Takka Grill on Torresdale

I teach at a school not too far from here and decided I wanted to order lunch from here. I was looking for places to get delivery from on Unilocal and this was what I found. Over the phone I asked if they could deliver it around 1 because that was my lunch time. They did accomodate that. I felt bad though because they were trying to call me 3 times around 12:50 due to getting lost. (even though I gave them both the address to the school and the school name.) I teach so I couldn’t answer my phone. But I ordered boneless wings with honey bbq sauce, pizza skins and a milkshake. The boneless wings with honey bbq sauce were delicious. I couldn’t finish them until I got home though. They were still delicious then as well. The pizza skins were just okay. I was hoping for something more out of them. Sadly I had to wait until I got home to eat most of them. They were really greasy and made my bag start to slowly break on septa. The milkshake was decent. One of my students liked it more than I did. (He kept attempting to get a sip).

It’s funny because I had already started writing a review for Takka, when I ran into an error. To my delight, they handled it very well ! They made a mistake on my order (for the first time since I’ve been ordering from them) & credited my number with the balance that I paid. I was satisfied with that. It takes a lot for a cheesesteak to wow me, but Takka (surprisingly) has one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had ! The taste is amazing ! Definitely worth the time & money.

I ordered a turkey burger on here, got a confirmation email and an estimated delivery time after placing the order. I waited an hour and 49 minutes for JUST a turkey burger and when I called them they said that they never received an order. Then once I told them I had a confirmation number they told me to contact the number on the email (which was there’s) and didn’t refund my money.

So I’ve been a consistent customer just because of the grilled chicken garden and greek salads. The veggies are very fresh and the grilled chicken is always delicious.
Buuuttt…DONT GET THE PIZZA. For the first time I oerded a pizza and it was HORRIBLE! the crust was completly soggy (I had spinach, mushrooms, onions). It was as if the took a package of frozen spinach and plopped it on the pizza, without draining it. It was disgusting. The cheese they use is pretty good, but I’, going to stick with salads when it comes to this place. Seems like they do well with things cooked on the grill.

Get the garlic bread!!! Omg soo good they jazz it up a bit that’s all I’ll say. It was soo good I had to share so someone else felt the love too

i love love love their grilled chicken ceaser salad the chicken is grilled perfect good amount of chicken i love the cesar salad although i do wish there was a little bit more in amount of sauce. they are very on point with their delivery prices are good with they’re lunch specials,

I ordered kofta platter
Which it 4 pcs and rice and 2 sides
What i can say its the most gross and horrible kofta i ever see i even couldnt smell it and its look old like they pr-​made it long time ago n then they heat it up
Dnt order any from that store

They should close and not having that business anymore

Pizza is horrible. I will never order from here again. A big waste of money. The delivery was very quick but once again I must say the pizza is horrible. The worst my whole family has ever had. Please be advised prior to purchasing. i wish I could give less than 1 star.

This place is usually pretty quick and they’ve never fu*ked up an order. Their hot wings are great!

We order from Takka at least twice a week and they have never failed us! Their products are the freshest I’ve eaten from any pizza restaurant. Takka’s unique menu allows me to never get bored or become tired of eating there. This place surpasses my expectations on quality and quantity. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The Grilled salmon is delicious fresh Veggies, in a delicious sauce, It depends on who’s cooking.

Local pizzerias… this is as good as it gets. I have no idea what it is about them, at all, I have never received good quality pizza from local pizzerias, but this is great quality pizza. Everything I order from this place is flavor packed, I love it. I don’t give it a four or five star review, simply because they are not extraordinary tasting or unique, like a Zavino, Tacconneli, or Pizza Brain. You’re looking for a local pizzeria that will deliver taste and great value, this is it.

I ordered from the new location on 23^rd and Cecil B Moore. This is my first time ordering from this place. The chicken was really tender and season well the rice was good the even peeled the shrimp for you. The corn little bit overcooked but still manageable to eat. And the broccoli with good too. The price is a good Too. just give it a try if your hungry you just want to platter

I attended a birthday party one weekend and the food was catered from here. Everything was delicious and my husband really enjoyed the wings.
The highlight for me was the PIZZA. While most pizza places in the Northeast deliver thick, greasy pan-​pizza, Takka’s has managed to create pan-​pizza that almost tastes like its hand tossed. The sauce on the pizza is tasty and they give Papa John’s a run for their money by adding garlic sauce to each pizza box.
If you live in that area, give them a try!

Pizza was as hard as cardboard and tastes worse with each bite. The Cheesesteak was soggy!

I miss when this place was Valentino’s. Everything was better. That food. The prices. The delivery time. The service. The communication between us and the person answering the phone.
I’m not saying the food is awful. I’m not even saying it’s bad. It’s just… okay. Nothing spectacular.
I remember when this first made it’s name and management change. The food was still great back then. I really don’t know what happened over the course of like, maybe 2 years. And what’s with the ridiculous names of things. Viagra Sandwich? That just gives me secondhand embarassment.
