Terrible hotel. WiFi sucks and the Starbucks is not a Starbucks…(And closes at noon)

Checked in on Monday and out on Friday. The staff checking me in and out was kind and helpful. Shower had mold, actually a lot. I was there for a conference and others told me their showers also had mold. I didn’t allow housekeeping in because a coworker told me housekeeping had left the dirty gloves in her room. Still on the second day they left fresh towels hanging in a bag from my door and I thought that was very considerate. The salads are good and chicken is tasty. The female server that worked in the evening in the bar on ⁶⁄₆ was horrible! I have mu suspicion on why she avoided our table, because I cannot imagine she is that bad of a server. I could not get Wi-​Fi there and I was not alone. A lot of people said they could not connect even though we all had a guest room code. So I used data fpr five days… curious to see my phone bill thanks to that. As an SPG member I can say this is only my second mediocre experience, thankfully I was not here on vacation.

Same breakfast buffet as most hotels that you get FREE with your room. Won’t be eating there tomorrow. And the Internet connection just plain sucks!!! You would think being right downtown the Internet would work faster???

My experience at the Sheraton started off ok. I was thrown aback by the absence of a fridge or microwave in 2016 but that turned out to be the least of my concerns in the end. It wasn’t until my LAST DAY in Philly that all of the mess ensued. First, as I am making up my bed with the curtains open, the sun reveals a disgusting pattern of stains on cover that I had slept under for the duration of my trip. Second, as I am packing to leave, I notice that some of my clothes are SOAKING WET. Come to find out its because the A/​C had been leaking water onto the carpet, resulting in a big wet spot that spanned all the way to my suitcase. When I presented this issue to the front desk agent, she responded «that has been happening a lot lately» that’s problematic because water breeds MOLD so if this issue is going unchecked, it is likely that there is mold under the carpet. The straw that broke the camels back was the fact that I was told by the hotel agent that they have a shuttle that runs to the airport every 30mins, only to find out when I needed to get to the airport that it may reach capacity before it gets to you (without notice) leaving you stranded at the hotel if you have no back-​up plan. The hotel offered no remedy except that I could opt to pay for a cab to take myself to the airport. TERRIBLE experience and I will NEVER be back.

Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. If I have to go back to Philly, would stay here again. Located within walking distance to museums and statues (less than 2 miles)

When you hear the name Sheraton, you assume the hotel would be nice right? Not in this case. My first impression was the parking cost… $ 40 for 24 hours. What the?! Considering the fact there is a $ 5 lot across the street, that price is ridiculous. Besides the parking and my 2 block walk, the lobby looked great so I was impressed when I arrived.
That all changed when I got off the elevators on my floor. The hallway just looked dingy and there were multiple mini fridges in the hallway not to mention the maids were still cleaning at 8pm. When I got into my room it was just ok. The sheets on the bed felt of very low quality and there was dust on the bedside table and phone. The rooms have very little sound proofing. I could hear my neighbors through the adjoining door and I can also hear the wind howling. Did I mention my bed was near the door… Like so close to the door that I can reach over and open the door to the adjoining room with out getting out of bed… close.
I got a little hungry so I ordered something off the kids menu. A $ 6 grilled cheese ended up costing $ 11.50… The hotel charged me a $ 3 delivery charge and a 21% service charge. Umm. What?!
We decided to go to the pool which is just ok as well. The pool water looked a little on the cloudy side. The fitness center was nice with lots of equipment. While at the pool this random couple decided to go smoke weed in the pool bathroom. Yes, you read that right.
This hotel is extremely overpriced for its Motel 6 quality. I would suggest staying somewhere else if you can. Please do better Sheraton!

The room is quite big enough. The bathroom is also clean enough. While there is almost no hot water can be used. Although we made the water run for a while and waited for several different times it’s still too cold to take a bath. The price is high while breakfast and wifi still not included, which is very ridiculous. And the fitness is just at the very conner and very hard to find.

I attended the recent Pennsylvania AFL-​CIO convention here, and stayed here for three nights as a result. This hotel has a great location, but is in desperate need of remodeling.
I rode the Amtrak from Harrisburg to Philly for this conference, and then took a cab (not an Über, support cabs in cities that have a taxi drivers union!) from 30^th Street Station to the hotel. With tip the mid-​day cab rides to and from the station ran me about 8 dollars each. Not a bad deal. By the way, cabs chill in front of this hotel 24 hours a day, so you never have to wait for one to arrive!
The first issue I had was when I went to check in. I was given a check to use to pay for my room. I was pretty sure they would t accept the check because checks are super old school, but I figured I’d try. They would not accept the check, despite my pleading and subsequent crying because that’s what I always do when I get upset. I mean, it’s clearly a business check, and you have my credit card on file, so you could always charge me if it won’t cash, but okay.
I agreed to pay for my room with my own money because I could get reimbursed when I got home, but I asked if they could forgo the normal 50.00 hold due to the unusual circumstances, but he refused. I wasn’t about to act like a jerk to my brother in the labor movement and ask to see his manager, so I let it go. I never heard from the manager or anyone to apologize and that’s what makes me the angriest.
When I got to my room, I found out it was a two double bed room instead of a king which was disappointing. The drawers in the dresser and some of the detailing on the top of it were were broken, so I called downstairs and told them about it would I wouldn’t get charged for the damage.
The indoor pool was small, but that’s normal for city hotels. It was very cold and dirty, like you couldn’t see the bottom of the pool when you looked into it. I spoke with another dude who was using the pool at the time and he stays there every week, he said that it doesn’t normally look like that so he didn’t know what was gong on.
The hallways are really dark.
Other than those issues, the stay was good. There are specific details I look for in my hotel stays that they got mostly right. There were plenty of elevators. The beds are comfortable, there was good water pressure. Being a SPG member gives me a free wifi access code, though the speed was slow as heck. I also like Sheratons program that lets you skip housekeeping for 500 SPG points or 5.00 food credit per day, and they were willing to empty my trash cans when I put them in the hallway.
Stay here if you need to for the location or event you are attending, but find a better deal elsewhere if you can.

Pro’s: Staff is very friendly, helpful, and competent. From housekeeping to the desk to the bar.
Con’s: Everything else. Rooms are run down. Carpets coming up. Sink fixtures leaking. Shower head spraying all over. No microwave, fridge, or WiFi included with the room (first time in 10 years I’ve seen that)
Waaaaay over priced for such poor accomodations.

Customer service is good, not the best I would expect from this hotel. The bellhop was very informative and should be a concierge, the current ones did not know anything about the local food establishments. The rooms are satisfactory, ours was not properly cleaned, the phone was dusty like nobody stayed in this room for months. They did not have our reservation what we paid for, instead of upgrading us because they messed up, they downgraded us to a different room. Not satisfied at all…

Got this hotel on Priceline, and the bottom line is that Sheraton should be ashamed of this property. If you have experience with the brand, and have stayed recently at other Sheratons, as I have, this place is a disappointment. Overall, I was able to sleep and the bed seemed clean, but there is a certain dinginess that was unpleasant. My two biggest quibbles:
— Walking back to the hotel at night, the whole exterior of the building was poorly lit, making me feel unsafe right outside of my hotel.
— Peeling paint and mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, weird open grate above my head… these are the kind of details that should be looked after by a big hotel chain.

We found a deal for the Sheraton Downtown on Travelzoo, and decided to book two nights here since we’ve been considering visiting Philly again.
I made the mistake of reading the reviews before going, but considering I’m not that picky with hotels, I thought I would be okay and can probably look through all the negatives.
Well, I’m writing my review to say I was wrong.
We checked in on Friday afternoon — very smooth check-​in, no line whatsoever.
We get to our room on the 7^th floor, and the moment we walked in, this stale, musty stench just hits us. We look down, the carpeting is dirty and disheveled. Not the best first impression, but figured it could be worse.
We had brunch reservations the next morning but when we came back, we noticed an even stranger odor than the previous day… we found out that the toilet was clogged. I called the front and they promptly sent someone up to take care of it but the room smelled so bad at this point that I requested to be moved to a different room. They were very helpful in moving us over, BUT the woman at the front desk offered no sort of apology for the inconvenience, and for the disgusting experience we had to encounter of the toilet clogging. A simply «We’re sorry» would’ve been nice.
We were moved to the 6^th floor, and again, walked into a stale smelling room. I guess that’s just the odor throughout the entire hotel.
The worst part of the experience was that there was an EMS conference going on for college students that same weekend. They were such nuisances throughout the whole night, blasting their music in their room, being obnoxiously loud walking around the hallways, yelling «I’M SO DRUNKKK». Seriously? I know you want to have fun but is it really necessary for you to be so FRIGGIN loud?!
I know this isn’t the Sheraton’s fault. And it looked like they were doing their best to handle the situation because I heard security break up the parties around midnight. But if they’re going to have hundreds of college students staying over, why couldn’t the hotel put all these kids on the same floors as opposed to breaking them up onto multiple floors? All you did was piss off all the other guests who were unfortunate enough to be put on the same floors as these people, and ruining their stay. I could’ve dealt with a certain extent of dirtiness to the hotel but disruption is where I draw the line.
Needless to say, I will never be staying here again.

I feel as though most of the profit is put into the downstairs entrance instead of the rooms. Since the last time I was here I have seen a few downgrades. There were robes at one point and full operation of the AC unit but not anymore.
The room itself was OK… it wasn’t a flee bag but it wasn’t what you think it would be by seeing the downstairs entrance. Parking is $ 33 per night smh. Throughout the night the AC keep us up because it was sooo loud and it was NO way to cut it off! Each time our room was cleaned bath clothes did not get replaced, luckily we brought lufas. To top it off there was NO FREE WIFI! Its 2016 come on… I don’t think we will be back.

I was really pressured to leave a positive review by the concierge and front desk, but perhaps if they spent less time trying to elicit positive reviews and more time fixing up this place, I’d be inclined to say something nice. To be fair, it’s not the staff’s fault– clearly, Sheraton needs to get its act together here. Our room was old (bad carpeting and scratch/​dirt marks on the wall and ceiling), the water pressure was awful, and the water never got hot. In general, the hotel (with the exception of the lobby) was not in great shape. Incentivizing a staff to desperately elicit reviews for bonuses or spiffs does not make up for the hotel’s rundown state. I felt badly for them… but not badly enough to leave a positive review that isn’t deserved. :(

Stayed two nights here at the Sheraton and have no real complaints. The staff is very friendly and my room is clean. It’s not the best looking hotel ever, but it’s above average. My only issues are the food is lacking and quite expensive, it’s not their fault there’s a snow storm though and not many options. The bed is comfortable, TV nice size, bathroom decent, quick elevators, decent pool and workout area, and very pretty lobby. I’d visit again.

The hotel is still under renovation so if you don’t mind walking through the rubble it’s fine. Location is close to reading terminal and other local downtown area. The room itself is okay. Nothing fancy. We came here for the pool for the kids.

When I checked in, the front desk (I believe his name was Drew — tall scruffy guy with glasses) was very rude and not helpful. I requested king bed and I was given double beds. When I came back and asked if they have king bed available, he simply said no (without checking his computer). He might be super smart and remember all the hotel’s inventory, but not doing that courtesy check made me feel he was very unhelpful. I also booked the room using corporate rate, and he did not acknowledge the amenities that are included in the deal (free breakfast & internet). I had to call the corporate travel agent, who called him before all of that was noted on my profile. Totally unprofessional and one of the worst check-​in experience I’ve had in years (FYI, I travel for work weekly to multiple cities).
The housekeeping never replaced the shampoos, lotion, soap (I have to call them every time I get back to the hotel). AC in the room was very loud (I guess because this was an old hotel?)
To top off my bad experience at this Sheraton, there was no hot water at the last day of my stay (this is winter in Philadelphia, come on!!). I had to take cold morning shower since I didn’t have time to leisurely sit around and wait for them to get their SH*T together.
Thankfully, the lady who helped me during check-​out was very helpful. I told her about the issues and she was very apologetic about it. She gave me a few thousands SPG points (I appreciate this — thank you). Her right attitude was the only reason why I gave one star to a hotel who (in my book) should have gotten ZERO star rating.

Had a Design Event in Philly and booked this place with my boyfriend. I booked this place bc of the conveniency of location and scenery.
As we pulled up to the valet, the valet was a bit Rude towards us as we were asking bout parking. They only accomadate cars 6’0″-6’3″ height, for their underground parking garage. We came in with a lifted tundra that’s 8’0″, lol. You won’t see that in Philly. So had to park in another lot that’s outside. The good thing that we paid less to park only $ 20 for 24 hours.
*Sheraton parking: valet parking: $ 44 daily, self parking: $ 32 daily.
As we checked in, and gotten our key card for the room, the interior finishes were a bit dark, and you can see stains on the carpet flooring as you walk the hallways, as for our keys it did not work automatically and had to get another.
We got a double bed room for $ 150 a night, 2 beds, lounge chair, desk, TV with not many channels, no mini fridge, no WiFi (unless ordered), and a decent bathroom. Unfortunately, We gotten a room on the 7^th floor and all you see is rooftops and a big building blocking your view. Unless you are at a higher levels, you can see the view much better of the city.

The next morning, I had an early convention to go to, so we ordered breakfast to our room. When we finally had gotten our order, the hotel staff was rude. I had gotten a breakfast sandwich on wheat bread, lightly toasted with hash browns and he ordered an omelette with hah browns too. The food was okay, but not great.
They have a gift shop close to the lobby area and check in area in a secluded area.
My overall experience was not as I depicted, but enjoyed my time in Philadelphia.

Stayed here for a week on a business trip, all meeting sessions attended were held at the hotel as well. Had a $ 155/​night group rate (block of rooms for the conference members/​attendees) which included complimentary guest room internet. I brought a laptop but the lobby also had a Link@Sheraton setup 24-​hours with free wifi, PC workstations, and printers. You could log in for a certain time limit. As a Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) member, I got a room on the 20^th floor with great view of Benjamin Franklin Parkway and the museums district, I could see St. Peter and Paul basilica from my window! They did offer the Make a Green Choice program: $ 5 voucher or 500 Starpoints awards for each night housekeeping is declined which can be useful at the hotel’s eateries such as Starbucks or the Terrace Café, lounge and restaurant.
Since the hotel is in Center City, you can take SEPTA, shuttle, taxi, or Amtrak to the airport (no Sheraton-​specific shuttle provided). The different ballrooms (Mezzanine and Ballroom levels) were setup for our lectures, meetings, posters, banquet, and lunches throughout the week, with coffee breaks and registration happening in the foyer. The construction nearby (probably due to preparations for Pope Francis’ visit) made access to the hotel entrances tricky to master at first, but location was very convenient to the Parkway Museums District as well as walking south toward Rittenhouse Square. I also walked to the Old City, Reading Terminal, and Chinatown with no trouble.
The concierge was very helpful recommending nearby food places, providing the map, as well as holding luggage after check-​out. Near the giftshop is also an interactive kiosk and traditional brochures as well. The rental car window is really small, hidden underneath the stairs near the escalators. Otherwise, nice airy lobby with spa water for guests, front desk went smoothly, no issues with the room itself. I did not take advantage of the fitness center (did plenty of running outdoors). Not my favorite Sheraton I’ve ever stayed in, and not the only one in town (I realize there is another on Society Hill as well), but a satisfactory stay.

The room was not so great, but the staff here are very friendly and very helpful. The room was a bit old and does not look super clean. But it is still decent.

Across the Seine of Philadelphia otherwise known as the Schuykill and a less than ten minute ride from 30^th Street Station lies the mammoth building known as the Sheraton Downtown Hotel.
I lived large here for one night– the lobby is large, my bed was large, my TV and view of the Saints Peter and Paul Basilica was large. Coming from the cramped and crowded streets of Manhattan, this was certainly a welcome treat only 90 minutes away.
Yes, you are also close to a major highway (route 676) but my room was of a high enough elevation that the noise didn’t rise upward. If you exit the hotel and start walking towards that highway, you are likely walking in the wrong direction.
Check-​in was painless and room service was prompt and efficient, if not entirely accurate. My breakfast was missing the requested orange juice and the selection of pastries seemed a bit too repetitive– same shape but different filling. I would have been happy with a simple baguette, croissant and butter but instead discovered a much sweeter Danish continent.
Shower pressure was spot on and easy to operate, which otherwise can be extremely frustrating. The low flow toilet embodied everything that is wrong with… a low flow toilet. No plunger was needed thankfully.
Since I was here on business for an event hosted in this very hotel, I can also comment on the meeting room facility. Functional is the operative word. This is not a lavish Rococco ball room where Louis XIV would engage in the matters of state. It’s a 1970s/​80s style room with acceptable lighting and the inescapable feel that you are in a hotel. (which, after all, you are)
Décor aside, the AV equipment worked without any issues, acoustics were good enough and the bathrooms were spotless.
Because of the conference located here, the hotel basically chose me. Usually I’d opt for a more centrally located spot but all things considered, the Sheraton was a clean, safe home away from home.

What started out as a fun, relaxing overnight trip to Philly turned bad! I booked the Sheratown Philly Downtown hotel based on decent reviews. Ok, it’s a chain, so there is a possibility of an impersonal service, but I’m not as concerned about that when I’m staying for a night. I care about clean, no smell, efficient.
I arrive at 4:30pm to check-​in, and it was quite busy. There were 3 agents, and I’d have to say they were not very efficient in my humble opinion. But I’m from NYC, so I’m used to a little more speed. But that didn’t bother me much.
When it was my turn, I asked the representative if I could have a high floor room, and he gladly gave me one on the 21^st floor facing the museums. That was nice.
Upon entering the room, it was spacious and comfortable. I was pleased. I’m thinking ok, I can give this hotel 3 – 4 stars. But things took a turn for worse. When I was ready to turn in, I went to take a shower and when I pulled the curtain and looked inside the bathtub, I saw a USED CONDOM on the edge of the bathtub rim. EWWWW massively gross and unhygienic! I nearly had a heart attack. I was going to call the front desk to immediately file a complaint, but given it was late and I didn’t want to deal with it at night, and I definitely was in no mood to change rooms since I wanted to shower and go to bed, I used a tissue to grab it and throw it out.
After the shower, I reached for a towel, and noticed that it was stained and smudged with some black stuff. YUCK. Again, next shock. Thankfully, I went for another towel that was clean, no stain, no smudges.
I went to bed out of sorts and tried to put it behind me. When I woke up in the morning around 6AM, I noticed a strange smell emanating from the bathroom. I went in and looked around, nothing, but then the strong foul smell entered into the room as well. I had just about enough. 3 strikes, you’re done!
I immediately checked out and let the front desk representative know how awful the stay was. Although I didn’t call to complain, it didn’t mean that I wasn’t upset. She was going to give me a free breakfast voucher, but I was leaving. Please credit it for my next stay. Well, I’m definitely not coming back, and I urge all future travelers to inspect their rooms upon arrival.

Yeah, this place is kind of dumpy. I usually stay at Hyatts but the rate here was too cheap to pass up. The hotel is very very dated to the point where it looks dirty. I was expecting much much more from a major Sheraton downtown. Pros are that the wifi was fast (even though you have to pay for it.) Location is in downtown obviously but kind of far from the major restaurant scene. Won’t stay here again and advise others to stay elsewhere.

— Rooms: My friends and I stayed one night in 2009, and our room was kinda big with comfy beds.
— Conference space: I attended the ASHI Regional Education Workshop on June 2015, the space was decent and clean.
— Lobby Bar: Casual and ok for a late bite or drinks.
— Staff: Professional
— Internet: Not free.
— Parking: Expensive!
— Location: Few blocks from many museums including Franklin Institute & Philadelphia Museum of Art, short walk from Philadelphia’s historical attractions, and close to Reading Terminal,

Excellent customer service! We arrived with hopes off an early check in. There was a long line at the front desk. The concierge, Mary approached us and brought us over to her desk. They were unable to check us in early, as the rooms were not ready. So instead she checked our bags, arranged a lunch reservation at a fabulous restaurant and tickets to see Independence Hall.
When we returned to check in, our room was ready and had an incredible view of the parkway and art museum. There was some fruit and cheese as well as a note from Mary thanking us for being patient with the hotel. Patient? We were only hoping to check in, not expecting. They exceeded our expectations and we appreciated every member of staff we encountered during our stay.

In town for business. I am a Marriott gal all the way but for what I do it is easier to stay wherever an event is taking place. So I ended up at this Sheraton. My experience thus far is that Sheratons are a hit or miss. There is no consistency in the brand from city to city so I never know what I am going to get. For instance, in Phoenix the Sheraton is very very nice, Atlanta not so much and now Philly is along the same line as Atlanta. Not good.
Upon arrival via an UBER vehicle I saw an employee standing out front but he never directed me inside or even acknowledged that I had luggage and could be checking in. Luckily I’ve done this a time or two so I found my way to the check in. The lady who checked me in was really nice. Although she had my reservation wrong. I actually had booked a king bed on a high floor. She was able to get me a king bed room but on the 8^th floor. I wish I’d paid attention as I like to be on a high floor and possibly could have had a better view.
After successfully checking in I head to the elevators to the 8^th floor. Now seems like a good time to mention that the lobby was very bright and open. I step off the elevator on the 8^th floor and it is rather dark, rundown, and in need of repairs. There’s some sort of panels on the wall that look like they have been repainted over in a bad way. The dark blue carpet doesn’t had to the situation. I get to my room (815) and there isn’t anything that makes it feel inviting. The floor has some lumps in it as does the comforter. The panel in the bathroom is worn out and rusted as is part of the ceiling in the bathroom. Now that the sun has gone down I wish the lighting from the lamps was brighter.
Seeing as how it is 40 degrees in town and I just left 75 degree weather I decided to stay in for dinner. I checked out the lobby lounge bar called Local. I ordered some chicken nachos and the pretzels. Both were actually pretty good and had some spice to it which I didn’t mind.
So the beds are okay. For some reason, I did not sleep well. I didn’t like the pillows as they are too soft for me. I prefer my pillows to be on the firmer side.
The rest of my stay was pretty uneventful and I am happy to be back home.

Folks I’m very critical. Moments ago I just finished trashing on Unilocal another hotel near the Sheraton so I’m in the mood to rumble. But what is fair is fair and those that are nit-​picking this hotel in my opinion are missing the point. I too experienced issues with this property but the positives not only outnumbered the negatives, I would seriously consider staying at this hotel again.
Pros:
If I were to rate the hotel based on my interaction with the staff I would gladly bestow a five-​star rating. Every staff member I encountered were the best in class without exception. Every person I approached with a service issue took the proverbial ball and ran with it! Exceptional customer service.
The food was very good too. Late night I ordered the sausage with broccoli rabe and peppers sandwich at the lobby bar restaurant and it was delicious. Very enjoyable meal from the bread to the meat. I also ordered room service for breakfast and held my breath waiting for my «soft-​scrambled» eggs with sausage and hashbrowns to arrive. It is my experience that the majority of restaurants overcook eggs. The entire meal was perfect and it arrived within 15 minutes of my order!
Upon my arrival to the room 9:30PM. I noticed that the remote wasn’t working. Moreover, the remote’s button labeling was worn and I couldn’t read each button’s function. I called the front desk and within five minutes a service person came up with a new remote. And, I had to chase him down the hall for him to accept a five dollar tip!
On my last evening I asked the business-​suit attired security person to find the valet to park the car. He tried frantically to find the valet. 20 minutes later (around 11sh in the evening) and still no valet was found. I was exhausted and pissed. I demanded to see the manager. A very professional and well dressed Asian women came out and talked me off the proverbial cliff. She apologized and took care of the situation herself. In the mean time the security person continued trying to track down the valet. Customer service professionals please take note: this is how to handle a situation. Take ownership and work with the entire team to resolve the client issue don’t just pass the buck.
During the checkout process the person asked how was my stay? I said excellent except for my issues with the valet. He immediately removed my valet charges and he apologized. My compliments to the hotel GM and to the entire staff at the hotel. My only regret is that I didn’t get the staff’s name to include in the thank you letter to the GM that I will be mailing tomorrow.
Great location and excellent views of Philly. Too bad I didn’t have time to visit the nearby Philly art and the Rodin museums.

From the moment I arrived to the moment I left I had issues finding a valet for the car. Perhaps the worst valet wait of any hotel I’ve checked-​in or out of. Once the people alas showed-​up they were fantastic. But finding the valet took some doing in each of the three instances that I needed to interact with a valet.
Finding the hotel’s entrance also took some doing. Better lighting and signage would cure this. Sheraton has an opportunity to make this mediocre property into a well performing exceptional property, I hope they see what I saw and take advantage of it.

If this is a 2.5-star joint, Unilocal must be much harsher than TripAdvisor.
As for the room itself, I wouldn’t say it was cutting-​edge luxury but there were nothing wrong with it. I don’t count threads but the bed was fine. It was certainly one of the largest rooms I’ve seen in a big city.
You have to pay from in-​room wi-​fi. If it’s any consolation, the free lobby wi-​fi was fast. Another strong point was a good elevator ratio that meant less waiting than is typical at places of this size.
Finally, I want to address the location since that often interests me more than the hotel itself. One Unilocaler said this wasn’t a nice area. I disagree. It’s kind of a 9-​to-​5 section so late at night it’s on the empty side. In daytime there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. If you try Priceline for the Convention Center zone those places have more of a ²⁴⁄₇ safe feeling, but this isn’t an especially dangerous locale.

They need more vending machines on each floor!
Workers were very nice and helpful.
Indoor pool on the roof.
No free wi-​fi which sucked unless you were part of some membership club.
Perfect location to get to local restaurants and bars even some shopping.
Restaurant in the hotel.
Parking garage which charges you for the night.
Room was small but comfy but the rugs are outdated and some of the appliances also plus the ironing board looked worn out and burnt.
Free starbucks filter in your room.

My stay was brief. I used Priceline and was able to book $ 70/​night which was a great deal.
Pros:
–great gym with up to date machines and plenty of weight lifting machines and areas.
–pool was available. Didn’t end up using it though
–free cookies and beverages in the lobby!
–you can decline laundry for $ 5 credit for food in the hotel
–free wifi through spg membership
–Chinatown and other fun areas of Philly are only a 10 – 15 min walk away.
Cons:
–not the nicest area especially at night
–temperature control in the room was loud and a little finicky
