This location is either bad or good its literally a roll of the dice. I come one day my food is hot & fresh. Next time its not hot, missing items, or wrong order completely. I just recommend double checking order because it might not he right

Not only was my chicken under cooked, the rude and illiterate cashier was the worst. She was unprofessional and condescending. I ordered chicken tenders and they were not fully cooked. I ripped it in different places to see if it was just a section but all were undercooked! With a nasty attitude and even nastier demeanor she said, «I can’t give you your money back.» I said, «ma’am I never asked for my money back. I just want it replaced.» Now the less then qualified manager came over and said he would give me a replacement. Great right? Nope! He was just as awful as his employee. He took back the replacement because I said I was going to call corporate and report the awful customer service. Stay away! I should have known when I walked in and there wasn’t a line at Popeyes during lunch hours. I will be calling corporate and BBB due to them serving undercooked poultry. Update: store called me to apologize after I called corporate. Still wouldn’t go back but happy that corporate followed through.

Avoid this place. The person who gave me my order was rude, like he was doing me a favor. The food was barely edible, not getting sick is the only plus side I had with it. Just face it, fried chicken in philly is like ordering a filet mignon in a seafood place. the two dont mix. Go to the South like in Georgia and you’ll see what real fried chicken tastes like. Until then, dont waste your time or nerves on this place.

I can’t remember when I last ordered drive-through food when they didn’t ask me to park and wait. When they finally do bring the food out — 10 minutes later — the handoff is done so fast that I’ve nearly dropped the food. This restaurant is poorly run and service staff are poorly trained

This Popeyes always forget to give you something … Never get the 3 wings they won’t feed a toddler(super small)… I love me some Popeyes but this place needs to get it together… And the drive thru people need to sound more alive they always sound down and depressed !!!

I love Popeyes. Most of them anyway. This one is fairly new, always clean and never crowded. The owner is usually there and the workers are attentive to you. The food is fresh, tasty and they always get it right. I recommend this Popeyes over the other nearby chicken joint.

I’ve been to this location several times because it’s the closest to my house. I order 2 #7’s. One for me and one for my husband. When asked for mild or spicy I always ask for mild. But every time I get my order several pieces are spicy. I don’t like spicy food. My husband does, but he says that the spicy just doesn’t taste good. The most recent time more than half of the tenders were spicy. Also, they never have the food ready to go. MANY time I have been asked to pull into a parking space and they will bring the food out to me(which kinda defeats the purpose of a drive thru and isn’t so nice for the person bringing out the food when it’s raining or freezing cold) I pull into the spot and wait sometimes up to 20 minutes. When I go in to the restaurant to find out what is taking so long, I am met with a rude manager. Although I’ve noticed that he never acts rude to the male customers. Apparently he has a problem with women.

When I was in New Orleans I asked a local where I could get some authentic southern fried chicken. Much to my surprise she chuckled and said that she honestly preferred Popeyes… so I had to try it. Now I haven’t eaten fast food since I was in high school, with the exception of Taco Bell and Chipoltle. I am reviewing Popeys restaurant the same way I would critique any food producing establishment that takes my money… with brutal honesty. Also, I was dared to write a review for this place so I couldn’t pass up the challenge. Here it goes: It was a cool September evening. I was in my apartment when I found myself being drawn to my kitchen window by a buzzing red and yellow light. Like a moth to a flame I left my apartment and walked towards the red lights which led me to Popeys Chicken. I was welcomed by oil drenched air and a chicken gizzard smell which stayed on my clothes for a few days. The staff didn’t really give a damn that I was there and they hit that point home by not responding to my request for recommendations. I ordered the blackened chicken combo with mashed potatos and rice and beans and while I was eating it I could hear myself getting fatter. I entered a size 6 and left needing a car cover as a jacket. I also found myself wanting to get a lower back tattoo and pick up truck as I finished my second piece of chicken. After I waddled home, I lost all interest in current events, cross word puzzles, and soy lattes. I vowed from that night forward to only wear elastic jogging pants and eat all of my meals out of cool whip containers. I stopped going to work and found a side gig grooming dogs under the table since I was too lazy to get a real dog grooming license. Every time I get the urge to be productive and wear real pants I combat the feeling by walking to Popeys and ordering either the shrimp po boy or the large tub of Mardi Gras Sauce. I don’t quite remember my life before the Bayou Secret Sauce but I wouldn’t trade my dependency on blood pressure pills for anything… well maybe for the double fried crispy dark meat bucket.

Place: clean and small. Service: everyone was busy gossiping or having an inside joke in their native tongue. I’m all for communicating at work and having fun, but they sure made glances at me and my dad when we were deciding what to order in our native tongue. Food: not fresh. The fries were extremely soggy and the mashed potatoes were soupy. Chicken wasn’t even spicy when I ordered half spicy and half mild. Couldn’t taste anything. Side note: they did give us a ton of ketchup and hot sauce and were courteous as we left.

Worst chicken ever! Maybe it’s me but every popeyes i’ve been to here in philly cannot hold a candle to many of the popeye’s i’ve been to in the south and this store proves it. The service was ok. The manager/owner seemed kind of rude when he was taking my order. The food though was horrible. The chicken had to flavor and it didnt even seem like it was cooked all the way. It was hard for me not to gag when eating it. The sides i got weren’t much better :(. I don’t seem myself returning to this popeyes even though it’s the closet one to my house

Having recently opened, and having a hankering for some fried chicken(without having to go to far), I decided to pop into this new Popeyes. As I pulled into the parking lot, I could see the place looked very clean and neat from the outside. As I entered, the place was not very busy. The floors were very clean, as were the various tables. The place is fairly small, though can seat about 20 people if needed. There were about 6 people in the restaurant, and two people in line a head of me in line. The first problem arose as the cashiers were haphazardly attending to orders. Organization was not their strong point here. I was repeatedly ignored and the cashiers as well as the on staff manager constantly tended to people jumping in line looking to correct their orders, get condiments, etc. already, I was not pleased. When the line finally got to the point where I could not be ignored, all of the cashiers vacated their stations. I was not greeted, and they went about standing around, either waiting to fulfill orders, or talking to other people behind the counters. The manager never once instructed these cashiers to take my order, and he wound up waiting on me himself after waiting close to 10 minutes. He could tell I was not pleased and quickly filled my order and seemed to hurry me out of the store, since my order was«to go». When I got home, the chicken was barely warm. The fries were hot, but only okay as they were clearly the scraps from the last of a «fry dump» and the biscuit was room temperature, but tasted well enough and wasn’t stale. Bottom line, for a brand new business in the area, the service was atrocious, and the lack of acknowledgment of a customers presence is unforgivable, especially with a manager on duty. The food was also sub-par, even by fast food standards. Even though the place was clean, I don’t imagine I’ll ever stop by here again as the experience was really not a pleasant one.
