3.5 stars. It’s a fine, basic nail salon and a good, cheap, quick option for when I’m in the area. I have never had any issues nor have I ever had to wait which is a nice change from the long waits in the smaller salons in the city where I live. Queen Spa is big, bright and clean.
The man who always greets you as you walk in is very kind and seats you immediately. He’ll jump in when need be if things get busy as well.
My Mom has been coming here religiously for gel manis and pedis and had no complaints over the years. She used to see Nona who is now only there on the weekends, but she’s a favorite among a few ladies I know so maybe give her a try. She’s been there for years. It seems that choosing the older ladies who are more experienced is the way to go here.
I have only gotten gel mani and pedi and they are a steal especially compared to the salons in the city! Monday through Friday they run a special, $ 35 for BOTH a gel mani and regular pedi. Craziness!
Their regular pedicures are hot rock which I’m obsessed with! You have to pay extra in the city for this treatment.
They have a cute special mouse (knock off Mickey) chair for the kiddo’s to use which mine love!
Designs are $ 5 extra
Tips are cash only, but they do have an ATM on site which does NOT have a surcharge!
Is it the best mani I’ve ever gotten? No
Did I sip a glass of champagne while I was there? No
Did my hubby love me for the price listed on the receipt? Yes.

Have been going here since they opened up and they used to be great! Within the past year the service and quality of work has decreased greatly. Nails would chip within days even with gel and cuticles weren’t cleaned properly and would be cut. This place isn’t what it used to be and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here anymore.

Went here a while ago when they first opened up with their grand opening special. Tanning was meh not sure if they still have it.
The daughter and I both got pedicures. They were basic but hey you get what you pay for.
If I’m ever around the neighborhood I would definitely give them another try

I used to go here regularly from day one. Have my family members also going there regularly. In the past year or so I started trying other places since the quality has been diminishing. Six weeks ago I had the worst possible experience. Went in for acrylic filling and pedi. My feet were cut up to the point that the next day I could barely walk properly. When I was there I had to call the manager over and her answer was that the nail tech was trying to do a good job and make my feet really soft. Well I guess they would be if most of the skin has been removed!!! I Not only was I not taken serious but there was no offer to compensate me in any way. I had to ask for antibiotic ointment and/​or a bandaids! I tried to be forgiving and think positive that it was an honest mistake so yesterday I go back and this time while having manicure the nail tech continuously nicks my cuticles, burns me with the electric files and when I complained about the way they looked she told me «oh its ok we fix next time». Well Idk about you but at $ 40-​$ 50 at a time plus tip, I want it done right and painless! Will never visit again and warn others to be very wary.

I’ve been coming here for 2 yrs but today was AW-​FUL. The girl was inexperienced, gave a pitiful pedi (hardly any effort) and CUT/​hurt me repeatedly with the nail file on pedi. I tried to be patient/​nice but when she started doing my mani (either NO cuticle removal or cut down to the point of pain) I had to ask for another technician. I tried to tell the manager about the poor service so it wouldn’t happen to anyone else. He waived it off and said «you got a new girl». He did not apologize ONCE, and, I had to ask him FOUR times to stop raising his voice to me. I tipped both girls regardless, and the Manager only took $ 3 off of my total (after I requested a reduction due to the horrid experience). Also, the entire ordeal took over 1.5 hrs (regular mani/​pedi — not spa).
The girls that know me here apologized about the man manager’s terrible response, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

I’ve been going to Queen Spa since they opened. I’ve raved about them over the years and sent many neighbors, friends and coworker’s there. My last few experiences there have been terrible, though! Silly me for going back, hoping for the Queen Spa of years ago. It started with last June, the manicurist got gel polish on my engagement ring. Right on the side, in between a few of my baguettes. How did she manage to do that? No clue! What does she do when I told her she polished my diamonds??? She took a nail file and started to file my ring to get the polish off!!! I left incredibly unhappy and drove right to my jeweler so they could clean it. They didn’t even give me a discount on my nails for my trouble!
I went back in the fall, During the week and I was one of a handful of customers. I was rushed through my pedicure and manicure. The leg massage was painful and pathetic and the dead skin wasn’t even fully removed from my feet. There was polish all around my toes. The manicure was awkward and uncomfortable. After I had the gel on my nails, I was just left at the station both hands under the UV lights for over 10 minutes. No one came over to put lotion on me or give me a hand massage. I just got up and left.
Their third strike was 2 weeks ago when I went for a pedicure and another gel manicure. I was in and out in 40 minutes. It was the fastest, most rushed mani/​pedi I’ve ever had. Not worth the money. The gel chipped in a few days and my toe nails weren’t shaped or filed evenly.
I’m done. It’s not worth the time or money to go. I’d rather pay a few extra bucks for quality work then pay their ‘special weekday rate’ and get crap.

Easily the worst gel manicure I’ve ever had. I called to make an appointment, and Sue did my nails. She rushed throughout my appointment, she was rough on my nails while filing them, and the whole process was incredibly uncomfortable. Each nail ended up a different length, even after I asked her to even them out, and then she began the polish. I ended up with red nail polish all over the edges of my skin and she couldn’t be bothered to clean it up. She passed me onto someone else after my nails were done curing and I got the most pathetic little hand massage ever and was sent on my way. The whole process took about 20 minutes, but here I am on day 4 after getting my nails done, and most of them have chipped with two lifting completely.
I called today to see if I could come in to have them repair my nails and was told they would have to decide if they’d fix it or not. My gel manicures normally last between 2 – 3 weeks easily, so 4 days is completely unacceptable.
What a waste of money. I’ll never go back.

I came here for a gel acrylic manicure. I asked to get my acrylics shaped to the «coffin» shape and I’ve never have been put through so much stress at a nail salon, the lady there made my nails look crooked with every shaping and had to ask to get them refilled to start again because I was not going to pay money for nails that looked like a two year old did them. The lady forgot to even push back or cut my cuticles and for when she put the gel nail polish on top you have to be very careful so that the gel can last long and all she did was apply the color as if I was getting just a normal manicure, it’s been three days and my gel is already getting to the point to peel off, very disappointed.

I haven’t been to Queen in a long time due to my love for Emma’s Nails. But I needed a quick mani and couldn’t make it to my usual spot so I figured what the hay. Ugh what the no. Why is the salon so cold?! Do they not have heat?! And I’m sorry (not sorry) but if you are a nail tech you should be an expert in painting nails. My tech was nice, she trimmed my cuticles pretty well and didn’t cut me, but her polish skills were weak! The color I chose was applied so thin it barely even shows up. And it looks streaky. Same with the top coat, barely applied. I don’t know if she was being thrifty with the polish or what. And two of my nails have a noticeable bump at the cuticle like a hard piece of nail polish. Weird. I paid $ 10 for a basic manicure here.

I’ve decided to check this place out after a LONG wait at my regular nail salon. (also only 2 nail techs had me concerned, they work 6 – 7 days a week all day) anyway… I walked into queen nail and spa and was pleased, even though crowded, I still was waited on immediately. I was happy with the service. Gel nail lasted almost 3 weeks (has lasted that long every time I’ve gotten them done at queen spa) the staff is always professional (today I got a pedi and eyebrow wax by Kim and she was SO nice) the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars (like others concerns) is how they clean their tools. Is spraying alcohol on the tools efficient? hopefully i won’t get some type of infection, if i never do it wont be a problem.

My pedi was shit. She got polish all over my skin. When i told her it looked sloppy she did nothing to fix it. Would give no stars if possible.

Nails look amazingly good! I want to give it a five star but my concerns were that the tools are not clean. When she was doing my nails she just spray alcohol and continue with my cuticles. After she was finished she spray some alcohol and put it back in the box. I guess the only thing that was cleaning the tools was the magic of alcohol. I really do want to go back because she was wonderful with me and my nails. I just don’t want to get sick from it.

Went in for a gel pedi and a gel refill. From outside, it doesn’t seem as grand as it really is inside. The design is beautiful and there was no wait. The women working were extremely nice. My pedicure was done meticulously and they provided a wide array of colors to chose. My refill was done was Jennifer who was super nice. $ 55 in total, which is pretty cheap and for great quality! I am definitely returning. Amazing job!

I came to get a pedi & gel mani done on a Thursday at 6:30 pm the sign on the door says closes at 7:30. I asked if they had time or if they wanted me to come back tomorrow. They insisted I stay. So I did. They started my toes and another lady came and started my manicure while I was still doing my pedicure. She then rushed me to her chair where she sloppily rushed through my nails told me to leave them under the uv light and just left. I didn’t say anything and just told myself I wouldn’t come back. Throughout the weekend my gel manicure which was already HORRIBLE started to chip off and a few of my nails were bubbly and bumpy. I came back today, Monday the 4^th day of my gel manicure and complained… something I usually would never do. The owner told me he could redo 2 out of 10 nails! I told him that I either wanted them all redone or taken off and my money back! He had a lady take them off she rudely asked me to wash my hands and shut off the light when she was done. I asked «are you going to redo them?» She answered «NO» so I went back up to the owner and asked him for my money back and he refused! These people are RUDE and money hungry! They did a horrible job on my nails and with their customer service! Go across the street to grant nails instead!

Ok…3 strikes and you’re out! I guess I’m the idiot for giving them so many chances BUT this was the straw that broke the camels back. While getting my manicure, my cuticles were being pushed back to far, I let the girl know it hurt; now I don’t know if she didn’t understand me or what but she giggled… really?!? My manicure hurts and you giggle?! Whatever… I endured. She then cut me the nippers and when she was done assaulting my cuticles SHE PUT THEM BACK IN HER NAIL KIT!!! DID NOT DISINFECT TH AFTER SHE CLIPPED MY BLOODY CUTICLE!!! I was almost sick! I just imagined all the other bloody fingers she mangled and then mangled mine! I even told her «you need to clean those, I’m bleeding.» She nodded and put her kit away. Sandy was the techs name. I’m done! I refuse to be in PAIN during a manicure OR be infected by dirty tools! Can anyone recommend a good nail salon in the NE Philadelphia area?! Even Willow Grove, Abington or Jenkintown?!

Cute cute cute! The place is clean, plenty of gel polishes and styles and time efficient. Ample parking is also available. You can’t find many places like this that’s bigger than a whole in the wall nail salon.

I have been going to this salon since they have opened. At first I had no complaints, now that they have been open for some time I feel as if they care less. The quality of gel polish is awful. There are air bubble marks and the technician must have missed getting the top coat to the edge of my nail because every fuzz is sticking to it, hours later! I could have done a better job with my «gel like» polishes and saved myself $ 30. I don’t think I will be coming back.

I had a fantastic experience at queen nails! The place was clean, up to date, quiet, tastefully decorated and the tech Nikki that I had was wonderful. I got a mani pedi for $ 25 complete with callus removal and hot rocks and it was well worth the money! I recommend this place to anyone in or around the northeast area as a local nail salon– have not tried their other services but look forward to doing so.

I have been going to queen nails and spa for quite some time now, but my last experience was so horrific that I do not plan on coming back. Each time I went in the past, I found something wrong with my manicure and pedicure-​and if you’re like me, I look for perfection if I am paying as much as I do. Nail technicians are careless and do not notice details. I used to let it go because this place is so local to where I live, but last time I went one of the male nail technicians took care of me and I honestly could not wait to leave the salon. He was so rough removing my gel manicure and my cuticles. I came out with sore cuticles and cuts on my toe nails. The salon was so busy that it seemed like a conveyer belt. At one point while he was filing my nails he stopped looking because he was looking at the people in line. I had to ask him to fix things about every five minutes because he was doing a mindless job. At one point he and another employee began arguing in front of me and it made me extremely uneasy. My experience was not at all relaxing. Sometimes they have the employee’s younger family members working who you can tell do not have good experience and don’t do the greatest job.
If you can come in during a morning work day when they are not busy and can get an experienced technician then this can be an okay spot; however, during busy hours I do not recommend this place at all because they just throw anyone working there at you and for the prices it is absolutely not worth it.

I love this place, the girls are nice, the service is good, it’s very fairly priced and they always give a massage. It’s just a nice place to go.

I Still love this place, but whatever you do, AVOID ANNIE at all costs. She was terrible. I went in for a mani/​pedi, as always. I picked out a color and sat down. She nicked and cut my toes, didn’t file anything, barely cut, no massage (which is fine, not much of an issue), the water was INSANELY hot even when i told her about it. She paid zero attention to what she was doing. I get it, it’s not the most enjoyable job, but c’mon.
My hands were even worse, she didn’t clip any cuticles, didn’t file any nails (which I had to do after when i got home). She applied the nail polish sloppily. It’s ALREADY chipped, less than 24 hours later. That never happens to me.
Very unhappy, I’ll still go back, but i’ll be sure to ask for someone who is not her.
