Self Service Storage

The employees at this business are unprofessional and lazy and I won’t be taking any business here because of it. I called ahead to double check on the hours, packed up my car, and arrived 20 minutes before the office was scheduled to close to sign up for an account. I was told to come back the next day (and thus have to upack my car and bring everything back in, just to turn around and repack/​upack it the next day) because «it takes 30 minutes to get a contract started and we’re closing in 20». Well, that 10 minutes of sloth just cost you a loyal customer– I drove over to the UHaul on 13^th and Vine and they were great.
To the owner: train your staff on customer service, because treating potential customers trying to give you their business like a nuisance getting in the way of a fun night out is a sure way to never grow your business.

This place has good prices, friendly people and convenient service. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs extra storage, a mail box or moving materials

If you have items that you can’t fit in your place & can put away in storage for extended periods of time, that Might mean you don’t actually need those items. If you still think that you do, SSS would be glad to take your money while you store things that… you don’t actually use.
Sadly, I am a victim of the system & have paid SSS to do exactly that, but the tyranny is over (for now). SSS has tons and Tons of storage units underground in a nice part of town. The rates are not exactly cheap, but they are competitive. We’ve never had a problem with parking; you can park in their dark, dank loading dock. It gets the job done. It’s never crowded in the office or underground, and the service is mediocre but friendly enough.
Pet peeve: the lights in the storage area run on a 30 min timer. That’s fine if your unit is within 500 feet of the timer. Mine wasn’t. Having the lights shut off while you’re alone in an underground labrynth is less than fun, & having to run through the labrynth to hit the lights is worse. But it’s better than a normal light system where they run 24/​7, right? The things we do for you, mother earth.
You can also send mail from this location AND have your mail delivered here. You know, for when you can’t have your roommate intercepting «special» packages.
