Sherwood Crossing Apartments

If there is a way to add a fee they will find it.
They fit the standard of predatory landlord.
1. They do not let you see the apartment you will get. I had old frayed carpeting that they shampooed but old dirt kept rising. Carpet must be 10 years old.
2. The lease is an excuse for servitude. It actually contains a clause that you give up all your legal rights.
3. Property managers are rude and lazy.
4. Pet fee is $ 40.00 a month, four times that of comparable properties.
5. They require 60 days notice of intent before the end of the lease.
6. Once they are given notice you receive a letter that the apartment must be returned in like new condition, that is thoroughly cleaned and rugs freshly shampooed, no allowance for reasonable wear and tear.
7. Rent prices once quoted are often nearly 20% more by the time every imaginable fee is added.
Don’t sign a lease here unless your lawyer review it.

Consumer ALERT! This place is a SHIT hole. The staff is a joke, facilatys department does nothing but cub contract so they get paid for nothing. Management is unprofessional and rude. We where left homeless for 4 days while they fixed a septic was leek, that we where breathing in for months (witch they where given all the signs). This place is over priced and not Werth the money if you are smart kelp looking and never rent from morgan property’s. The worst experance I have ever had. Buy your own home people!

Walls pealing, repairs not done although the the office said they were, bugs crawling all over the place, and break ins in cars, all to be expected here. Do not live here! It is overpriced for the amount of space you get too. They charge you after you move out for things that you’ve called 1 000 000 times about. The only good thing is location and you don’t hear your neighbors. I wouldn’t live here again if they paid me. Look elsewhere!

I have nothing bad to say about Sherwood. Ive lived here 3 times in the past 12 years, once with parents, once with a boyfriend and now on my own. I gotta say they really stepped it up over the years. Now they don’t tolerate any crap and now have rules and regulations that have to be met and followed from parking permits (obviously free but just for tenants), to pool passes, etc. Maintenance is great, my apartment is great, super clean when I moved in, new carpet, just everything about Sherwood especially now is perfect. I also received $$ for referring someone to move into the complex. Its extremely peaceful and super quiet when I sleep. Maybe its because I am on the very bottom floor but I never hear any noise ever! The whole complex has a curfew for week days and weekends that doesnt go passed 11pm, so you will never ever find people outside being loud or partying til all hours of the night – its totally unheard of.
This is a very very affordable and great place to live. Its not overly expensive and you get tons of amentities like pool, 24 gym, dog park, quiet, nice office & staff, tennis court, choice of washer and dryer in your apartment or you can use the one that is in your building unit (which only the other 2 to 6 other tenants use. What more do you want!!! Its philly! not beverly hills. Really.
The office has accomodated me alot since Ive been here as well with certain things.
I love it here.
If you say negative things about Sherwood its because your either always late on rent, your a scumbag, or you can’t adapt to living in an apartment and cant accomodate to other peoples lifestyle as well as yours. Dont live in an apartment if thats the case.
If you want a nice apartment in Philly with lots of the extras that almost 95% of other apartments don’t have, and you want to live somewhere CLEAN and affordable for everything that the complex includes then I wouldn’t go anywhere else but here.

This place is a disgrace. When I first move in, I asked how the noise was because I work a very odd schedule and have trouble sleeping. I was told that I shouldn’t hear anything. THAT WAS A HUGE LIE! The bedroom is right by the door so you hear absolutely everyone walking up and down the stairs and the door opening and closing. I do not recommend this place for no one that has an odd work schedule and needs to sleep during the day unless you are a very heavy sleeper. The people who come in and clean the hallway are terrible, the place looks like it was barely touched and very noisy, so again, if you are trying to sleep and a light sleeper good luck!
When I first moved in this place from a quite view was nice. However, when I moved in there was gum in the dryer, things were broken, holes in the cabinets, the shower made noises. An absolutely disgrace! To this day, I have an ongoing issue where my shower makes a very loud pitch noise. I have asked them to fix it multiple times, and with everything else, they did a quick job. I have come across nails in my carpet where I almost really hurt myself. It took Sherwood Crossings two times to fix loose cabinets knobs. It also seems like for me to get anything fixed right, I have to call and complain and then they were send someone. But who wants to live in a place where they have to complain to get anything done.
After my first year, they raised the rent about $ 40-​$ 50 more per month which I guess is average but with the disgrace that I have to deal with I think it is absurd.
The parking is absolutely horrible! You will find people sleeping in their car at night, people sitting in their car drinking or smoking pot during the day. Overtime, I have felt less safe.
They say they want to make you happy but really in my opinion they could care less about what is best for the tenants and just want to do the least amount of work and collect your rent. In my opinion who wouldn’t rather have their rent not be raised or cheaper instead of a summer bbq or a day at Dave and Busters for the first 50 tenants. But hey, I guess for some people they like that they have events. Me personally, I would rather my rent not be raised or stay the same and I can have my own bbq in the summer.
I could keep going on and on about how horrible I think Sherwood Crossings is but in short, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE AT ALL! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I’ve lived here for about 4+ years now. I’ve even switch apartments and continue living here. The maintenance people are very friendly and helpful. There’s FREE washers and dryers in each building to use. The gym may be small but it has everything you would need. The grounds are very large and spacious. They are the only apartment complex in the north east that allow big dogs and won’t charge you an arm and a leg for them. It’s close to I95, Franklin Mills and Roosevelt Boulevard. We are a very big Philly sports team loving community. During games you can hear other people in other apartments cheering on our teams — curiosity of open windows!
