The Philly Hair & Makeup

This is my favorite salon in Philadelphia! A gem in the city with the best service. Ashley is so wonderful and knows just what to do when you sit in her chair. She is so accommodating and professional. Best salon!!!

Upon getting engaged, and booking The Philly Hair & Makeup to do my wedding, it just made sense for me to begin getting my hair cut by Shaelyn, who I had booked to do my hair at the wedding. I wanted someone I felt comfortable with to do my hair on my wedding day, and from spending roughly a year visiting with her for trims, and my trial, I knew we had the right girl for the job! For trims and cuts, my hair always looked healthy and fresh, and they sent me on my way all dolled up to boot. For my trial, Shaelyn hit the nail on the head… and gets brownie points for managing my mother who tends to be just a tad on the anxious side. For my wedding, my hair looked amazing and stayed in the entire night. My entire bridal party looked stunning, and we loved just being able to relax in the room and not run around like crazy. She trained my Matron of Honor on how to handle the vail, and it worked out perfectly. Now, with the wedding behind me, I was torn as to if I’d return here… as it was sort of a means to an end… but honestly I can’t see myself going anywhere else! I had a great hair year!

This salon is great and Ashley is absolutely wonderful. I came in to do something fun and different with my hair since I had been doing the same style for a while. Ashley sat down with me, listened to what I had to say, and looked at the pictures of different hairstyles I had on my phone. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted but the best thing about Ashley is that she gets the idea of what you are looking for and then she creates something great. Not only that but she is fun to talk to. I love my color and cut and I will definitely be coming back. I’ve also seen her do wedding makeup and hair and it was fantastic.

I love coming to Philadelphia to get my hair done with Ashley at The Philly Hair and Makeup Salon. The salon is beautiful and is located in a great area near other shops I love. The services are reasonably priced and the staff is incredibly friendly. I can’t wait to come back!

The place was great. Got a nice haircut for a decent price. They have a lay down shampoo sofa thing that’s really comfortable and the stylist were friendly and easy to talk to. Convenient location in liberties walk and there was parking in the back.
