The Music Class – Chestnut Hill

AWESOME! We signed up our son when he was a little over a year old and he loves it. Katie is our teacher on Saturday mornings and our son adores her as do we. There is purpose behind what Katie teaches and we’ve seen our son learn to love music and develop other great skills (listening, following directions, singing, etc). They provide a CD and an app to download so you can listen to the music on your own as well as read the book they provide. It’s convenient, fun, and I recommend it to anyone with young kids.

I can’t say enough about The Music Class in Chestnut Hill. Our instructor is Katie Drake, who is in a category of her own. The music is nice, they provide a good CD and outline with lyrics. But Ms. Katie is the reason this is the perfect music class. Great mix of singing, moving and instrument play. She has the perfect balance of laid back and have fun in class while keeping everyone in check and respectfully moving along with the goals. You can tell she is genuinely interested in the children, she’s lovely to the parents and has a musical pedigree far above and beyond that of any music teacher we have met yet. And we did try 5 other music classes before getting hooked on «The Music Class» because of Ms. Katie. I recommend this class to all of my friends.
