pham mumbled something and hung up on me. When I called again, he did the same thing. I guess he no like speak American or was not the helpful customer friendly type. But based on the rave reviews of this hard core Phở joint, I had to find this joint and sample the broth. So I put my phone’s GPS to work and had better luck 30 minutes later. Pulled into a typical strip shopping center with decent parking in a Viet looking part of town. The place had all the good signs of a hard core Phở joint alright — pink walls, shiny vinyl tile floors, nasty washroom w/ketchup squeeze bottle holding liquid soap, huge one room dining room, and lots of square tables with spoons/chopsticks/napkins/sauces on top. A short silent stone faced guy seats me, puts a menu on the table, and brings me a glass of ice water. What, no hot tea for a fellow Asian? So I ordered a #3 with flank, tripe, fatty brisket, tendon, whatever, etc. I could never understand why Phở joints number each bowl of Phở just for omitting one ingredient. It’s like if McD’s put 5 burgers on their menu like this — Burger #1, plain; Burger #2, ketchup; Burger #3 mustard; Burger #4, pickle; Burger #5, pickle, ketchup, mustard and the beats goes on… Finally got my Phở. It was hot. It was tasty. It was satisfying. It was $ 7.94. It was pretty good. Was it the best Phở ever? No. I’ve had better in Chicago and way better in LA. Sometime ya gotta say«What da Phở?!!»

Eating a giant bowl of hot steaming noodle soup might not seem such a good idea in 90+ degree weather, but this was totally worth it! I’ve been meaning to come to Phở 75 for a while ever since I watched it featured on No Reservations. Service was unbelievably fast — our large bowls of steaming phở came to our table less than 3 minutes after we placed the order! The broth was flavorful, the rice noodles had great consistency and bite, and there was a generous portion of meat. In fact, I actually couldn’t finish all the meat. My only small quibble would be that the beansprouts that came with the phở was a bit soggy and definitely not fresh. That aside, I’d definitely be coming back! And for under $ 7 a bowl, who wouldn’t?

Philadelphia for some reason are known for Philadelphia cheesesteak. I was watching a show of Anthony Bourdain when this place caught my attention. I told myself, one day when I will come to Philly, I will definitely look for this and give it a try. I did! I’m glad I did. One of the best phở I’ve tasted. I felt bad that I ordered the regular size. I should have the large one. But I asked for extra broth and they let me have those. The meat and the steak that comes with the soup was perfect. The noodles was ohlala. I tried one of the best phở in the Bay Area when I got home, the taste and quality of food was very far from Phở 75. I think it will be a while before I will find a good tasting phở like Phở 75. Just thinking about it now, I wish I’m in Philly.

As much as I hate the Phở 75 in Rockville MD(they are a chain), the Phở 75 in Philly was my go-to spot for Phở every time I visited the city. I thought the broth was wonderful(definitely doesn’t pour bags of MSG like the one in Rockville), had generous portions of meat, and had noodles that were excellent. Unfortunately, the champ holds the top spot until it becomes displaced by another and so it has. A phở restaurant near my home named Phở Chi serves a great phở with wagyu beef and there isn’t a phở restaurant out there I’ve tried in the East Coast that can beat this place. You just can’t beat quality ingredients. That being said, the noodles at Phở 75 are fantastic and chewy. That along with the generous size of the phở are about the only two positive things I can say about the phở. With the hellish parking situation(waited almost 15 minutes for a spot to open up on a weekday), I’m not convinced that this is a spot that I would eat at when I visit Philly. For those who are puzzled as to how I can possibly give a 3* for such a «wonderful» phở, it’s because you have not tried better. They are out there…

Phở 75 on the 11th block of Washington Avenue in South Philly has about the best phở broth I have tasted around here. It is rich and complex with subtle anise undertones that seem to shift in intensity from top to bottom of the bowl. It is really quite amazing. I ordered the Rib Eye Steak in a regular(small) bowl and had it steaming my glasses in under 5 minutes. The side accoutrement of Thai Basil, Jalapeño slices, Lime wedge, and Spouts were all fresh and plentiful. After using all I wanted, there was plenty remaining on the plate. I pushed them aside to make room for the Sriracha and Hoisin Sauces into which l dip the beef for eating. Maybe I am just a barbarian, but with broth this good it does not make a difference to me what meat goes into the bath, aside from its contribution to the flavor of the soup. The wonder of the phở is all about the taste of the broth. The most important thing is to be sure to finish every last drop in your bowl to reach and savor all of it. Don’t worry if you want to pick up the bowl and pour the contents down your gullet. That’s what everyone else is doing anyway! CASHONLY — Minus 1 star for lack of convenience.

I finally was able to get over to Phở 75 and I am glad I did. Phở 75 is located in a big Vietnamese strip mall/shopping center on 12th and Washington. There is parking but it is like being at a mall during Christmas. One has to make a few laps and find someone leaving and grab that spot as quickly as possible. Once we were parked we entered Phở 75. The space is simple, clean, white and bright and no frills. They do one thing here; Phở and they do it well. The broth was so good and the portion sizes were large also. I had the small and that was very filling. Our waiter was great and pointed us in the right direction. The soup came out to our table in less then 5 minutes after we ordered! The brisket and chicken were both very good, the best Phở we have had. We also had the Vietnamese Ice coffee with condensed milk. This was excellent also. The three of us had 3 Phở and 2 ice coffees for $ 28.00. Phở 75 is cash only. This is a really great place for a cheap, healthy delicious meal.

Cleaner tasting phở soup base compared to Phở Ha in my opinion which is the nearby competitor. Price is reasonable compared to other phở restaurants although their portion sizes do seem smaller than other restaurants like Phở Ha. Even with a large, I was only satisfied(although I personally eat a lot being a 6 foot guy). Overall décor of restaurant is simple and clean versus Phở Ha which can seem alittle less tidy at times. Overall this place is now one of my go to phở restaurants!
